The collections are very well organized in a very well maintained museum. It was a surprising discovery in Nukus. Stavitsky is a hero for the Russian and Soviet art. Only a small portion of the 100,000 artifacts he gathered are displayed to the public. Visit could be done in an hour.

The one thing people come to Nukus for. This museum has a very big collection of art from the region, most of it being oil on canvas, which is one of my favourite ways of painting. The museum is nicely structured and there is enough to see for a few hours. I'd recommend going here as part of a tour from Xiva, as I dont think it's worth staying in Nukus for a night to see this museum. Nonetheless, it's definitely worth visiting!

What a true gem of a museum. Absolute fantastic. The two current exhibitions are wonderfully curated and a feast for the eyes and mind. This has been my favorite museum in all of Central Asia. The whole reason I traveled to Nukus was to visit Savitsky and it did not disappoint.

The entrance price for foreign tourist is now 100,000. If you have a bagpack, they will require u to drop it off at the cloak room, free. There wasn't anyone guarding the place so perhaps mindful of valuable or leave it in your hotel perhaps. Guide services was available but listed on price menu. A guide would enhance the visit. Else Art are labelled with artist, year and name. No cafe inside, just a souvenir shop. But there are two cafe across the street.

Amazing collection of not well known Central Asian-Soviet artists. A must see if you are visiting Uzbekistan and if you love art!

A gem hidden in the middle of the inner world Hope more people can come and pay a visit here, to see the masterpieces partying on the wall The only pity is that I really wanna buy some souvenirs, but there are basically no options for visitors at all

Great collection with unique prospective of the region. Library on the ground floor also open from 9-6.
