Came in on a whim after planning a day in salt lake. It was a nice time around 2 pm to come in on a weekday I ordered using their QR code and my food was delivered without much of a delay! They had chopsticks and also used forks and such for their dishes. Very courteous staff and a nice locale. It does seem small, but it has a load of charm

Google
Good value Chinese food. We got the spicy cucumber salad, beef noodle soup, and general Tao chicken. Big portions. Noodle soup tasted great. Rest was decent.

Google
we went to Miao Miao Cat Cafe (which is also really recommended) in SLC and got introduced to this restaurant “Sasa Kitchen”, an authentic Chinese restaurant that serves really good noodles, orange chicken,… and their boba. I love their boba, especially their strawberry milkshake boba and handmade desserts. The service is super nice, servers are friendly, and will come back soon.

Google
We continue to return here for the spicy sour noodle soup. It is the most amazingly hearty and spicy bowl of noodles. The staff here are so friendly as well. If you need anything just ask them and they will take care of it. The restaurant itself is a bit of a hole in the wall, but you won’t mind that once you are enjoying the spicy noodle soup.

My partner and I love this place so much. Everything so delicious and authentic made with care and love. They are so nice to us every time we come in. Most amazing place ever. They gave us a free bear pudding that was so adorable 😻 I recommend trying everything they have on the menu it's to DIE for. Love this restaurant I wish them all the best success in their business! Thank you guys so much for being so amazing!!!

Google
Very solid Chinese food here! I got the Kung Pao chicken which our server said was one of the more popular dishes. It was definitely plenty of food for one person and a little on the expensive end, but not bad. The spice level was perfect for me and although I didn't love the texture of the chilis (they were a bit chewy), the flavors were overall food. Not sure if it was for the new year, but they even brought over some oranges to have at the end of the meal!

The ground pork with shaved noodles is the perfect blend of al dente goodness with a homemade taste of spicy chili oil. Highly recommend this place with authentic Chinese food 😊

Google
AMAZING! Me and my husband love trying new foods and flavors and we are so glad we decided to try this restaurant. I got the spicy numbing soup with shaved noodles and sliced beef. My husband got the pan fried udon noodles with egg drop soup and both were delicious. We were both very full by the end and I even had a large portion of leftovers. Great quantity for the price. A must see if youre craving good asain food in Salt Lake!!!

Yelp
Sasa Kitchen is a true gem! The food is absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, catering to all tastes. The service was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and efficient. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual dinner or a special occasion.it's a must-try! I can't wait to come back and try more of their amazing offerings. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We love SASA. We used to live close by and would eat here at least once a week. Not only is the food fantastic, but the staff is incredibly friendly. Family owned, you know the person making your food in the kitchen is cooking with love. Even the first time we ate here we were treated like regulars and every visit was better than the last. There is a small parking lot so it's always easy to find parking. The ambiance inside is warm, cozy and quiet so you can easily have a conversation. If the weather is nice there is patio seating as well. By the register they have a TV that streams various bobas being made and it's actually very enjoyable to watch. So if you're waiting on take-out, and need a break from your phone, you are entertained. We have tried almost everything on the menu except for the hot pot and you honestly can't go wrong by ordering your favorite dish or asking for their recommendation. Everything is so good!

Yelp
Amazing service! We ordered a huge team lunch here for pick up and it was boxed up and ready to go when I arrived. The person at the counter sent me back to the office with two cold, delicious drinks on the house because it was hot outside - SO kind. He also helped me carry the box to my car - totally not necessary, but again, so kind! The food is delicious - most of my team had never been before and everyone really enjoyed it. I got the general tso's tofu and it was delicious, and it came with two potstickers, rice, and veggies. Everyone got a soup with their order as well! The staff is amazing - can't wait to come back here again!

Yelp
I generally don't order to go, but here is a review for the delivery friends. It's good! They finished cooking the food fairly quickly so the driver was able to get here quickly. And the most impressive part was the playing. They used high quality sealed containers so nothing leaked and everything stayed warm. The food was tasty. I had the sesame chicken and potstickers, and they were both good. Nothing to complain about here.

Yelp
Spicy fried tofu - super crispy with a delicious sauce Chicken gizzards - if you like gizzards, this one is pretty good Hot & spicy with sweet potato noodles (glass noodles) and pork intestine - this has the numbing peppercorns in it. My wife liked this one more of the two broths Spicy & sour with shaved noodles (thick noodles) and ribs - I enjoyed the flavor of this much more. And the shaved noodles were perfect in it. The ribs were cooked with a delicious flavor as well. None of the broths were very spicy. You can add the chili oil they have on the table, but still not all too hot.

Yelp
Best noodle in salt lake city. "Delicious noodles with rich broth and fresh toppings. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. A must-try!

Yelp
Chinese street food place w/ good hot noodles & little snacks. I was sad to see they got rid of some of their delicious hotpots that I came for but I enjoyed my spicy beef noodles. Reminds me of a place where Korean junior high kids would go hangout to get noodles and boba after school (not an insult even tho it sounds like one.)

Yelp
Super cute little place! I would say the stir fry noodles look unassuming but are DELICIOUS. And have to recommend the bread with condensed milk for dessert. The owners are friendly and recognize frequent customers.

Yelp
Food is amazing, service is awesome! The sour and spicy beef noodle is 9 out 10 and I'll definitely come back and try other dishes!

Yelp
I have been to SASA's kitchen a few times over the years, and am generally happy with the food. The service have been fast and friendly, and the food came out pretty timely. The hot and spicy noodle was very tasty and the toppings were plentiful. The sweet potato noodles I had was cooked just right. My only complaint was that the pork intestine was a little overly salted (it was marinated and cooked prior to adding to the noodle). The lamb skewer was disappointing. First of all, it was not in skewer form. Secondly, it was clearly deep fried rather than grilled, which lamb skewer usually implied grilled lamb. And lastly, it was small and over cooked so it was very dry and chewy. But the seasoning mix was on point. I did not want to give it lower than 4 star because I had some pleasant experience here in the past, and definitely will come back. But I will try other appetizer and meat option for noddle next time.

Yelp
I love the food at this restaurant--it's definitely one of my top places to eat! My favorite dishes are the orange chicken, sesame seed chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. The orange chicken is the best I've had anywhere. The ramen is also quite good, adding to the variety of delicious options. My only wish is that they had more locations, so I could enjoy their food even more often. Overall, a fantastic spot that I highly recommend!

Yelp
My husband and I happened to be in the area, so we decided to try Sasa Kitchen. We had such a nice experience. They brought out watermelon as an amuse-bouche which was so nice on a hot day. The Diet Coke brew was actually amazing. So crisp and cold. For an appetizer we had the cheese wonton and they were some of the best I've ever had. Great cream cheese mix. I had the orange chicken combo meal. The orange chicken was delicious and super crispy. I loved it. The dumplings and egg soup were good but not great. My husband got the numbing spicy noodle soup with rice noodles and medium level spice. It was spicy and he enjoyed it but not as much as he enjoyed my orange chicken. All the food came out hot which we appreciate. The service was good and overall it was a really positive experience.

Yelp
I wish the ramen was a little more flavorful and maybe had a few more toppings. My husband didn't love how much egg was in the udon, but I liked it and that's more to do with his taste than the quality of the dish. I definitely would want to come back and try some other dishes, overall it was a good meal. I really liked the peach milkshake, it was not blended very smooth like you might expect from a milkshake, there were some pretty big chunks of ice, but I didn't mind that and I thought it tasted yummy!

Yelp
Great food in simple digs. I don't recall ever having shaved noodles before l, and I've been thinking about them ever since I tried them here! The fresh, handmade noodles were rich and delicious, the braised beef was super flavorful and slight carmilization on the edges complemented the noodles so well. Looking forward to going back and trying the drinks/teas/juices next time.

Yelp
This one of my favorite restaurants in SLC. I would go here every week if I could. The staff is amazing and the food is perfect.

Yelp
So happy i stopped by here after years of driving by! It's nestled by the anderson foothill library and has a private lot you can park in. The seating inside is a little cramped but luckily there were only two other parties there while we were. I will say i saw a lot of people stop in for pickup orders. The popcorn chicken was a slam dunk with tasty seasonings and perfectly proportioned pieces that were crunchy and flavorful. We both got the hot and spicy with beef, one with ramen and one with udon. The udon was chewy and perfect! I loved all the zucchini and carrots in my dish. The other dish, although it had the same base, did not have the same veggies but did have plenty of cabbage in it. The soups were not super spicy but temperature wise they are pretty hot so it took a few minutes to really enjoy it without burning my tongue. Overall i was really impressed and will be coming back!

Yelp
Best general taos and sweet and sour chicken we have ever had! My two year old has never slurped down miso soup so quick!

Yelp
Amazing amazing Chinese restaurant super duper authentic! Highly recommend the new items and noodles! Best taro milk tea (also the cheapest in town) Super friendly staff!!!

Yelp
The best Chinese food I've ever had in salt lake city. Recommend the noodles and beef.

Yelp
Visiting SLC from Cali and was really craving Chinese food. Because we are spoiled with diverse ethnic foods back home, we weren't expecting too much out of this place but wanted to try it anyway. I recommend the dry tossed noodles with shaved noodles and lamb. Reading the other reviews, people were raving about the milk tea here. The milk tea is good, but the boba balls are really hard! Actually, all the boba places I tried in SLC were hard, unfortunately. We also tried the Brown Sugar Milk tea, which was a good level of sweet! Both drinks came with popping boba, which we did not expect but tasted a lot better than the regular boba balls. The interior is really cute, and the service was fast. Still glad we decided to give SASA a try!

Yelp
This review is long overdue. We love this place. The manager/server is so sweet to our girls so the service is great. A lot of items are very original Chinese flavors. Very Sichuan or hunan spicy type flavors (they have some non spicy items too!) Sour and spicy sour cold noodle is very much like a cold Dan Dan noodle very peanut based with a fresh spicy little blast to it Hot and spicy soup with glass (sweet potato) noodles has some heat with some nicely braised beef pieces Pan fried udon noodles with some braised pork is very nice also this is our non spicy selection for our little one. Everything we have had here is quite tasty my personal fave is the spicy chicken gizzards that have some heat and Sichuan numbing peppers is a very original Chinese taste (on rice it it super great) We come after every trip to the natura history museum and it has become our must regular visited restaurant. Super cute super nice with some very original Chinese flavors compared to the very Americanized Chinese food that is commonplace in SLC Run to this place it is the best

Yelp
SASA is a very cute and hidden restaurant in Salt Lake. A friend and I went out to dinner and found it on Yelp when we were looking for Chinese food; everything on the menu looked so good, it was hard to decide what I wanted (I'll probably just go back to try different things). I ordered the mapo tofu and my friend ordered broccoli beef. The mapo tofu had szechwan that gave it a spicy flavor, but didn't make your mouth numb like it tends to do. It was really filling and it came with a side! The broccoli beef had a nice crisp to it, so even though it was soaking in a like of broth, it stayed crispy! It was wonderfully sweet and spicy. The server was very kind and helpful; she was very tentative. Overall, it was a lovely experience.

Yelp
I was in SLC with my granddaughters (age 5-12) and they demanded we go to SASA Kitchen. They said that their dad (my son) said SASA was of all Utah Chinese restaurants he'd tried, it wss the closest to actual Guangdong food. (Both he & I have been to Guangdong in China). The granddaughters loudly & insistently ordered orange chicken. We also got spicy sour cucumber, lamb hot pot, General Tso's chicken, and hot & sour soup. Afterwards the girls demanded boba drinks. The orange chicken was the best I've had. Very crispy despite the abundance of tasty sauce. The lamb hotpot was quite good and was reminiscent of the real deal in China. I loved the spicy sour cucumber which was even more authentic. The "wait staff" was a lone girl who immediately recognized my granddaughters, greeted them, and asked after their parents. She remembered what the kids liked and suggested dishes for us. She was super friendly and sweet. Service was not too fast, but with only one person manning both the front desk & acting as waitress, it's understandable. I will definitely return.

Yelp
This very cute restaurant offers some of the best Chinese noodle soups in SLC. The broths are very flavorful and the soup dishes themselves are jam packed with a bunch of additional veggies and fixings beyond just the noodles and protein of choice. The spicy level is accurately spicy - which I love- but if you don't like heat or spice I would not recommend getting anything that has spicy in the name. The cucumber salad also packs a delicious spice. The scallion pancake comes out in thinly prepared slices and pairs well with the chili oil. The potstickers are crispier and for me were more like gyoza (usually smaller than a potsticker and thinner skin crisps), but still tasty. What I loved most was the charm inside of this restaurant - kind of in the middle of nowhere and full of plants on the inside. It has a lot of natural light and a cozy atmosphere. It is also open on Sundays.

Yelp
Nice ambiance and good taste recommend shaved noodles And flower tea Also good spicy paste

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious. Came for a late lunch and was greeted kindly by the whole staff. They brought out my order (hot and spicy soup) right away. This place is my go to for Chinese food in Salt Lake City
google avatar

Yelp
They have Sichuan style foods that remind me when I studied abroad back in Chengdu, China. Service was great the host was really nice and helpful explaining what's in the menu.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this restaurant! I went around lunch time so they were pretty busy but the food came out quickly and we had amazing service. Great tasting broth in the soup. Their coconut milk smoothie is also so refreshing and perfect for a hot day!
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
Ordered the hot and spicy soup, which was amazing. The dish came with beef, tofu, egg, and noodles. It was spicy and hot like the dish was named. However, there was a tingly Sichuan spice that was numbing and completed the meal. The service was great. The server was attentive and offered to replace my wife's dish when she couldn't finish it. Overall, the food was good and near the museum, so it's great for a date!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm so glad that I was introduced to this hidden gem. It's been around for a few years but never stopped by until recently. It's a local restaurant that is owned by a family and they make authentic szechuan food (typically spicy dishes) but you can let them know your spice level. I loved their spicy wonton soup, spicy fried tofu and their dried spicy noodle dish - which they make in house. They also have a great selection of boba an teas to choose from. I will definitely be going back again to try it!

S Haoran H.

Yelp
So good, very tasty I thin that is the one of most traditional Chinese food compare to other place

Yelp
Best Ramen I've had! Probably the best orange chicken too! The broth in the rake was amazing! Along with with all the ingredients (I will say the pork my sins ramen was better than the beef, but my broth had some extra spice from the beef Erich I loved!) The orange chicken was everything I want in an orange chicken -- crispy, juicy meat, delicious sauce, great white rice! The staff was awesome and the service great and I likes the ramen bar/cafe feel! We will be returning SASA Kitchen!
google avatar

Jay G.

Yelp
In the neighborhood and saw SASA Kitchen. Never heard of this place before today and we were very much surprised how delicious the food was! The staff were very friendly and fun to talk with. First thing I noticed is that everyone wore masks and they provide hand sanitizer at each table. Everything felt clean. Service was very good too. Like I said before, everyone here is nice and pleasant to talk to. The food came out hot and was very delicious. We will be coming back and recommend to others! Spare Ribs Ramen is pictured.

Yelp
Having a hard time remembering this place, Yelp no longer puts timestamps on when pictures were uploaded. The food looks amazing that I uploaded but forgot almost everything else.
google avatar

Joanne V.

Yelp
Solid Chinese food! We came for lunch on a friday and there wasn't a wait at all. The food came out really quick and tasted great. I got the dry tossed shaved noodles and I really liked the flavor. The noodles were really chewy and there was a small amount of broth to keep the noodles moist. My husband got the hot and sour noodle soup and the Szechuan flavor was perfect. It had the right amount of spice and I really liked the peanut addition. Definitely will come back again!
google avatar

Shu G.

Yelp
Good meal. Very big portion and good flavors. Would definitely come back!! Popcorn chicken dipped in soup is delicious

Wing Ki Y.

Yelp
Authentic Chinese noodles. Their boba milk tea is definitely a surprise. A taste you can only find in Hong Kong and in SASA! Will definitely come back again for the food

Jim R.

Yelp
Had high expectations after the positive reviews. The food is good, not great. I'll probably try again as I may just have ordered wrong.

Dawn G.

Yelp
We were heading to Yellowstone and stopped by to find something that suits our Chinese appetite. We had two noodle soups and spicy chicken gizzard. All of them taste great and very Chinese indeed. Feels back home. And the service is good.

Norman C.

Yelp
The food here taste pretty tradition and delicious. Compare to other restaurants, this is a great place for Chinese people to go. The environment is clean and tidy to stay in. Stuff here are friendly and speak both English and Chinese well.

Yelp
Amazing night tonight at Sasa. The service and food are both amazing. Not to mention the small intimate seating was perfect for the occasion. Some key highlights: Service: the waitress overheard me mention loving brown sugar boba and how I forgot to order one, (this is mid meal way after we ordered) she then brought me one for free and said "just for the Lady"! She also did this for another table to make sure they felt they got good service as well. I made sure to tip her extra, you don't find this type of care in most places! It made me feel so special and cared for. Food: the boba was amazing! We also had scallion pancakes as an appetizer and the spicy tofu too. Sooooo good. The spice on the spicy tofu was perfect. I had the hot and spicy soup with beef and the wide noodles and it was amazing balz. Sooooo good once again the spice level was perfect and so flavorful. I am looking forward to next time as they also had little bakery items and so much more to try off the menu. Parking: it's a small place so make sure you get there early for a close spot and seating! Thanks for making my night Sasa!

Solomon D.

Yelp
This place is bomb. The food is great and seems very authentic. The employees are always very kind and helpful with the menu. For the food, I really like the pan fried noodles, the vegetables are super fresh. Although I recommend adding some spice as it comes fully mild. The hot and sour soup is also super interesting with the numbing pepper. Cool flavors so I'm definitely a fan. The mango smoothie is so unreal. Pairs so nice with the spicy food.
google avatar

Crystal S.

Yelp
Good food, the place is relatively quiet and not crowdy. Authentic food (mao cai -not very spicy).

Hayley N.

Yelp
My family and I love Sasa Kitchen, even my kids! The restaurant is clean, plenty of seating and the staff are friendly and kind. They often give my kids ice cream or a drink for free. We love the pan fried noodles, or any of the Udon noodles. And I know it's a little cliche but the orange chicken at Sasa Kitchen is SO good. We've done dine in and take out, both offer large portion sizes so we always have leftovers. 10/10 recommend.

Yelp
I love this place. The food is amazing, everyone who works here is so wonderful. Dry pot, dry tossed noodles, spicy beef, and Mayo tofu are some of my favorite items.
