A group of friends and I had such a great time here! It’s an absolutely beautiful and spacious venue. The outdoor seating is expensive with multiple areas and fire pits. The views are gorgeous. The wine is lovely. I really appreciated the process they have for their wine flights. It’s is very easy to pick which one you want without being bombarded with too many choices. When you receive them, they are generous pours and are clearly labeled. They have a small bites menu but there was also a food truck there, plus live music in the outside patio. I will definitely be back!

We had a nice afternoon here listening to music and enjoying the wine. The Scottish Pig food truck was setup and putting out tasty food. Definitely will be back!

Headed down New Kent Highway we saw the sign and explored and what a prize we found! Beautiful place with delicious wines. Amazing find!

Google
A wonderful spot to spend the day! Relax with a glass of wine, enjoy fantastic live music, and take in the beautiful venue. The staff is warm and welcoming, and you're even allowed to bring your own food for a picnic. Highly recommend for a laid-back and enjoyable outing.

Went here on a friday with 2 of my friends! We had a really nice time! The place was pretty crowded for 3pm and all the wines were very enjoyable! The atmosphere is great, everyone seems to be very happy and friendly here including the lady who helped us at the bar! The flowers in the back are also an amazing place to take pictures!

First off, the wines are pretty good for an east Coast winery, specifically the white wines (since I did not have time to try the reds). However, they treated me as if I did not want to try anything or knew nothing about wine. I did not even get an introduction to the wines in my tasting (which I payed for with no introductory tastings which I expect from a winery), nor did I get a sheet of paper about each wine I had ordered. Meanwhile, they were offering free taste tests of other wines to older guests as well as telling them stories of how the wines came to be without any charge. The only positive was the fantastic live music, and they offer a military discount on their bottles of wine. They need more engaging and positive staff to everyone regardless of age; you should never judge your guests, especially if they are willing to try your wines in the rain.

Google
Suade Creek is a beautiful spot—I came for my sister’s birthday and loved the atmosphere and wine slushees. That said, Kasey was a major damper on the visit. From the moment we arrived, her attitude, body language, and tone were rude and uninviting. I’m always the first person to acknowledge that everyone has bad days, but if you can’t leave that at the door, customer service may not be the right fit. It’s disappointing that while the rest of the staff was warm and welcoming, one person’s bad attitude completely soured the experience and misrepresented the team.

Google
I highly recommend this winery. The facilities are spectacular; indoor and especially outdoor. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly, of course, they make good wine. Try the 1791 and the Barrel 76.

Yelp
S E R V I C E The lady's at the inside counter were so sweet and kind! They took the time to explain the wine flight list to us, and told us which meats/cheeses/crackers would pair nicely with our choices. V A R I E T Y Their wine list is awesome! They literally have something for everyone! And the fact that they had snacks to choose from?! AMAZING!! Large variation of seating! They have a ramp and a staircase so the main building is accessible for all!!

Yelp
We meet our nieces here for a lunch on Sunday. There is plenty of parking and they had a food truck on the day we were there. They also let you bring some food with you, which is what we did. They have a nice selection of wine and the person at the counter was very nice and helpful. The views are pretty and the music that was there that day was not overly loud. We had a really good time here.

Yelp
Saude Creek is a wonderful relaxing winery with great views. The wine options had a lot of variety. There's something for everyone. On weekends and busier times I recommend getting there early as seating can be at a premium. The servers are wonderful but their service only extends to the bar where you order drinks. There are some overpriced snack options or you can bring your own cooler. There are wine slushies available and if you purchase a tumbler you get a discount on refills and you can bring it back for additional discounts. There's a super friendly black cat, and often times live music. A great little spot out in the country.

Yelp
Amazing foods of all different variants, everyone was so kind and the entire vineyard was peaceful it eliminated any negative energy! I have been many times and I will be back highly recommend 10/10!

Yelp
This vineyard is a large scale experience, welcoming large groups and families on a vast property with picture perfect views of the region and spectacular landscaping. The outdoor seating is endless, and includes shade umbrellas, fire pits, and covered areas. There are also places on the property for large group events and celebrations. There are some outdoor spaces that can be reserved. The wines are tasty and the staff is super friendly. The wine list offers choices for every palate. Stay awhile and enjoy a glass or bottle of your new favorite wine. You are welcome to bring your own food/appetizers. Children and pets are welcome. I met a three month old baby boy, an adorable senior Boston Terrier and black lab puppy on my visit.

Yelp
I love simply love the layout of Saude creek. You can enjoy indoor seating either upstairs or downstairs. I typically sit outside due to coming with a fairly large group. The vineyard allows you to bring in your food which is a great perk. There is a good truck on site if don't bring in town food. I enjoy the variety of wines and they are reasonably priced. I simply love this place and usually visit 3 to 4 times during year. Great outdoor scenery as well!!

Yelp
Beautiful landscaping. Lovely place to visit. Wines are fine. There was a food truck that was nice.

Yelp
Absolutely love my overall experience here. One of the better one tasting experiences in the area, saude creek has excellent customer service and great wines to explore. Staff was super knowledgeable and friendly - very astute wine experts and were patient when we had to go get our food from outside. Wines: they have more of the lighter wines, nice light reds, well-rounded whites, and some good reds. My favorite wine there is the Saude Creek Red Blend. It is the perfect wine for anytime of the evening + you won't feel bad if you drink it during the day, doing chores or watching the kids . Food: YEARS ago, they had a bbq vendor inside their tasting room. Post-pandemic, the bbq vendor has a truck outside! A MUST is the brisket. They have nachos, hotdogs, fries - all made with different flavorful bbq meats. Make sure you get the brisket bbq sauce. Venue: it's very spacious inside and out with very warm details. The scenery is very green and has lots of hills. If you're lucky, they have live performances on the weekends. I first started started coming here years ago and the top-tier experience hasn't changed. This should definitely be on your list of wineries to try if you close by.

Yelp
Saudé Creek has been a vineyard that I've wanted to visit for months so I was very happy that we finally had the chance to stop in. I've never seen actual grape vine trellises in person so I was blown away with how beautiful they were. The vineyard and landscaping was absolutely breathtaking. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and even though it was pretty busy, we were able to start a wine tasting immediately. The wine tasting was very reasonably priced ($18). As we were tasting each wine, I mentioned that they all tasted like a bit of sunshine since they all seemed so light and refreshing. I'm not the biggest fan of dry wines but even those were crisp, fruity and delicious and not bitter at all. Since we were just stopping by for a quick wine tasting, we didn't get a chance to sit and enjoy the beautiful vineyard but we are already planning to go back very soon. One of my favorite perks of the vineyard is the fact that they allow people to bring outside food to the property while also offering the option to purchase small bites. I saw many people enjoying charcuterie boards with their wine which is the perfect combination in my opinion. There are also food trucks on the property as well which is very convenient if people don't want to bring food themselves. Definitely a perfect place for all occasions! I can't wait to return!

Yelp
A beautiful setting. We sat inside today due to the cold weather. Usually we enjoy the porch which has an amazing view. It's really nice to listen to music and enjoy their tasty wines. We usually bring a picnic. On weekends they have a food truck which is nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had Charlie's Chardonnay which was good. Beautiful label!!

Yelp
Great variety of wine options even for super sweet drinkers! We were looking forward to trying the muscadine but it was really available, at least for flights. Regardless, there was one particular white - Tavern White - that was my wife's favorite. We also tried the Big Eazy, Sweet Rebellion, Red and Early Dawn. I can't recall for all those reds we liked next best though. Came in a Saturday and *throughly* enjoyed the musician - he played quite the variety for anyone from their late 30s to 60s to enjoy! He was outside and they did at least have heater lamps around but for Feb it was still fairly cool, even with the patio plastic/vinyl walls to insulate a bit. That outdoor space sure was needed; all space inside was filled! I suspect though for warmer days, there would be more space outside....but not this time of year. It was not clear but I *think* there may have been some sort of view of the Pamunkey River, but from our seating it seemed a fair distance away; who knows maybe they have walkways all the way out and seating there? I believe they did offer some sort of food options indoors, but I know for sure they had a food truck (BBQ, brisket, nachos, fries, etc). Really great options! We came out for a little two day outing pre-Valentine's day at a nearby B&B in New Kent and this was a great recommendation!

Yelp
Stopped by here while we were out for a weekend getaway and we loved this place! Their wine is quite good, and their prices are even better! They have a really cute outdoor space, and while we were there they had a live band. The woman who gave us our tasting was pleasant, although a little long-winded. We ended up taking home 6 bottles! If we find ourselves in that neck of the woods again we will definitely stop back in!

Yelp
Saude Creek Vineyards offers great wines, great views, and great hospitality. We have visited Saude Creek three times. The first time was on a weekend, and we ordered food from the Scottish Pig food truck, which was delicious, while we listened to live music and enjoyed wine flights. The second time I went with some friends for a paint and sip class in their loft. The third time we visited during the week and brought our own picnic of chicken, veggies, cheeses, and treats. Each time we order a wine flight, we each order different wines and share the tastings. The pours are generous enough to share. Seating is inside on two levels, as well as outside on the porch, decks, or in the back yard. They also have a separate event space.

Yelp
A gorgeous tasting room with a deck, beautiful views, gorgeous locale, and wine that will really impress! That's Saude Creek! My favorites are their Vidal Blanc and their Sweet Rebellion Chambourcin! Vidal Blan is an understated wine but does very well in Virginia as it exhibits a fine floral aroma and crisp summer fruits on the palate. Their Sweet Rebellion Chambourcin is really the finest in the state of Virginia with its depth, complexity, and strength of medium bodied flavor that leaves a nice lasting aftertaste until your next sip. I at least buy half a case of their wine every time I stop in.

Yelp
Saude Creek is a little slice of heaven on Earth. The location is absolutely beautiful! There are tons of different wines to try from dry to sweet. They also have wine slushies! Perfect for summer. The staff was wonderful, specifically Casey. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy overlooking the scenery!

Yelp
As a local this is my favorite winery to go to. I love the workers here, they will have food/ food trucks every once in a while which is awesome, but I love that fact that we can bring our own food and basically have a picnic ! Plus the location is beautiful and the winery itself for when you're trying to relax and have a nice time with friends or family!

Yelp
I have heard of this place but never been. Pulling out the parking lot was absolutely crazy packed but the view was amazing. Inside it was hacked and there was someone singing outside on the outdoor patio. There was a Barbecue Company set up inside that you could purchase food from. The bar for a tasting was packed, honestly the entire place was packed. The inside, the outside, the bar to get a glass of wine, on the tables... My friend and I enjoy the tasting. It was okay, most of them I did not like. This was my first wine tasting though. After we left the swinery, when we went to another Winery we were able to get a sampler of their Suites or they're dry. I have found some more on the sweet side so maybe if there was a different option for a sampler of times that I would be more partial to it would have been more enjoyable but I'm not a wine person so it was information overload. Ha ha I would definitely pick my favorite wine, pack some snacks, and come out there for a picnic for the view because it was absolutely beautiful

Yelp
Covid precautions taken..... We arrived closer to closing than desired due to traffic However was nice enough to allow us to do the tasting anyway. The wine was rather on the dry side.... we left with the Sangria thou! I am not a animal person so I rather enjoy food and drinks without a cat rubbing around my ankles.

Yelp
Amazing winery! It may not be the biggest in the area, but the views are spectacular!!! A must visit winery in Virginia. I have been here once before last year on a Monday pre-COVID and wanted to revisit to taste the wine flights. Tons of spots to sit and enjoy the view. We ate food from the food truck and sat outside. We did go into the building to order our wine and also enjoyed the view on both balconies. I noticed others that had brought their pets and picnic baskets, so it's definitely family friendly and perfect for a cheese, cracker, meat charcuterie even if you bring your own.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is wonderful! Great wine, ambience is beautiful and the staff (Pam) are delightful!!!

Yelp
It was a beautiful day for an oyster roast at Saude Creek! They have a beautiful property and plenty of outdoor seating that accommodates leashed dogs. They also had a couple of food trucks on-site with a variety of offerings. We had the Sauvignon Blanc with our smoked oysters from the Rogue Oyster company - it paired nicely. Will return to try their reds soon.

Yelp
I chose this winery because I wanted to make sure there was a place that had a fire pit as the weather is much cooler now. It was pretty easy to find off the highway which I appreciated. Once arriving in the tasting room you can place your order and then take it outside to the back patios or there was some seating outside. Obviously we went outside because what would be the reason to come to the winery if you cant sit outside. There were quite a few people but the tables were spaced out appropriately for social distancing. The knats were very annoying but I guess there isnt much you can do for outside. However if there is something they can do I would hope they would look into it. The wine flights were tasty. I tried the red wine flight. Afterwards we bought a bottle and also tried the sangria. The sangria was very tasty. As the sun began to set we tried to sit next to the heaters but it doesnt appear that there was any propane because the fire didnt kept going out. We then moved to the fire pit. It was very nice but due to the fact everyone was trying to be close to it, it was not conducive to social distancing. All in all it was a great time and I will definitely return.

Yelp
Sadie Creek Vineyards in a must stop if I'm the area. They offer wine tasting for $18 and allow for outside food to be brought onto the property for enjoyment. We came for the charcuterie class and it was outstanding. The Mrs and I enjoyed strolling the property afterwards enjoying our wine slushee.

Yelp
Saude Creek Vineyard is one of my favorite wineries in the area! My friend and I use Sauce Creek Vineyard as a meet up point half way between our homes and head there about once every other month. I have tried most of their wines at this point, my favorites being the Sauvignon, Riesling, and Viogner. I leave each time with several bottles to enjoy later on or share with family and friends. I highly recommend stopping by to anyone in the area! I will certainly be back soon!
google avatar

Yelp
A beautiful winery with exquisite gardens in the front. As you go around back you see a beautiful overlook at the Pamunkey River. The wines are great Virginia wines that don't disappoint. Ben greeted us and made us feel immediately at home and welcome. Great places to sit outside.
google avatar

Elisha C.

Yelp
This has become one of our favorite places. Netti our server was so sweet and offered great recommendations. She greeted us with a warm welcome and made us feel right at home. We visited on a cold December day and enjoyed the fireplace and live music. The Scottish pig food truck is always a yummy treat. Another 10/10 experience.

Lexi J.

Yelp
I had a great time visiting! We went on a Sunday, and it was not crowded. Both indoor and outdoor seating were available, we opted to sit out. They do have warmers to keep you nice and toasty. The wine we had was delicious, not too sweet. We also had food, which is provide by The Scottish Pig on most Friday nights, Saturday's, and Sunday's. The food was ok, but you are able to bring your own picnic which I will definitely do next time I go. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Cathy N.

Yelp
the winery is absolutely beautiful first of all. The atmosphere is great, has live music and lots of seating options. The staff is great and willing to help with anything you need as well as being exceptionally pleasant. the wine is also very good considering I'm not much of a wine drinker but I did find one I really like. we will definitely return when out that way!

Amanda W.

Yelp
Great wine! The people are so kind and wonderful. The sweet owner even looked for Mr. Saude for me. I love coming here when I'm in town! Update: the owner literally brought me Mr. Saude. I would give this place 10 stars if I could!!
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
What a beautiful setting for wine! The tasting room and grounds of the winery are fantastic, complete with a resident black cat (my favorite!!!). There are two tasting options. A $10 and a $17. The more expensive one gives you all the wines of the $10 and a couple more. The additional wines are significantly better than the $10 tasting, so if you're in the mood for good wine, splurge. You get to keep the glass too:) You are allowed to bring food to the winery, but you have to eat it outside. There is a "no outside food IN the winery" policy. Sounds like that may be a change based on their website. They have a BBQ guy on site and some small snacks for purchase as well. The staff is very knowledgeable and can tell you a significant amount about both the winery and the wines. There are a number of staff and volunteers on the weekend and someone greets you at the door and finds a spot for you at the tasting bar. It was great to not have to try to squeeze yourselves into a "maybe" available pourer. You're never know where they are on a wine list with another tasting. I loved that aspect of this place! If it's not something they regularly do, it was a nice treat and something they should continue. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that they don't provide you with a way to keep your wine chilled while sipping and hanging out. On a hot day, you'll have to drink fast! Scenery is amazing and they have a TON of room for people to hang out. We'll definitely be back in the fall for the view of the foliage!

Yelp
We recently held our daughter's Bat Mitzvah in Arris Hall at this Vineyard. Our event coordinator, Karen, was absolutely incredible. I can't say enough about her willingness to help with every detail. She also kept me and my daughter at ease when our caterer was 45 minutes late!! I would recommend this establishment for any formal/semi-formal event that you may be needing a venue for. Beautiful and very nice family feel. Karen, if you see this....our whole family knows that you are amazing!!! Your daughter was also a gift of kindness and service to our family for this mile-marker party. Thank you so very much!!!!

Yelp
My husband and I were traveling to Virginia Beach and we were searching the area for local vineyards and we were very excited to have stumbled upon Saude Creek! The wine tasting was great, the grounds were phenomenal and the building itself was lovely. They had a cat inside that was just lounging out on the leather sofa enjoying life. What a cutie! We wished we lived closer to this winery because it would definitely be one of our go to places!

Louise C.

Yelp
Decided to try this while on vacation. Was pleasantly surprised to find good wines and such a pleasant ambiance. Unfortunately they don't ship out of state. Would definitely order from them if they did.
google avatar

Moon H.

Yelp
The entire property is very beautiful and more importantly dog-friendly. We brought our own picnic food and had a very good time here in a late summer day of September. If you are visiting here with friends and family, you will love it here. If you are more serious about wine or wine tasting, first of all, don't expect too much for Virginia wine. Do yourself a favor, avoid the rose as far as you can.
google avatar

Valeri S.

Yelp
What an amazing place to come and celebrate. Anything really. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The vineyard view and band where great. I can't wait to go back when the vine are flourishing

Yelp
I had a wonderful time here. The employees were extremely nice and helpful. They were very knowledgeable about the different wines. The property is very well kept! So beautiful! I can not wait to come back!

Yelp
Visited with a friend during a trip to Norfolk. The tasting room gives Saude a very rustic feel, although at 20 acres of vines/6000 cases a year they aren't as tiny as you'd expect. We did the regular tasting, although a more sophisticated tasting/tour option is also available. Saude has a fairly expansive tasting menu, although during my visit I was only able to try only 8 of them. Overall a nice stop, although no particular wine blew me away. Whites: The Pamunky Fall Chardonnay/Chardonnel white blend; steel fermented but somehow still a little creamy. The Vidal Blanc was a little sweeter, while the Reisling was off-dry and quite nice. The Tavern White blend had notes of peach. Reds: The 2014 Merlot was unusually light, with some plumb and (my opinion) a little tobacco. The Chambourcin/Touriga Red Creek Red had strong berry notes, but those notes disappear when paired with a tiny BBQ sampling. The "Sweet Rebellion" was too sweet for me, but the Tavern Red "Christmas in a bottle" mulled was really good. Other notes; this place has a thing for BBQ! They had someone come in to sell plates & sandwiches. Had I not been in a rush to get to Norfolk I may have stayed longer to enjoy the place.

Stuart K.

Yelp
Such a great place to relax with friends and family while drinking some of the best regional wines I've tried. My favorite wines SCV offers are the Pinot Noir, Traminette, Pearl and 1791. Squires Blend is my favorite sweet wine (very unique muscadine wine). The property is just magnificent. Very nice hill views of the Pamunkey River and surrounding forests. Great music on the weekends. During the week it's much calmer and relaxing. Lovely staff. Mr. Saude the cat is a wonderful host. My kids love this place!

Yelp
Based on the reviews I read from Yelp, I decided to surprise my wife and try out Saude Creek Vineyards today. The facility, grounds and views right off the bat were excellent. The inside of the building is clean, roomy and relaxing. The covered seating area outside was also roomy and while open, was situated in a way that you could have a conversation without raising your voice, even when the entertainer of the day was playing his guitar and singing. We both had the classic tasting which consisted of 8 wines. The tasting area when we went had a Bacherolette Party that just arrived ahead of us, as well as a full group of others at the square area that looked like it could accommodate maybe 20 people or so. The 3 ladies at the time serving were all very good and fun. They got us going rather quickly. A couple next to us happen to live in Burke VA where we moved from about a year earlier, so we hit it off well with them. And the very classy guy across the other side with the Red Sox hot was a big plus (go Sox!). My wife prefers white, sweeter wines and the first half of the tasting made her happy. The Pawmunkey was great. The Pearl was really good, we both loved it and picked up a bottle. The Virginia Red was also exceptional. After the tasting we grabbed our bottle of Pearl and some BBQ from the vendor set up inside the facility and went outside to relax. The views are beautiful. You can see the Pawmunkey River in the distance and are situated atop a mountain (who knew? ;) Looking down you can see rows of rolling vines. The flowers and landscaping are top notch. Truly looked liked a page out of a botanical garden or the DuPont Estate. We truly look forward to going back the Saude Creek Vineyards and next time will be along some family and/or friends to enjoy with us. Meanwhile, we will be enjoying our bottle of Pearl. Cheers!

Yelp
As you approach this winery, it is absolutely breathtaking! We were greeted by a lovely bar tinder who served us aa wonderful premium wIne tasting. If you thought the front was beautiful the back porch area and seating in the back is even more breathtaking! Perfect for any instagram photos!!! Our group had a blast! The music was great and they had a food truck on site!

Yelp
Enjoyed a warm afternoon sipping slushees and cold wine while safely social distancing! The winery was well prepared and organized while reopening after temporary closure. Thank you for giving us back a sense of normalcy during this time!

Yelp
Visited the winery for the third time. It was very busy this time but the service was still excellent. The wine tasting menu is informative to find the perfect wine for you. Highly recommend the Vidal Blanc and Merlot.

Yelp
I had a great time visiting Saudé Creek Vineyards with my mom and college bestie this was the perfect place to wine down (pun intended) from a busy last semester of undergrad right before May graduation. It's location is the perfect place to meet up if you're traveling from Richmond or the 757 area. What I loved most about this experience as it was only my second wine tasting experience is that it seemed more calm less rushed. The tasting for classic was $10 and premium was $17. This is a nice place to host a birthday party, wedding ceremony, etc. The balcony is a nice added touch to this lovely venue as well as the outdoor patio area which would be a nice place to host a picnic. They have a nice gazebo overlooking quite a view! Also on the patio is cornhole for all you lovers out there of this activity. I must say my experience here was nothing less than a good time. I'm sure I'll be back again soon! Definitely recommend trying them out if you're looking for a nice winery!
google avatar

Cara M.

Yelp
I'm not sure how I haven't reviewed Saude Creek yet! I've been here a handful of times, and been lucky enough to enjoy their patio each visit. I am not a HUGE fan of their wines, and even though I'm a red girl through and through, I prefer their dry whites. The setting here is beautiful, and it's dog friendly. It's a great place to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, and I love when they have live music.
google avatar

Yelp
This winery is a must see! The view is gorgeous! And this wine is very nice as well. I can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
We have visited this Winery several times .. it has a great selection of wine with a beautiful outside patio area . Enjoy the views listen to music and have some good wine! One of our favorite spots

Yelp
Saude Creek is one of my favorite vineyards! Today we flipped a coin and decided to go east. I frequent New Kent wineries and I love the country feel. Saude offers a premium and regular wine tasting package. The regular package cost 10bux and you get to keep the tasting glass as a souvenir(Winning). I enjoyed every wine from the off dry Riesling to the Red Blend. A major perk is that they have an onsite catering company called the Scottish pig and the food is Delicious! The fresh pork and slaw are a perfect touch to the sultry wines they offer. who would of thought that pigs and wine go well together. The vineyard is absolutely gorgeous. I love the aerial view of the vines and huge porch. It's a perfect place to sit and wind down after a long work week. They also have live bands on the weekend. If you are looking for a secluded place to chill and let your hair down, Saude Creek is the place for you!
