Sauðárkrókur Campground

Clean bathrooms and showers. Hot water. Level grass to park or pitch tent. Payment process works best to wait for friendly attendant to knock on your door and run your card on his card reader. No App to pay. We paid with cash in honor box. Worked fine. Small family-run campground right in town.

It’s a good campsite with clean bathrooms and showers. But wifi they say was not working. So if you are expecting wifi service, do not come here.

Pulled up the stay the night but after seeing the campground and amenities/price for the amenities- decided on driving to the next one that had more for less. Price:2200isk per person, 2000 if staying another night Amenities: clean bathrooms with shower, children’s pillow jumper, Nextdoor to a local swimming pool facilities Biggest issue we saw was the lack of common space/ kitchen and the price not resulting in that. This is by far the most expensive we’ve seen! Yesterday we stayed at a campground that included a huge common space and stacked kitchen, indoor swimming pool, 4 warm showers and toilets all for just 2000isk per night.

Great campsite, quite affordable (1,750 ISK per person for the first night, 1,550 for subsequent nights), they also offer discounts if you stay in other campsites of the same "network". Well equipped, everything was clean. The shower was spacious and nice, although there was only one. There is a washing machine and dryer as well.

30.05 2023 Good campground but only grass. In rainy days not ideal. We stayed besides the washroom on gravel and the host who collected the payment even helped us with electricity. Try the Hard Wok Cafe. Nice little town

Finally a place for us to dump our grey water! The place looks pretty good and has everything including a washer/dryer. It only misses a hose for us to fill our water up again but a lot of places have that so not to bad.

Extremely central campsite, but with limited facilities. Saudarkrokur is a great town with a great bakery and lots of grocery stores and restaurants. The camp is located in the middle of town, all spots are on the grass (that is leveled). Limited, but clean facilities. No kitchen, but unlimited hot showers included. Paid 3500 ISK for a camper van and two people.

Nice campsite with very clean bathrooms and shower. There are sinks outside and even a washing machine and dryer available. We had a very good night and the owners are super friendly and helpful :)
