Very beautiful plateau range. You can see many different types of animal species which cannot be found in the other places of india. In summer season, this area looks very harsh and tough, tree shed their leaves and most of the birds gone in migration.

Satpura Mountain RangeThe Satpura Range runs parallel to the Vindhya between the valleys of the Narmada graben in the north and that of the Tapi graben in the south. A graben is a valley with a distinct escarpment on each side caused by the displacement of a block of land downward. A graben often occurs side by side with horsts and together they are indication of tensional forces and crustal stretching. The Satpura Range is an example of a horst, which is a raised fault block bounded by normal faults. These two east-west ranges of the Satpura and Vindhyas divide the Indian Subcontinent into the Indo-Gangetic plain of northern India and the Deccan Plateau of the southern India. Stretch of the Satpura Mountain Range Standing at an elevation of 1,350 metres, the Satpura Range rises in eastern Gujarat and stretches for some 900 km across the widest part of peninsular India. It goes through the borders of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh to the east till Chhattisgarh. The Satpura Range is triangular in shape, with its apex at Ratnapuri and the other two sides are parallel to the Tapti and Narmada river valley. These two major rivers drain into the Arabian Sea. The Narmada River originates in eastern Madhya Pradesh and flows west across the state, through a narrow valley between the Vindhya Range and spurs of the Satpura Range. It then flows into the Gulf of Khambhat. The Tapti River follows a shorter, parallel course, between 80 to 160 km south of the Narmada, flowing through the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat to drain into the Gulf of Khambhat before meeting the Arabian Sea at Surat.
