We visited Satsuki while in Chamonix. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and full of flavor. The only exception was the shrimp tempura, which I didn’t enjoy—though I’m usually a big fan of shrimp. Other than that, everything was very good, and the prices are reasonable too!

Absolutely amazing. Delicious, flavourful and authentic Japanese food, kind, friendly and helpful staff and just 1-2mins walk from the very city centre. This place will never disappoint you. Reservation required!

Putting most important things at the first: 1 - Mondays off 2 - Reservation (by phone) recommended 3 - If you would like to try their sukiyaki (hotpot), please reserve one day in advance, and min 2 ppl per order for sukiyaki - I did come for their sukiyaki but in vain. But from how tasty their other meals are and from other customers' reactions, you could have no doubt about their sukiyaki. My friend and I ordered Set (me for Wakamesu + Sushi, and my friend went for seaweed+sashimi (come with a bowl of rice). I additonally had Udon. Every single one of them was AMAZING! I travel to Japan very often (6-10 times per year) and I can tell how authentic they are. The sake and beer are imported from Japan and of course quality is guaranteed.

Great spot. My udon was great 👏🏻 they take reservations, but we were walk-ins that were able to get sat pretty quick based on timing. My sister had the spicy tuna and enjoyed it. And they had onigiri, which can be difficult to find in a Japanese restaurant outside of Japan!

As a Hongkonger who like Japanese cuisine, I would say it’s excellent Japanese restaurant. The sashimi is great and fresh, and the side dishes are authentic.

Best Japanese restaurant in Chamonix! Don't waste your stomach at a different Japanese restaurant in Chamonix, Satsuki has a variety of menu - sushi, donburi, udon and more. I unfortunately forgot to take photos but here's a cute table mat they had!

Very authentic but reasonable Japanese restaurant. Don't waste your money somewhere else to have awful food but visit Satsuki. You won't be disappointed. Lunch set menu is wonderful. Highly recommended.

Google
The best Japanese restaurant I’ve been to in Europe! Went there three times and every time, we loved all the food. But recommend making a reservation if you are there in the busy seasons :)

Yelp
This was honestly one of the best Japanese restaurants we visited in Europe. And the price made it so worth it! We got the set meals which comes with an appetizer and a bowl of rice along with your entree. It was basically €5 for an appetizer size amount of salmon sashimi. And idk where they got this fish from but it was honestly one of the best salmon sashimis I've ever had, the fish was so tender! The katsu was also super delicious! It was so crispy, yet the meat was still juicy. And it wasn't too heavy with the salad alongside it. The yakitori was okay in my opinion, I kind of wish the meat was more seasoned. The ebidon was also delicious and the broth was perfect for putting in the rice. The desserts were also great. The strawberry ice cream was addicting, and the hot dorayaki paired with the matcha ice cream was delicious. We wanted to come back, honestly mainly for the sashimi, but we ended up not doing it because we wanted to try other places out. But this was one of the highlights of our trip!

Yelp
This Japanese restaurant is almost at the end of Chamonixs retail and restaurants. It was very good. Their spicy tuna hand roll was one of the best I've ever had. And I've had many from the best in Southern California. Had a tuna roll, miso soup, and some tempura shrimp and vegetables with my wife. Chamonix is awe inspiring.

Yelp
Surprisingly good Japanese restaurant at the edge of Chamonix. The waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating despite a last minute walk-in 45 min before closing, and spoke fluent English, Japanese, and French. The sushi and sashimi were both unexpectedly fresh and tasty even by coastal city standards, and the steak with rice was perfectly cooked.

Yelp
Great service and amazing SuKiyaki. A friend of mine and I went here after a whole day of hiking. It was cold and windy so we opted for Sukiyaki, the Japanese hot pot which had many kinds of veggies and beef. We managed to finish everything including the last spoon of soup. Truly terrific to warm the body up in a freezing winter evening. Just lovely :)

Yelp
Probably the best sushi in all of France, served up by some of the nicest Japanese people remaining in the industry. Don't be fooled by all the "Chushi" joints, sprouting up like mushrooms across Europe. Those places serve up insipid, inferior quality fish at high prices to people who just don't know any better. The second best part of the meal, is going for an after dinner stroll in beautiful Chamonix.

Yelp
I had lunch and dinner here last May. This is probably the only Japanese restaurant in Chamonix, and this is all you need! For lunch, they only served their lunch menu set. The salmon rice was really good. Dinner menu has more variety. If you're tired of the tasteless french food, take this pleasant break and have a meal (or two or three!) here!

Yelp
My highest praise for this super authentic Japanese restaurant. I feel at home with high quality of food preparation, presentation, and most of all taste. Give this palace 10 stars if I could.

Yelp
'Really delicious and authentic Japanese sushi, soups, noodles and salads. Nice staff and seemingly good reputation with locals and visitors - it was always busy. I ate there three days in a row!

Yelp
friendly family run Japanese restaurant offering a tasty range of Sushi, Sashimi, Tempura, Tonkatsu, and more. its not big but is sure tasty and we love it when we're in Chamonix for skiing. Its right in the town centre, and easy to find but its popularity means that it gets busy at those obvious times and so its always wise to book if you don't want to be dissappointed. Its a great place for veggies but our faves are the noodles ans the sushi. Enjoy

Yelp
Delicious - great sushi and really friendly staff. Also a nice break from the cheese + carb combos in most other restaurants in Chamonix (fondue, tartiflette, pizza, paninis.....)!!! Reservation recommended.
