Visually impressive venue with incredible views, but the overall experience was far from what we expected.
From all communication, it was strongly implied that guests should arrive early — even as early as 3:00pm for opening — to avoid missing out. Luckily, we arrived much later, around 7:30pm, and even then we still ended up waiting a very long time. Miss Monique didn’t start playing until extremely late, which made it clear that arriving at opening would have meant hours and hours of unnecessary waiting.
There was no timetable available at any point, so we spent the evening without any sense of structure or transparency. DJs played before the headliners, but their music didn’t match the advertised vibe of the night at all. Instead of building atmosphere, it felt disconnected and draining. By the time ARTBAT finally came on, we stayed only a few minutes — after such a long wait, we were simply exhausted.
The crowd was another part of the experience that didn’t resonate with us. The venue was packed with Instagram influencers and girls dressed as if they were heading to Coachella rather than a melodic techno night. Everyone is the architect of their own evening, of course — but if you’re coming primarily for the music, this atmosphere may feel distracting rather than immersive.
Drinks were extremely overpriced and, more importantly, confusingly billed. One drink was listed at 250,000 IDR, but after 7% service charge, 5% venue fee, and 10% government tax, the final price was significantly higher. We were a group of four ordering the same drinks repeatedly, yet the total amount differed by several thousand rupiah each time. The staff was consistently kind and professional — not just the bartenders — but the inconsistent totals made the experience frustrating and unclear.
We are scheduled to return on 01.01.2026 for Amelie Lens, and we genuinely hope the experience will be different. That said, based on this visit, we already know we’ll arrive after 11:00pm, as that was roughly the time Miss Monique had only just begun playing.
I came for the music and a well-curated journey through the night, not just the view or the social media spectacle. For a venue ranked among the best clubs in Asia, the lack of transparency around set times and pricing is difficult to justify.
If you’re going only for the headline act, my advice would be to arrive very late. Otherwise, be prepared for long waits, unclear structure, and an experience that prioritizes image over musical flow
