Savannah Historic District

Savannah’s Historic District is full of charm and history, and it’s easy to explore entirely on foot. The Riverwalk is a highlight, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and a great honey store worth stopping by. There are hop on hop off and trolley available. Beautiful green medians lined with weeping willow and oak trees give the area a peaceful feel. Don’t miss the old cemetery and historic buildings throughout – it’s a truly memorable place to visit.

Savannah is a beautiful city to explore!! Lots of history. We unfortunately only had a day, and it definitely wasn't enough time. We did the hop on hop off trolley tours. It was nice to have transportation around the area for the day while also having the freedom to just get off and explore. Which I highly recommend you do! The cemetery was very neat to see. I hope on our next trip to see more of what Savannah has to offer. These photos are just a glimpse into what we saw and what you can look forward to seeing yourself.

I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Georgia – it’s a true gem of the South!

First time visiting Savannah and I fell in love! The tress are just a beautiful piece of the history here. Walking down the shops was pleasant. I enjoyed the candy store I don’t remember the name but they make the candy there and give you samples. It’s a great shop to visit and bring the kids when visiting here. Walking down the waterfront was also nice and watching the boats pass by was neat. There is so much to look at and visit. The shops have a variety of options and restaurants to choose from. I highly recommend visiting here with family. Make sure to check the weather because it can get hot.

Wife and I took a day trip here. I had never been before. There was so much to do. Between tours, shops, places to eat. We ran out of time well before we ran out of things to do. Excited to go back again! If you are a history buff I highly recommend one of the tours in the area. Well worth the money spent and you will learn A LOT!

Outstanding. The city is easily navigated through streets of historic homes, parks, and hundreds of shops and restaurants featuring cultural and regional fare. Well Worth the trip to walk the city or buy a “hop on-hop off” trolley ticket!

One of the most beautiful cities that I have visited. I highly recommend a trolley tour followed by a walking tour.

Great architecture, awesome shady squares. Used the hop on - off trolley. Plenty of museums, restaurants, and shops. One of the best historic districts we've visited.
