I came here for dinner with partner on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was largely full which was a good sign. Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience. The food was a big disappointment. I had the fish and chips starter which was big hunks of tuna that had been covering breadcrumbs. That didn't work - it was very heavy and the chips were chewy. I had the swordfish main which was very well presented - the samosa was stacked on the fish. Whilst there was tonnes of flavours they didn't complement each other. The biggest culprit was the sauce which was incredibly sharp - it made my eyes water. I had a margarita to drink which was pretty good and reasonably oriced. No complaints there. Overall the service was inconsistent and mechanical - there wasn't a personal touch. I would expect that given the price. In fairness once we ordered the food came quickly. However, we waited longer than normal to be seated and for our drinks order to be taken. The atmosphere and location are great I can't fault it in that sense.

Wow. I came for the cool view (and the availability of electric plugs) to take some work calls from here…. and ended up staying all day - amazing location by main beaches excellent food for a reasonable price, served by a great team kind and thoughtful without being “overwhelming”. I would 100% come back and make sure to book in advance to have the table by the ocean. EDIT: I came back for lunch several times the food was consistently amazing cheers to the kitchen’s team

Marvelous place. Outstanding and very professional service. The tapas and meals are of excellent quality. One could think that a beach restaurant may just thrive thanks to its good location but it ain't. It's probably the place I prefer in St-Gilles and I've gone to dozen of restaurants / bars. Beware that the Sauvage is usually always overbooked, if you want a diner table you gonna have to make a reservation one or two days in advance.

The restaurant is in a great location. Can’t beat that. Food was ok. I was there for lunch, not much choice (well if you don’t eat seafood you have only a salad to help you). Service was good at least and I got parking right outside. Prices are a bit high for what it is.

The best place to drink or eat the feet in the sand while enjoying the sunset. The staff si super welcoming. The food tapas or dishes really good. And the cocktails are excellent and original 👌 Try to book or go there before 5pm or you won’t have a spot in this trendy beach club!

Dinner on the beach, delicious and rather innovative cooking and the best service on the island! The nougat from goat cheese is fantastic, while the creole platter is tasty. But be careful on how much starter you eat, the mains are big and absolutely fantastic! Tuna tataki is fresh and well prepared, while the chicken with fried risotto served the best cooked chicken breast I ever had. Overall a place not to miss when in La Reunion.

Sauvage is the perfect spot for a bite to eat, a cocktail, a meal etc. Great atmosphere, friendly and professional staff, delicious food. I almost deducted one star for not having more of a selection of beer (after having discovered a couple of great artisanal beers from La Réunion) but I’d definitely come back and hang out here regardless.
