LOVE this place. Enjoy a CBD bevy & do the cold plunge. I always leave feeling so relaxed and refreshed. Sauna House is clean, aesthetically pleasing & fun. Upgrades since Helene are great. Visiting family and friends I’ve brought in previously always want to return.

Google
We were In Asheville for the day and looking for something relaxing…well Sauna House delivered! Affordable price, calming atmosphere, hot saunas, cold plunges, warming chairs in the resting area, and barely audible (as it should be) ambient music. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We loved the experience and will return.

Grace B.

Google
Sauna Haus is amazing & constantly improving even after I think they’ve already set the bar! It’s peaceful, nourishing, relaxing, clean, and rejuvenating. I love the quiet downstairs, the vibe of the space, the drinks, the saunas, the cold plunges, and the warm benches. Even their soaps and shampoo smell divine! They have everything you need and more for a 2hr retreat to decompress. 💖💖💖💖

Google
Super neat place and super affordable for the service, comfort, and experience provided. They were undergoing a software change during my visit but Phil was very friendly and professional. He gave me a nice tour and made me feel very welcome despite this being a totally new experience. Only feedback I have is a little more light in dressing rooms and another ice bath downstairs. They only have 1 upstairs that can accommodate maybe 3 regular sized humans. I look forward to going again and seeing more locations. You will feel amazing after less than a 1 hour visit here. Beautiful space and love all the plants. Nice job guys!!!! 😜

Google
This was our first time at the Sauna House. What a great find! Enjoyed our full 2 hours of rotations in the sauna, cold plunge and relaxing in the heated chairs. Very clean and inviting. Private changing areas and showers. We will be back on our next visit to Asheville!

Google
My 1st visit. It was wonderful! The facility was beautifully laid out, the interior design was simple, unfussy. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The environment was perfect for relaxing, calming, and quiet conversations. Many thanks, and I'll be back :-)

Chris M.

Google
Sauna and space are great it’s the noise that made it less than ideal. Upstairs people laughing and carrying on really loud most of time I was there. Echoing around the big ceilings. . What’s worse is the downstairs is supposed to be a silent zone but people were down there talking loud, laughing. Little zen to be found. Disappointing. Was over a 30 min period downstairs. They clearly are not enforicing and surely not imparting to be quiet.

Google
This is my new favorite thing to do with friends instead of going to dinner. It is healthy, invigorating, and I feel way better afterwards than if I had gone out for the evening drinking. And this particular place has a wonderful staff, not at all intimidating if you’ve never done it, and super clean and all the things you would want a sauna house to be.
google avatar

Danielle O.

Yelp
They got rid of the quiet area downstairs. I imagine they did so to make more space more people to fit into the space in an effort to make more money. A tragic loss of an escape in a very noisy world. Nothing good ever lasts.

Yelp
Happy with the changes they've made post hurricane helene! My husband and I visit here once a month.

Yelp
I was a loyal customer of Sauna House for years, appreciating the unique space Andrew had created. However, the quality declined over time, with issues like dirty water, visible mold, and a shift in clientele. The final straw was the incredibly rude way my membership was terminated without any direct communication from the owner himself. I was suddenly banned via a phone call from a regional manager (I had never met) in the middle of a very stressful shift as a first responder, and threatened with trespassing charges if I returned. No other communication has been offered except a new employee informed me there were "lots of" petty notes on my account about minor infractions like staying 5 minutes late counting my shower from the last time I attended. (" she was shocked that I had not been spoken to about it.") . All interactions up until that point had been positive with all the employees. I have since learned I'm not alone in this experience. Multiple long-time members and employees were fired or banned for questioning Andrew's practices. In fact, their front page before you've ever gone there includes the right to ban people for any reason at any time. My wife, who is Puerto Rican, always felt very uncomfortable when she came there and fell on slippery floors downstairs. In my experience, the atmosphere was far from inclusive, despite the business's marketing. Andrew didn't even apologize or offer any empathy to my attempts to discuss the situation in a diplomatic manner. In summary, while Sauna House markets itself as a haven, the unprofessional management, discriminatory practices, and poor communication from leadership show the true colors of this business. I cannot recommend supporting an establishment that treats loyal customers and employees so disrespectfully.

Yelp
I have enjoyed Sauna House for many years now. It's beautiful and relaxing. I now that they have to go by NC standards of public safety for the cold plunge, but for such a small plunge the entire facility smells like chlorine. I almost passed out in the water last time I was there after staying in for 3 minutes due to the harsh chemical smell. My throat and nose burned for 15 minutes. I don't think this is safe for anyone to be breathing in. Totally recommend people using to shower off after cold plunge with soap due to the sticky nature of Bromine.

Yelp
The sauna house rocks it. If you like a cold plunge, a sauna and some relaxation, this place is a dream. I love the cbd drinks they have available and the modern design. It's a total vibe. You can even get a private room if you'd like to have a private experience

Marie L.

Yelp
This place looked promising as I walked in but the experience was not only underwhelming, but also somewhat aggravating. First there are no private changing rooms upstairs and it's a co-ed facility. You have to either change in a wet shower or a bathroom, and there aren't enough of those. You can however, change downstairs and come back up. Also you can't lock the lockers. And there is only 1 plunge pool for both floors so if you're doing the sauna downstairs, you have to run up the slippery wet stairs to do the cold plunge upstairs. And it's dirty. The water is murky and gross. There are no amenities such as shampoo or q-tips (come on guys those things are cheap) and for the price, it warrants having some basics. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. It could be so much more.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! You need to come try!! Changed my life for the better it's something I can't go without now that I've experienced. Tremendous for my stress and helps me relax !

Olivia M.

Yelp
Great experience! My massage was amazing ! Jenny did a wonderful job . This was definitely something different to do while visiting Asheville. The cold plunge is not for the weak ( deep breaths lol). Staff was knowledgeable and very attentive to customers and their needs . People are not wearing mask so if that is a concern , this will not be the time to go . Otherwise facility is clean ( but could use better drainage of shower water downstairs). Would return most definitely

H M.

Yelp
If I could give it a lower rating I would. The recent reviews for the business are on a downtrend for a reason! The staff and the overall facility seems careless and lackluster at best. The cold plunge water is literally GREEN and I know of one person that got an infection from going in there. I selected the "1hour hot lap option" and stayed 15 minutes overtime in the building as I was showering to leave and they charge me for 2 full hours when I checked out.... sad! The people that work there are more focused on gossiping and flirting with customers than actually maintaining the space. There's way better, less woke options out there.

Yelp
My wife and I tried this place the other day and were completely blown away! The exterior is a gorgeous work of modern art, and is quite unlike anything else in our fair city. Upon opening the door, we were met with beautiful, relaxing piano music and an equally beautiful interior - lots of clean white color and lots of earthy wood, accented by verdant, carefully placed foliage. The staff was intelligent, professional, and gracious. We placed our orders for tea to be delivered later, were given lockers, and enjoyed showers stocked with high quality organic, aromatic products. We put on our plush supplied bathrobes, over our swimsuits, and entered the spa area, which was cheerily illuminated by large windows, yet was adequately private. We spent some time in the steam room, then in the sauna, then took a dip in the plunge pool which, at about 55 degrees, was cold enough - WOWZA! - to momentarily take my breath away. Feeling fantastically invigorated, we enjoyed the hot tea we had ordered before, while relaxing in perfectly heated seats. If we had had the time, I would have taken another trip through the cycle - it was the BOMB! Even with just one trip, through, we left feeling terrific, both completely relaxed and utterly refreshed. These are great, high quality peeps, and this spa is the real deal - you owe it to yourself to check this place out.

Rebecca R.

Yelp
The Sauna House is very welcoming. They have a dry sauna and a wet sauna. There are showers and a freezing plunge pool. It's a fine way to spend your money and your time.

Cynthia S.

Yelp
The Sauna House has good energy. All the employees seem to have good energy. they are professional and kind. I'm going to donate to doctors without borders as a gift to the Sauna House for the holiday season
google avatar

Leah H.

Yelp
A small group of us went to Sauna House in Asheville as a holiday date but we won't be back. The place was filthy and the staff wasn't willing to cleanup the hair and puddles all over the floors. The bathroom, showers and "Locker" room were especially gross and you must walk around barefoot. The 5 of us parked our shoes up front in cubbies as directed but one pair of nice expensive boots were stolen. And the lockers where we left our belongings (purses, jewelry, clothes) were NOT locked; no locks provided. Half the equipment was out of order or unplugged. 1 of the 2 cold plunges was "out of order" and 3 of the 7 pieces of warm furniture were unplugged. We booked a 2 hour session 8pm - 10pm then were told upon arrival to be mindful they close at 10:00 so be packing up at 9:45 was par for the course. I wouldn't have left the review of our experience but after my friends boots were stolen and several attempts at calling and going up there didn't help, I thought I'd let visitors know what to prepare for.

Jessica W.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place but I was underwhelmed. The bathroom was literally crawling with hundreds of ants and when I brought it to their attention I was met with an attitude. I paid a lot of money for a "private" room only to find out once I got there that I would have to leave the private room every 15 minutes to rinse off in the shared showers. For the price I expected nicer and cleaner amenities.

Janine C.

Yelp
My fiancé and I have been to Sauna House twice now and both times have been top notch experiences! Firstly, this place is very nice, bright, and modern. Upon walking in, the staff are all very friendly and warm and make you feel relaxed. They will walk you through the ins and outs of the Sauna House. If you are getting a massage (which you should definitely do!), get there 15 mins or so before so you can get settled and not feel rushed. We did the 60 minute integrative massages for both visits and thoroughly enjoyed the services we received from Marta (whom my fiancé requested the second time after having a phenomenal massage on the first visit), Megan, and Lindsey. Afterwards, we did about 2 hours in bathhouse (included with the massage price), rotating between the 2 different saunas and the cold plunge pool/cold shower. Truly refreshing and relaxing! COVID-19 precautions-wise, I feel like Sauna House does a good job keeping patrons safe. You have to schedule your visit. They do temperature checks at the door. Hand sanitizers are everywhere. Capacity limits in the saunas are posted and patrons follow them. And when your 2-hour time block is about to be over, a staff member will let you know. I will say that the place is not as big as I thought it would be but we've gone in the morning when they first opened and also in the evening before they closed and both times, I felt like we were able to social distance sufficiently. A visit to Sauna House is one of the best things you can do in Asheville. A massage may seem to be on the pricier side (at $125/person plus tip for a 60-minute integrative massage and a 2-hour bathhouse visit) but it is well worth it and actually one of the better options around Asheville, where spa visits/massages can be around $350+/couple. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Sauna House!

Yelp
We came here after previous plans got cancelled for a spa day and are so glad we did! The staff was incredible and guided us through every step of the process. We did a massage and then used the bathhouse and it was amazing. We had the 60 minute massage and then sat in the sauna for about 15 before heading to the bathhouse to use the additional sauna and have a cold dip in the pool which was super refreshing. Would def recommend.

Heidi W.

Yelp
The bath house and the massages were great. That's the only reason this place is getting two stars instead of one. I hated the customer service. We were actually asked to leave the empty lobby when we were waiting for our Lyft to make room for their "guests". This meant we were forced to wait outside. This is after my sister and I had spent almost $400 there. Really disappointing.

Annette L.

Yelp
This place is very minimalist and overpriced, but I enjoyed myself simply because the clientele was awesome. Loved my conversations in the sauna. The cold plunge is tiny but as you might guess, no one stays in long so you just have to be patient for about 2 minutes. I don't think they should be asking for tips at the front desk, the fact that they do illustrates how out of hand the tipping culture has become. Still, I recommend Sauna House.

Abby C.

Yelp
I love you Sauna House! Beautiful space that is thoughtfully designed in Scandinavian/modern esthetic. I appreciate the pretty plants and filtered water. The Finish saunas are clean, large, and hot. It was my first time cold plunging and their 2 options are great. I frequent many spas and saunas around the world, this is one of my favorites! You will leave feeling invigorated. Very sweet staff - easy location and parking. Counting down til next visit.

Jeff M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing facility to mellow out. Cold plunge pool is the real deal. Sauna is spacious and HOT. Would 100% recommend. Staff was very informative and helpful. I highly recommend getting the teas.
google avatar

Lunden S.

Yelp
One of my favorite things to do in Asheville is go to the sauna house. Best environment. So relaxing. I always feel incredible afterwards. I have done the community sauna and cold plunge and love that AND I've done the private sauna experience and that was great too. Highly recommend!

Rachel J.

Yelp
Great place to relax and reset. The showers get really cold so it's great hot cold therapy. You can also adjust the heat in the sauna by adding water. It's not dry like other saunas. The prices are a bit high so it's better to buy a package. Friendly staff
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
Best place in town to reset and relax. I definitely feel better mentally and physically after rotating through the hot and cold. The atmosphere and cbd seltzer definitely adds to my happiness there. Hoping to make this at least a monthly treat for myself. All you need is your bathing suit and you can go all day.
google avatar

Dunn F.

Yelp
Gosh, this place is amazing! I would go every week if I lived in Asheville. Cody and Tea were super helpful in explaining how the sauna works. I loved everything about my experience there--sitting in heated beaches, drinking cappuccino between sauna experiences. I even did the cold plunge--ONCE! Such a great facility with a nice aesthetic. My fiancé loved it, too! Hint--rent a robe!
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. It was just what I needed. I feel so much better after my visit last night. They were very friendly and courteous. It was clean and efficient and they have lockers to put your belongings in. I do recommend you bring your own robe and flip flops. (If you're like me and don't like to walk around barefoot.) I am thrilled to know about this and will definitely come back!
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Sauna house is amazing. My massage was probably the best I've ever had and I loved the cold + hot circuit. I was nervous to do it but I felt very comfortable and the staff was super kind. I'd highly recommend this establishment to both locals + visitors in the area.
google avatar

Cheryl N.

Yelp
What a lovely new oasis in Asheville. Scandinavian sauna with 3 tiers of benches to relax on, and a cold plunge pool to complete the cycle. White walls, green plants & lots of wood. Warm chairs! The staff will take you through the spa etiquette- please pay attention because it makes the experience better for everyone. Spa robes. Delicious teas can be brought to you or Shanti Elixers. You can count on anywhere from 45" or more to truly find the relaxation Bada Bastu promises. This is our new favorite spot in AVL. Maybe we're on our way to - Spa Town? Welcome Bada Bastu!
google avatar

Lane G.

Yelp
We visited Asheville a few weeks ago from San Francisco for a cousin's wedding and found this place. Perfect way to kick off our weekend after a long day of travel. Incredible staff, clean facility, relaxing atmosphere, great price. Not many places have a cold plunge and theirs is amazing. I wish this place was in my back yard. My wife LOVED her massage and I just did some hot/cold relaxation for an hr. We both left feeling in a completely changed state. More places like this please!
google avatar

Porscha F.

Yelp
I had such a great experience today! I'm in town for a little R&R and last minute decided to try this spot out. The online reservation process was super easy and clear. I also loved their Covid policies. When I arrived I was warmly greeted and shown around. My massage with Lauren was great. She paid attention to the hot spots and still made sure to hit the full body in the time allotted. I enjoyed a bit of time in the hot/cold amenities. Not a fan of cold, but I went with it since I was there. Had to get the full experience. I will definitely return when in town again. This a great little spot to get away for a few hours.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Love being a regular here. The vibe is amazing. Please remember that downstairs is a quiet space and you'll have the best time.
google avatar

Cate S.

Yelp
My husband and I went today for the first time-him for a deep tissue massage and me for sauna and plunge. From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and everything was explained, from what to expect to general etiquette. My husband said the massage was excellent and really helped work out some deep rooted knots. I have never done a plunge before and was slightly terrified, but it was really refreshing after 15 minutes in the hot sauna. I found that the second plunge was easier than the first. I also enjoyed a warm cup of tea on the heated chairs while reading a book in between plunges. When my husband finished his massage he did a sauna/plunge combo and then relaxed for a bit before we left. He said the massage/plunge combo really helped alleviate sore muscles. We will be back!
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
Husband was able to schedule a last moment massage session for us after previous plans didn't work out. We are so glad they fell through, this place was wonderful. The staff are nice, the massages were wonderful and they listened to what we wanted to focus on and worked around physically injuries we have to work around. After the great massages we had access to the sauna house itself which was a really nice first time experience the dry and wet sauna, showers waiting areas to relax and the cold plunge that was highly recommended felt so amazing! Would love to visit more, we were on vacation and will want to come back soon. There are regulars there we talked to highly recommend the place for a good price.
google avatar

Ben M.

Yelp
I feel better after a sauna and cold plunge, every time. I enjoy sitting in the heated seats and letting my mind be totally blank. The space is clean, acoustics are pleasant. Nice plants. This is nearly a perfect place. And the staff approaches the challenges of social distancing for covid thoughtfully and dynamically. Well done.

Jessica C.

Yelp
We did the 2 hour sauna experience. It was so clean and cute inside, and very affordable. It was a great, relaxing experience and we would definitely come back if ever in Asheville again.

Kimberly E.

Yelp
EXCELLENT massage. Clean environment and nice amenities (water, robes, towels, shampoo, conditioner, etc.). So relaxing and peaceful, a great retreat. I would be there pretty regularly (especially in the winter!) if I lived in Asheville.
google avatar

Marah L.

Yelp
Had the pleasure of getting a massage this afternoon and was joined by a friend to sauna/plunge afterward. I am so impressed!! The spa itself is spotless and beautifully designed, staff were very friendly and the ambiance is 10/10. I also have to say my massage with Alexis was one of the best I've ever had! I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Christy S.

Yelp
A great visit! Check-in process was quick and smooth. I can say hands-down that Jane gave me the best massage I've ever had. Shower, bathrooms and sauna were immaculately clean. Plunge pool was an entirely new experience! I can highly recommend Sauna House when you want some quality quiet time with your self-care. We'll be back!

Mary W.

Yelp
Sauna House was a nice and relaxing surprise after a long car ride. The 90 min massage was fantastic. The staff are warm and friendly and the space extremely clean and bright. Our first experience with the cold plunge pool but we found it very invigorating. We would definitely visit Sauna House again when we return to Asheville.
google avatar

Jamie B.

Yelp
This place is so dreamy! The whole place is gorgeous and just feels like a little Scandinavian oasis. Alexis has been my go-to for massages for years and I'm so glad she's settled here. I can't wait to be back in Asheville to go!

Rob M.

Yelp
I visit the Sauna House every time we are in Ashville. Incredible facility and staff. Leave feeling euphoric and centered. Thank you!

Sara B.

Yelp
The sauna house in Asheville is incredibly special. In a world full of chaos it is a calming force and such a a hug benefit to my overall health. My husband and I visit as much as we can and appreciate the great lengths they go to keep everything clean and safe during COVID. We are forever clients and love this important fixture of our community. Don't hesitate to book here.

Jaclin S.

Yelp
I had the best experience here! I wish I had one of these where I live. My massage with Haydyn was one of the best I've ever had. And then getting to do the sauna and cold plunge afterwards was incredible. Super clean and beautiful aesthetic. I hope to be back!
google avatar

Sydney B.

Yelp
Went in with my fiancé and a few friends, and we absolutely loved it! Clean, calming, and much more relaxing than I had anticipated. We went at our own pace and were free to do whatever we wanted with our time in the spa. My favorite part was resting in the heated chairs in between the sauna and cold plunge! Must go for locals.
google avatar

Cori M.

Yelp
A sauna and cold plunge was like the missing puzzle piece to Asheville--and these guys pulled it off PERFECTLY! Beautiful, clean, hip space + down to earth, friendly vibe. Add lounging in heated seats while sipping tea after the the sauna and cold plunge!?? Life literally cannot get better in here.
google avatar

Bryant A.

Yelp
Was in town for a short conference, I drank to many cocktails on my flight and really needed a detox. Walked into this place and found a very nicely designed space, love doing a few rounds of sauna and cold plunge in a clean chill environment. They have heated benches to warm up on after cold plunge, drinking delicious tea is an added bonus to the experience. Want this in my town.
google avatar

Dor D.

Yelp
Beautiful facility, beautiful people, and amazing experience!!! Definitely recommended!!
google avatar

Katherine F.

Yelp
I can't say enough great things about Bada Bastu. From the amazing staff, to the beautiful and calming decor, Andrew and his team have perfected the art of relaxation. We make it a priority to visit at least once a week and the effect hot-cold therapy has on our sleep is incredible. We leave the spa feeling like we've received a full-body massage. The tea service is delicious and the heated benches are the cherry on top of completing the hot-cold circuits. We're so lucky to have this gem available to us (and at such a great price!!). Looking forward to trying out the massage services that we've heard are phenomenal.

Laura C.

Yelp
Our massage + 2 hours in the bathhouse (we did the traditional wet sauna) was perfection. Clean, modern, comfortable, relaxing, fun experience all around. The staff was friendly, the massage therapists were pros. This was one of our favorite parts of our vacation. Would highly recommend & will certainly be back next trip!
google avatar

Tyler H.

Yelp
Amazing experience! Clean, modern design and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend!
