10 Best Tours in Savannah

"The city sprung up around the Savannah River, which still plays a large part in daily commercial life. Savannah Riverboat Cruises' two classic riverboats—The River Queen and the Georgia Queen, with capacities of 600 and 1,000 respectively—glide along the water for 90 minutes, visiting points of interest and serving up some tasty Southern treats. It's worth tuning into the cheery narration blaring from the speakers on the top deck and if you keep a sharp eye on the water, you might spot some dolphins." - Paul Oswell

Savannah Riverboat Cruises

"What’s the big picture here? The city sprung up around the Savannah River, which still plays a large part in daily commercial life. Savannah Riverboat Cruises' two classic riverboats—The River Queen and the Georgia Queen, with capacities of 600 and 1,000 respectively—glide along the water for 90 minutes, visiting points of interest and serving up some tasty Southern treats. Tell us about your fellow tourees. My lunchtime tour was very busy, with hundreds of people, mostly tourists, packing the tables and decks. It didn’t feel too crowded though, with plenty of places to sit and watch the landscape roll by. How is the guided part of the tour? The narration gives enough general history and pointers for sightseeing that it feels helpful but not intrusive. It really is worth tuning where you can hear it best on the top deck, but if you want a quieter cruise you can go down below. Any other tips?If you keep a sharp eye on the water, you might spot some dolphins. The servers are bright and breezy as they take orders and deliver drinks, and the buffet is excellent, the fried chicken a definite highlight. Sum this up for us.This is 90 minutes well spent. The river is such a huge part of Savannah’s history, and sailing part of it in an evocative, historic riverboat is the only way to see it." - Paul Oswell

We had a great time aboard this cruise. Great views of the river. Pretty good variety of lunch options. Narrator was hilarious, kept the experience upbeat. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Beautiful on a nice day. Would recommend.

Great educational cruise up and down the Savannah River. Highlights are the water front buildings, the suspension bridge and Fort Jackson. Most of the cruise is views of the industrial and commercial shipping industry. For me very interesting, but might not be for everyone. Gage, our ship tour guide was informative and entertaining.

Google
Five Star Review of Savannah Riverboat Sunset Cruise My wife and I recently enjoyed the Savannah Riverboat Sunset Cruise, and it was a fantastic experience! We chose this excursion to see the sunset and enjoy fresh air from the rooftop of this amazing river ride. The cruise lasts approximately two hours, and the ship, with its four stories, offers a unique opportunity to roam each deck and enjoy different views as the boat moves along the river. We particularly loved sitting on the rooftop at the front of the boat, then moving to the rear, experiencing various perspectives during the golden hour. The panoramic views from the open-air top deck were stunning, and we were able to see iconic landmarks like the Talmadge Memorial Bridge and historic River Street. The restrooms were very clean; we recommend the ones on the third deck toward the front. The boat was only 70% filled, allowing us to explore comfortably. While we didn’t try the food, the bars were great, and the water bottles were reasonably priced at $2 each. The Savannah Riverboat cruises are known for their cleanliness and excellent service. Roaming around the ship made the cruise more enjoyable, perfect for people-watching and sightseeing. The atmosphere was lively, with music from riverboat entertainers enhancing the experience. Don’t forget to bring binoculars for an even better view next time! Highly recommend this cruise for a beautiful and relaxing evening on the Savannah River.

Check In Process: We were in a queue and it was a wee bit cold. I wish the check in process could have been faster🙃 Seats: Comfortable dining chairs Buffet: I loved the mediterranean salad. It was a brunch menu. The meal was not bad. Not great but not bad! Commentary: The commentary on the local history was educative till a point. When it ran longer, we lost interest and went out for a stroll🙃🤩🙈🙈 Elevator: They have an elevator but they asked us to take the stairs to the 2nd deck. Photos: I hate having my picture taken but they insist on taking pictures while boarding😊🤩🙈 CRISSY was wonderful. She was very prompt with the drinks! Menu: For those who are curious, there was Southern Fried Chicken, Scrambled and Eggs Benedict, Muffins, Ham, Banana Pudding and a cobbler, bacon, biscuits and gravy, cheese grits and ( separate) shrimp, sausages, I think, home fries, mixed cut fruits and a nice salad. I have missed mentioning some foods, I am sure! Hot drinks and soft ones were included and there was a paid bar. The ( black) lady at the serving station was very sweet and helpful. Couldn’t catch her name. Suggestions: I am not the dancing type but there was a live band on a lunch cruise in Washington DC and people were dancing. It was way more entertaining than this one. Happy 1st of January everyone!!🍀🌟🍀

Visited 7/11/24. Parked in a nearby parking garage and walked down to the river. Enjoyed this river cruise tour very much. Great way to see Savannah if it’s your first visit and learn about the city and history. The breeze up on deck was welcome on a hot summer’s day. There were different price levels of tickets in case you wanted to eat while cruising. There was a concession stand on the upper deck. Bathrooms were clean. The tour guide spoke clearly and was entertaining. (Tips are optional at the end of the cruise.) If you’re lucky you’ll see dolphins at the turn around point. This was a fun addition to our visit to Savannah. Highly recommend!

Google
It was our first time trying river cruises. We chose just the cruise option. They also have lunch and river cruises available. The ride is about 1.5 hours long. It is recommended that customers purchase their tickets online. Also, the boarding starts from one to an hour and a half prior to the departure time. We sat on the 3rd and 4th deck. The view was amazing. The captain gave a detailed explanation of the area and building around the Savannah River. They also took pictures prior to boarding that were $38 for a set or 4. I found it a bit expensive.

Yelp
My wife and I were in Savannah for a long weekend vacation and decided to try the riverboat cruise. It was pretty cool, not a lot of stuff to see on the river, but they did have a cannon fire from one of the forts along the banks. The narrator was pretty great and funny in spots. I would give it a shot if you were here on a trip to Savannah.

Yelp
Cruise overall was ok. I would recommend to a friend, but would warn them about a few things. The cost of the cruise/dinner was a little expensive due to the food being warm/room temp. I understand we could go back and get as much food as we want, but we didn't want to go back for cold food. We paid over $100 per person for the cruise. This only included the cruise and dinner. Alcoholic drinks were extra. I totally understand we were not just paying for a dinner. It costs a lot to run a boat, pay staff and have a band. But, having banquet food and the servers not having to serve you or have food runners to help, this should save a lot of time and energy that can be used in other areas. When we arrived at our table we felt rushed to get our food and we were 40 minutes from leaving the dock. We told them we wanted to wait a while to eat so we could experience our dinner while cruising down the river. We also heard other servers tell their tables to go ahead and start eating. We wanted to have a couple of drinks from the bar and then have our meal. Wouldn't the dinner cruise and their servers make more money, since alcoholic drinks aren't included in the price of dinner? Due to this, the experience of a "dinner cruise" was lacking. We would have loved to have more time to enjoy a drink (or 2) and watch the boat depart, then start our dinner. We could have done this, but kept being reminded that the buffet staff was ready for us each time a server passed us. We were also told we could visit the buffet as many times as we'd like until 8:00p, why the rush? We had almost 2 hours to eat. It really took away the magic of a dinner cruise experience. Overall the food was ok and the buffet staff was fantastic. Our server was good, but busy. Too many tables and having to help make drinks. I know being understaffed is very hard, so no points taken off for that. I felt bad for the servers. This is a great concept. We were excited to be able to have this expertise available to us on our trip to Savannah.

Yelp

Yelp
Excellent food and service! We booked our group trip in advance and had ease of tickets, check in and seating. The bathrooms were clean and the buffet was hot and ready. Best shrimp and grits around. Tour was great and guide was knowledgeable. Our waitress's Genesis and Imani were prompt and helpful.

Yelp
I took a Sunday brunch cruise with a friend. I'm generally not a fan of buffets, but this one won me over. I sampled a lot of the food and most of it was top notch. You can't come to Savannah and not try shrimp & grits. I'm not a fan of grits, but it was OK. The breakfast food like the eggs, bacon, sausage, and french toast was all served warm and was all delicious. The fried chicken was outstanding, and I wouldn't expect less in the South. The waitress was very friendly and was working her butt off to serve a large number of people. She brought over sweet tea which had the exact level of sweetness that I like. She also brought over blueberry muffins that were to die for, and cinnamon rolls that were a bit overcooked on the outside but delicious on the inside. After stuffing ourselves with food we were able to go outside and take a seat on the deck. As we watched the scenery go by the captain was on the microphone giving us details about what we were seeing, with a good sense of humor. When we came back in our table had been cleared, but the waitress left my extra muffin covered with a napkin. In my mind I said "YES", because I loved that muffin. We gave her a good tip. If you take one of these cruises do not forget to tip the waitress. I highly recommend the brunch cruise.

Yelp
Enjoyed it? Kinda. Overpriced? yes. Views? meh. Would do it over? probably not. It was just ok. I've been on better river tours. Wasn't much to see. My teen son and husband were bored. Could have been 30 minutes for 1/3 of the price and been more enjoyable. The boat is very nice and clean and staff was friendly though.

Yelp
what an excellent experience everything from start to finish was absolutely wonderful. Our server was fantastic. Very prompt. Had her drinks filled with very friendly outgoing. His name is Will and he is absolutely amazing. Our cruise lunch Cruise was wonderful. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable time with my family. Will was amazing. The food was HOT and fresh !! I'll highly recommend anyone in the Savannah Georgia area to take this lunch or dinner cruise fantastic

Yelp
We did this kind of on a whim when we did a whirlwind weekend trip to Savannah It's a little on the gimmicky side, but still a fun time. The brunch was pretty good actually considering it's a buffet. I took one star away away simply because it's not a real paddle boat. The paddle wheel was just there for looks, it didn't operate. Might not mater to most folks, but I was kinda looking forward to a unique experience in that regard. Captain was good, just enough humor sprinkled into his tour to keep it interesting. Having the fort fire it's cannon as we went by was a nice touch! Definitely worth the ride if you wanna laid back hour or two.

Linda R.

Yelp
Bri our server was great. The experience was great. Fantastic food and service. The trip was slow and steady. The views were great.

Yelp
Our servers Amani and Genesis were amazing. The food was excellent. Make sure you save room for dessert because the banana pudding was so good! The shrimp and grits were so good. We went with a group of 21 and we were not disappointed.

Yelp
Genesis was the best! On point and didn't let my drink get low. Food was good and nice verity. The air conditioner was super cold and perfect to cool off.

Yelp
This is definitely a must do in Savannah, GA! We did the Monday Gospel Dinner Cruise on the Georgia Queen Riverboat. This is a 2 hour cruise that is held on Monday evenings during certain times of the year. From beginning to end, everything was perfect from the friendly staff to the delicious food buffet, and most importantly, great gospel music! There was an intermission during our time to allow us to go on deck to take in the sights of the beautiful Savannah River! I have absolutely no complaints about this experience, and I hope to experience this again!

Yelp
This review is for the narrated tour. It seems a lot of the negative reviews are for the food options. Okay, don't buy those tickets. Take in the sights and learn a little bit about the area. Some modern, some from civil wartimes, some from the small screen such as seeing the boat from Ozark. Yes, "In season three, the Byrdes become involved in a riverfront casino operation, the Big Muddy Riverboat. Some of the scenes were added digitally, but the riverfront in Savannah is visible, along with the Savannah Riverboat Cruises." If you buy tickets online you still need to get the "real" tickets from their storefront across from the boat. Why? I have no idea. The narrated tour that I went on was on the 3rd and 4th decks. With being June the heat was pretty intense. This would be much more enjoyable in the cooler months. However, with something like a 20% load at best you had the run of the ship being able to find shade or a cool breeze as needed. The drinks they have can cool you down too. The pricing isn't actually bad either on those. Well, maybe it is high for the area but considering this is a tourist thing to do I am relating it to other experiences elsewhere. Why you would even want the food on board I do not know. You on River Street to start and downtown Savannah is a delight just a walk-up from where the boat is docked. Enjoy the view, enjoy the narration, have a drink.

Yelp
My partner decided to take my parents and I on a lunch cruise while my parents were visiting. This is a great activity for older folks, as there isn't much walking and there are food/ drinks (included if you get the lunch cruise option). My father is legally blind, and this place was relatively accessible. The narrated cruise was helpful as well. There are options to sit inside and outside, and I think getting the lunch option over just the tour is worth it. The indoor seating was a lot more put together for those that paid for the buffet. No pics of the food, but there were about 12 options to choose from, including two desert options. There wasn't a salad option. But there were collard greens, Mac n cheese, shrimp and grits, fried chicken, cole slaw, fruit, pudding, and others. Soft drinks were included with the buffet, but alcoholic beverages were not. Our waitress was so pleasant! And staff was accommodating. Unsure about the dinner cruise, and unsure how I would enjoy this is if it were just my Partner and I, but it was a great activity with the parents :)

Yelp
I only did the sightseeing cruise which is about $38. It's 90 mins. You'll pass by Old Fort Jackson. The captain will give you some history about the city and fun facts. The cruise is big so you can either enjoy the sun outside on the upper deck or be inside in either the dining room or observation deck. They have AC inside. No food is included but you can buy food at the bar and grill outside. Overall, they had some really nice areas to take pictures but I did not think it was worth $38.
google avatar

Ike R.

Yelp
The day before we went on the cruise we went to one of the tour stations. We bought our cruise tickets in a package with the Prohibition museum and the trolley. We are trying to decide between the lunch cruise and just the sightseeing cruise. There is also a dinner cruise. We decided that we could probably get better food in a restaurant so we took the sightseeing cruise. It's the same boat but you sit on different levels. It is a buffet lunch served on decks 1and 2. I do not know the quality of the food. I can only comment on the experience of the boat, the bar and the narration of the cruise. Surprisingly smoking is allowed on the boat if you are outside. We stood in line to board the boat. The line went quickly, and there was a photographer to take your picture so that you can spend more money. This is a large boat holding up to 1,000 passengers. There are 4 decks, with the 4 th deck being totally open. Starting with the important parts -the bar! It had all kinds of specialty drinks, as well as your beer and wine. Even if you don't go on the lunch, there is food available to those of us who chose the less expensive sightseeing only part of the cruise. We went a little ways up the river, but had to turn around because a barge was coming down the river. So we went down the river and our guide pointed out things on both sides of the river. He did a nice job. The sailing was smooth, although there was quite a wind. The cruise was 90 minutes in length. It was about $42 per person in our package deal. You got to hear the history and see River Street from the boat. We felt it was worthwhile.
google avatar

Angie P.

Yelp
We were super excited to get a tour of the Savannah River so we opted to get on this riverboat. The boat was very clean and well put together. Very welcoming! Just a bit outdated with limited seating. The river was nothing special to see. Very industrial areas and the river water was quite brown. We did get to see two dolphins! Just once, but it was the highlight of our cruise. The drinks were great. I feel the alcohol options were good and priced right on point. Do I recommend going on this riverboat? Yes, I do. I think if you don't get on this riverboat you will feel as if you've missed out. I have been on several riverboats before and should not have expected to experience the same things I had experienced on previous riverboats (in different states). So just to be clear, some folks would really enjoy taking this riverboat tour. Take the tour. Enjoy yourselves! Based on many 5 star reviews, you may love it!
google avatar

Martin G.

Yelp
Fun time. Narrator was good at giving the history of the area. Was surprised the paddle on the back of the riverboat don't actually turn.. lol. But, it was a fun time.

Sonica D.

Yelp
Had a sunday brunch with my fiance . The river boat tour is okay.It is definitely overpriced. The food is okay, staff is amazingly friendly Genesis our waitress had customer service, so kind and sweet ,try it just to put it on your to-do list to say you Did It.

Cj L.

Yelp
Horrible food not worth the money. Service sucked. Only thing I liked was the view and the bread they serve. I feel ripped off

Stanley A.

Yelp
My wife and I took the river boat cruise on 3July 2024. Our waitress Bri!! Was very delightful and extremely courteous, a very nice young woman.

Ardis H.

Yelp
My husband and I took the 1:00 pm cruise today. Our expectations were high because we'd had a wonderful experience last year on a 2 hour narrated harbor cruise in San Diego. This is a short cruise of approximately 70 minutes of actual moving time on the river. Allow plenty of time for parking. Two ramps we went to were full. On street parking is a challenge. The boat goes north up the river to the historic old fort Jackson and then turns around and goes the opposite direction along River Street. Then it turns around and returns to the dock. Not a whole lot to see. We saw one container ship and several tug boats, also a few smaller boats with fishing gear. The narration is good, by a professional actor, but the stories have a lot of filler about the civil war, etc. not necessarily about or related to the river. The narrator takes a short break after an hour. Fortunately it was a sunny, nice day. Center of the top deck was less windy and easier to see than the front of the boat. Good views of the river. Food and beverages are expensive on the boat. Everything is ordered at the bars. Food is delivered to where you are seated. (Table, chairs, and benches) Bring some cash for tip jars.
google avatar

Robert H.

Yelp
Nice huge ship, super smooth. Narration informative and clear. When one turns at the fort, be prepared to snort your soda out of your nostrils, they may be a surprise there. Dolphins and history. Soda at 3.50 and photo at an astounding 38 dollars they need to rethink.
google avatar

Jill Z.

Yelp
IF you want front row seats to the fireworks, be prepared to pay and make sure to stand port (left) side front on the boat. We were disappointed for $200 no food or drink was included. We had never been to Savannah before, so we wanted to make sure we had good viewing, hence why we paid $200. On the Riverboat website it doesn't say food and dink is extra. Also, you can get a chair and sit along the riverfront (in front of the candy shop) and can get just as good viewing plus it's free and you can bring s cooler and have your own personal river front bar
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
Large vessel that is very stable. Leaves on time and is narrated. We had the lunch buffet, yuck. Shrimp and fried fish were like rubber. The dessert tasted fake, Publix is way better. I suggest that you avoid the food, it's worse than the worst hospital. Drinks were outrageously expensive. The narration was informative and entertaining but was full of silly jokes. We were mislead on some of the sites and then told "just kidding". The speaker system is terrible. There were very few of them and it was nearly impossible to hear over the talkative crowd in the dining room. There are better options for less money.

Joanne K.

Yelp
The service in the dining room buffet was professional and fairly quick for our group of 18. Food servers did a great job. The narration on the 4th level deck by Zaccheus was informative and historically interesting. He spoke without notes and clarified events about Old Fort Jackson during the Civil War that we had not heard before. What a passionate student of American History! We highly recommend the Georgia Queen luncheon cruise.
google avatar

Mecca F.

Yelp
Last minute decision to hop on this sunset 2 hour cruise. They offer a dinner cruise at the same time. They capture a photo as you board the vessel. We were escorted to the 3/4 floors. We decided to grab some food from the bar. Items offer are bar like items. We order the chili-dog, shrimp and hamburger. Basic food with basic taste. The vessel set sail at 7pm. They play music and we sat on the deck. During the cruise we were able to see tons of dolphins. The night breeze was beautiful and the sunset was amazingly nice. Something to experience.
google avatar

Ellen N.

Yelp
Took the sightseeing cruise this afternoon. Everything went smoothly. I did not visit the bar/snack area, since the line seemed really long, and I just ate lunch. The guide Zacheas (sp) was really funny and informative. Captain Mike spotted dolphins and let us know where to spot them. I booked this cruise together with the trolley tour through viator. A great experience indeed.
google avatar

Danielle F.

Yelp
I would definitely say take this cruise but check the menu if you decide to do the dinner cruise. The night went the good was horrible but the waitress was AWESOME along with the DJ on the top deck. Please do not purchase your tickets through "Vacation Made Easy" they are a SCAM. This company charges $46 more than the price you pay through Savanah Riverboat Cruises. If you are looking for Food try Mrs. Wilkes!
google avatar

Monica A.

Yelp
Booked a river cruise for the holidays, New Years dinner with a friend. We were checked in promptly and seated close to a friendly couple. Music was fun and the dinner was pretty good overall. They have photographers going around taking pictures of guests and those are available for purchase at the end of the cruise. The boat drives around the bay and it lasts about 2-3 hours in total. Drinks are for sale, a bit on the pricey side. I was surprised that for being a NYE dinner, there was no dress code and some people looked like they had just rolled out of bed. It would have been nice if for such an event they'd require a dress code for the celebrations. It was so weird to be dressed up for the dinner and people were in crocs and sweat pants all around. That's a bit ridiculous if you ask me. But all in all it was a good time!
google avatar

Yelp
Fun cruise! Great for family time and fellowship. Should definitely try a day or night cruise one day if you're in the area!

Yelp
We enjoyed the narrated lunch cruise as a family. No need to pay for the upgraded window seat, which we did, as you don't move until after lunch. Eating in the middle of the floor, we wouldn't have missed anything. The food was average, what you would expect eating a buffet on a boat. Husband loved the shrimp & grits. I was a big fan of the cornbread. Kids all got down on the baked Mac n cheese. The interior on the boat may be "dated" but I think that it's part of the charm, to be expected, fits the motif of the boat. I was bummed that the paddle is just for looks, it is a boat that has always had an engine, it wasn't upgraded later. The bathrooms were clean & easy to find. The waitstaff was helpful & friendly. Our waitress was patient as the kids asked a bunch of questions regarding their only decision - what do you want to drink? Lol. When my daughter spilt her sprite on the deck they brought a covered cup for her to walk around with. Once we were done with lunch we spent the majority of our time outside in the 2nd & 3rd decks. They had shade from the upper decks & benches to sit on, or stand at the rail. From the deck we saw dolphins & enjoyed the view. Plenty of history in the district that the narrated shared as we went by. The narrater was entertaining & very informative. He clearly had pride in Savannah. We would do it again, the views of the waterfront were beautiful & the narrater was great. Maybe we would try a sunset cruise next time. Overall, I recommend it, worth doing at least once. It's a view you can't get from land.

Yelp
If you are visiting Savannah, this is a must-do experience. The dinner cruise accommodates a wide range of audiences but is probably best for families or couples celebrating a special occasion, who are not snobbish about food or accommodations. The music was classic rock (fun for all ages), the prime rib was on point, but the table settings, sides and desserts were middle-school cafeteria at best. Ultimately, the combination of super-friendly staff, healthy-pour cocktails and dramatic, gorgeous sunset views on all decks -- totally worth the price of admission.

Yelp
Such a wonderful historic tour. The food was fabulous beyond belief. I'm trying to see how to get it delivered to my home in Florida! Exceptional service. Even the other customers are amazing.

Yelp
So I have to say. This is my second time doing this cruise. I must first say I was looking forward to getting the large drink with the glass. Let me start off by saying it is now plastic. Really not worth the purchase, ESPECIALLY since it was 98% sugar juice. For 42oz I expected to feel a little something. I felt absolutely NOTHING. Do not buy liquor. Get a beer. At least you know you'll get some alcohol. With that being said here are the pros. I highly recommend doing it on a nice day. You'll get great views of the river along with great commentary with history. I'd recommend this for the cruise and NOTHING ELSE. Do not get food or drinks unless you get a beer.

Yelp
The idea is fantastic. This could be an incredible experience worth every penny, but with some serious improvements. The stars I gave are strictly to credit the ability to stand out on the deck and check out the scenery. We made this a great time. We had some awesome people at the tables beside us, making the experience better. So, at the end of it all...we had a blast because we chose to make the absolute best out of what was a really crappy service. The tickets are NOT cheap. Nearly $300 for two people. For that price, there should be more thought, planning, and organization behind the event. Everyone around us was frustrated...WE were frustrated. We didn't even know who our waitress or waiter was until almost 30 minutes into our cruise. And then that would randomly change. Orders were taking forever to get to the guests. Some people were getting their appetizer before their salads and others were getting their appetizer after. We were all looking at one another confused. The guests all started to ban together to remind the waitstaff who ordered what and who wasnt receiving items they had been waiting on. It was chaos from the moment we boarded the river-boat. The food was sub-par and served barely lukewarm. My lobster bisque was served in such a small amount it was more like a taste-testing than an actual appetizer. The singular tiny piece of lobster was so overdone it was rubbery. The chartussierie plate...HAHA...omgoodness...it was literally a single slice of salami, single slice of pepperoni, and single slice prosciutto ham with cubed rubbery warm cheeses and a couple olives. The stuffed chicken...I can't even describe. I don't recall exactly what it was supposed to be stuffed with, but it was horrible. Just disgusting. The chicken was completely dry rendering my main course inedible. The live music (if you can call that singing) was so incredibly loud that we all had to shout to one another at our own tables in an attempt to have a conversation...so, no privacy whatsoever. Not very romantic on any occasion. We all began laughing and joking trying to have fun and make the best of it. You could literally see veins popping out in necks as people were attempting to holler their conversations. The wine...oh man. Lol. It was incredibly bitter, dry, and flat. So, would I recommend? No. I wouldn't. Which really is a shame considering how great the idea of a dinner cruise on a riverboat is. Save your money. Visit The Cotton Exchange off of River Street instead. Their food is hands down SCRUMPTIOUS!

Yelp
Do not waste your money unless you don't care and want to go just to say you went. Food was cold and undercooked, service was horrible-- we had to ask for almost everything. Best part of the meal was the overcooked end of the prime rib and the first warm serving from a fresh pan of peach cobbler brought out at the very end of dinner service. The "entertainment" was some guy playing his playlist from a laptop, and the music was nothing to dance to. The bathroom floors were covered in water and just a slip and fall away from a lawsuit. For the money, they should have offered complimentary pictures and a round of drinks.

Yelp
Our second time to Savannah and chose to do this paddle boat tour on the river Out your guide was exceptional. I learned so many interesting facts about the area Take the 1 pm your so you experience the canon being shot from Fort Jackson.

Yelp
Parking is impossible unless you can scan at parking lot. To visit this attraction you should stay at nearby hotel and take public transportation. I missed the cruise because I could not get parking.

Yelp
We took this cruise during our Savannah vacation. The weather cooperated the food was really good, even for a buffet!!! A lot to choose from. The live music was good & the crowd really got going when they kicked in the dance music. The only thing I would recommend is to have a better controlled arrival. If everyone boards at once, there is an immense rush by the staff to get the bread and salads out immediately. Our server was so busy she was unable to handle the drink orders in a timely manner. On the whole however, she was wonderful and so was the experience. Thank you.

Yelp
Don't do it!! Save the money and walk, you'll see more. On the "boat", You will see a cannon fired after you see some cereal factories and grassland and that's it. The food was so dry and bland, I couldn't believe it. Total my mom and I spent 150 for just the two of us. I felt robbed. The bad reviews are true. Service was ok, he really tried but when I complained about the burnt chicken he brought me a piece that was only 2nd degree burnt as opposed to the 3rd - I'd originally received.... I wish I were joking.

Yelp
The Boat is not glamorous but it floats. Your standard overpriced buffet fair. You can also choose just a boat ride for a cheaper price and take a ride on the 4th level. Live entertainment and a dj with a dance floor were playing on two different floors. Bar service is available.

Yelp
We are writing this review as we are on the boat. Everything was very mediocre. Not at all what we expected. We loaded the boat and then were sat down at our table. We were then given a basket with exactly 2 rolls that were the size of your thumb. The salad was pretty decent. What we didn't know is that the actual food would be a buffet. This was very disappointing. We had potatoes, squash casserole, fish, chicken, and prime rib. That may sound good to you but, the food barely had any flavor. The chicken was hard to chew in some places and the prime rib tasted like roast beef at best. All in all, if you're looking for a good, fun, maybe even romantic place to get dinner with your s/o or family, go anywhere but here. The cost is high and is mainly gonna be for the boat ride. The food is more like cafeteria food than anything else.

Yelp
So, I'm a planner and I prepared an extensive itinerary for this mini vaca. I purchased all excursions weeks ago and planned dining around them. I am also a fine print person. So when I see on your website "sightseeing tour and unch" and I pay for a "sightseeing tour and lunch" I expect a "sightseeing tour and lunch". I do not expect to arrive and learn it will cost me another $40 for lunch. Since we had not eaten breakfast and were very hungry at this point, we ran back outside (with 10-mins to spare before the boat takes off) to get on the ticket line and upgrade to include lunch. Whew, we made it! Now, to lunch. Small buffet with BBQ chix, fried chix and shrimp & grits. I got a fried breast, with shrimp (no grits) and veggies to accompany. I also ordered a drink when seated.. The shrimp was unseasoned and chix was bathed in salt. I passed it to a keith and even he could not get thru it. Our drinks arrived about 10-mins after we were done eating. This dining experience was a bit disappointing and we decide to head to top deck for a little sightseeing. Wait... what... there is food for order up there. Fun food (fries, chix tenders, etc). We would have enjoyed that so much better. All and all, we enjoyed the tour, our guide was very knowledgeable and funny, the weather was breezy and accommodating. If you plan to do this, plan for the tour only and get you food on the top deck. Don't go hungry and get your drinks after you dock. It'll save you cash for souvenirs
