15 Things to Know Before Visiting Bali | Condé Nast Traveler

"To avoid disappointment at busy beach clubs, I suggest booking ahead for spots such as Savaya, which often fill up on weekends and peak times; a reservation secures daybeds or loungers and lets you plan around evening events, since many of these clubs run ticketed DJ nights." - Zahra Surya Darma

An impressive club built on a hillside with breathtaking ocean view, offering a truly unique experience. The sunset combined with the lights and the music creates an unforgettable scenery. The music playing is outstanding, featuring famous international DJs who elevate the night and keep the energy high. A perfect destination for those seeking vibrant afternoon to evening moments, and a unique experience.

We were there during the week. Music was great but actually not sure if it was playlist because one time we hear a commercial sound in the background. Location ist nice. During the week you pay entrance fee as well but there were only around 30-40 people there. If you want to order sth the stuff tell you that you only be able to drink at this table if you book it. During the week they shouldn’t take the entrance fee because it is not worth it.

My time at Savaya Beach Club was honestly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the whole place just felt special, the energy, the music, the view… everything came together perfectly. It’s one of those places where you instantly feel relaxed and welcomed. The team’s hospitality truly stood out. Everyone was so genuine and attentive, and it made the entire experience feel personal. I want to give a heartfelt thank you to Oke, Borris, and Brandon for taking such great care of us. You guys really made the day feel extra memorable, and I appreciate every bit of it. The food was delicious, the space was clean and beautifully maintained, and overall everything felt very well organized. If I could make one small suggestion, it would be to add a few more private showers and dressing rooms, it would just make getting ready a little easier. But honestly, it wasn’t a big deal. I’d also love to see shisha included within the minimum spend, as it would make the experience feel even more complete. From the heart, Savaya has become one of my must visit spots. I’ll be coming back every time I’m in Bali, without a doubt.

I am writing to share a very unpleasant experience I had during my recent visit, which I believe requires your immediate attention. At the entrance, I was met by a woman (not Balinese) who behaved in a very rude and unwelcoming manner. Despite clearly stating that I was on a VIP table, her attitude remained dismissive and unprofessional. This is not the level of hospitality one would expect, especially toward VIP guests. Later, while I was at the VIP table, I briefly approached the DJ booth to greet friends. At that moment, a staff member wearing a red T-shirt aggressively grabbed my arm without any verbal explanation and attempted to push me out of the area. This physical interaction was painful, inappropriate, and deeply upsetting. No staff member should ever touch a guest in such a manner, especially without first communicating calmly and respectfully. This experience made me feel unsafe and disrespected. I strongly urge you to review your staff’s conduct, provide proper training in communication and guest interaction, and ensure that physical force is never used as a first response. I hope you take this feedback seriously, as such behavior damages the reputation of your venue and the overall guest experience.

Such a beautiful club. Loved every single bit about this place. Friendly staff. It was initially raining when we went here, but the whole place was so well organised to cater considering the weather condition as well. Loved the dj and the best part was the food and drink options.. the pizzas are just fab. Cant wait to visit savaya again. 😊🥰

avaya Beach Club is absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, the staff was so professional and welcoming. A very special mention goes to Kendy, the nicest waiter ever, who took such wonderful care of us. We were just two girls, and thanks to Keny and the team, we felt completely safe, comfortable, and truly looked after the whole time. The food was outstanding – so delicious that we honestly couldn’t stop eating! Every dish was prepared perfectly and exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere of the place is simply unbeatable – vibrant, elegant, and with a great energy that makes you never want to leave. Overall, an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend Savaya to anyone looking for great food, great service, and a truly special vibe.

Visually impressive venue with incredible views, but the overall experience was far from what we expected. From all communication, it was strongly implied that guests should arrive early — even as early as 3:00pm for opening — to avoid missing out. Luckily, we arrived much later, around 7:30pm, and even then we still ended up waiting a very long time. Miss Monique didn’t start playing until extremely late, which made it clear that arriving at opening would have meant hours and hours of unnecessary waiting. There was no timetable available at any point, so we spent the evening without any sense of structure or transparency. DJs played before the headliners, but their music didn’t match the advertised vibe of the night at all. Instead of building atmosphere, it felt disconnected and draining. By the time ARTBAT finally came on, we stayed only a few minutes — after such a long wait, we were simply exhausted. The crowd was another part of the experience that didn’t resonate with us. The venue was packed with Instagram influencers and girls dressed as if they were heading to Coachella rather than a melodic techno night. Everyone is the architect of their own evening, of course — but if you’re coming primarily for the music, this atmosphere may feel distracting rather than immersive. Drinks were extremely overpriced and, more importantly, confusingly billed. One drink was listed at 250,000 IDR, but after 7% service charge, 5% venue fee, and 10% government tax, the final price was significantly higher. We were a group of four ordering the same drinks repeatedly, yet the total amount differed by several thousand rupiah each time. The staff was consistently kind and professional — not just the bartenders — but the inconsistent totals made the experience frustrating and unclear. We are scheduled to return on 01.01.2026 for Amelie Lens, and we genuinely hope the experience will be different. That said, based on this visit, we already know we’ll arrive after 11:00pm, as that was roughly the time Miss Monique had only just begun playing. I came for the music and a well-curated journey through the night, not just the view or the social media spectacle. For a venue ranked among the best clubs in Asia, the lack of transparency around set times and pricing is difficult to justify. If you’re going only for the headline act, my advice would be to arrive very late. Otherwise, be prepared for long waits, unclear structure, and an experience that prioritizes image over musical flow

A dream come true 🥰 Such an amazing experience! Went here for post birthday celebrations on a not so busy evening and I’m happy I did! Absolutely enjoyed our time over here, the atmosphere is electric and the sound system, lighting and vibe is 🔥 the staff were cool and helpful. Can’t wait to move to Bali and experience Savaya on a more regular basis 🌟 I recommend if you’re in Bali with friends a table surely makes more sense if you’re drinking or just out to have a fun evening! Also try getting on the guest list to avoid the entrance fee which was about 250k per head just to enter.
