A very enjoyable experience. My daughter and I had a great time on the short safari and snack excursion. Like the rest of the Disney parks and attractions, it’s hard to say if it was ‘worth’ the almost $200 price tag, however it was a great experience and one we will never forget. It thrills me to know my daughter had a wonderful time and was very thankful. I think if you have the means and want a more private and personal safari experience without going to Africa, I’d recommend going on the Savor the Savanna tour. Started with an introduction of the guide, driver and some background on the zoo designation of Animal Kingdom, as that’s its secondary purpose. Similar to the general Safari attraction ride, passengers ride in a a truck and meander through the habitats. However, the vehicle is much smaller and the dedicated guide provides more insight on the animals and living arrangements. We also had a long stop to see several giraffes and speak with one of the caretakers. Very informative. After about 30 minutes, we had a delicious African themed charcuterie snack with beverages and desert. There was plenty for everyone although I would have liked more time to enjoy myself. The setting overlooking the savanna habitat was beautiful as it was later in the day, however not quite sunset. The tour continued through the attraction and more animals until we arrived back at the unloading dock.

We came on our honeymoon and this experience was SUCH a great idea for couples! They were almost all other couples on the tour with us. We took the 4:30pm one so by the time we were done, the park had closed and it was actually really great being able to snag some pictures on our way out without all the crowds. The evening sun over the savanna landscape with all the animals felt intimate and beautiful. We absolutely LOVED it. The guide was super knowledgeable and kind. He added so much to the experience and was able to answer all of our questions. He seems like he genuinely loves what he does, and that just emanated into the entire vibe of the experience. We did this at the start of our honeymoon which was almost two weeks ago so I regretfully forgot his name, but 6/5 stars for him! I'm also gonna be that "TMI" person in Google reviews and just say it because I'm sure there are people out there wondering (I was) - I have IBS and I was super nervous about doing this tour, but yes, it was fine, I promise! There are bathrooms in the building you stop at, and the 2nd half of the tour is super brief. It didn't end up being an issue for me at all. The beginning part of the tour lasted about 30-40 minutes, but it felt more like 15 because you're so distracted by the animals and scenery around you. After about 20-30ish minutes, we had stopped for about 10 minutes of Q&A with one of the nearby animal keepers. The building with food had fans to help keep us cool, bathrooms, water bottle refill station, great views, great food, and great drinks... or maybe it was the drinks that made everything feel so great? Haha just kidding! After spending about an 1-1.5 hours in the building, the 2nd half of the tour basically takes you straight out and lasted about 10 minutes. The entire experience was amazing and definitely worth the money. I wouldn't really recommend this for children because it seemed more romantic/intimate. Absolutely do this if you're honeymooning at Disney though! It was super cute and fun! We even got the cutest coasters to keep as souvenirs at the end of the tour!

Savor the Savanna was an experience that exceeded expectations! We started by checking in and signing wavers just across from Kilimanjaro Safaris. You board a special truck that is different from the ride vehicle at Kilimanjaro Safaris. You meet with staff that man the Savanna to care for the animals and have a Q & A session about the animals and their job in the park. Our little family does not patronize regular zoos but this place provides ample space and an abundance of care for these animals. Very diverse selection of food from charcuterie type selections to chicken curry. The drinks were limited in selection but nonetheless included in the excursion so we had our fair share. They explain how the funds from the park and experiences like ours help to fund the animals and their enclosures. This is a 10 out of 10 experience including the weather.

My Savor the Savanna Tour was so much fun! On the tour Disney takes you behind the scenes of their safari area and you get to see the sights at a much slower pace allowing you to ask lots of questions. We were gathered into a large car and we were driven to an area with the giraffe out and about. Our guide was so knowledgeable and I learned so many things I never knew. After we asked all our questions we were driven to a large hut in the middle of the savanna where Disney had prepared many different food and drink options. Everything was so tasty. After we enjoyed our food there was a bridge that we walked to a viewing area to see more of the sights. Once we had taken pictures and got our additional questions answered they took us back in our car and completed the tour. At the end we were given a memento to remind us of our fun filled day. I'd highly recommend this experience and look forward to booking it again in the future.

Savor the Savannah provided an absolutely awesome safari tour experience. We were treated to an up-close encounter with a wide variety of animals, making it a truly memorable adventure. From the graceful flamingos to the majestic rhinos, giraffes, lions, elephants, and even emus, the diverse range of wildlife was astounding. The tour was family-friendly, and there was no wait, allowing us to fully indulge in the animal sightings. Our son was captivated and couldn't contain his excitement. The tour guide was incredible, sharing fascinating insights and knowledge throughout the journey, keeping us engaged and entertained. Savor the Savannah was an exceptional experience that exceeded our expectations and left us with unforgettable memories.

Wonderful park with a fun ride in a jeep bus. Animals were pretty lazy and sleeping. Two ostriches blocked the road and wouldn't let the Jeeps pass. The park employees tried to encourage them to move with as little intervention as possible. Rhinoceros were active and came close to our bus.

Saw online that this trip was a bookable experience, and OMG IT US DEFINITELY WORTH IT. Probably the best money we spent on our whole trip. Went on the excursion while my bf & I were away in sep/oct 23. Was amazing to get up so close to these beautiful animals, & learn some of the hard work that the Disney keepers do to keep these animals healthy, the whole trip is beautiful, the view & food up on the boma is amazing especially the deserts, this few hours of beauty will forever hold a very special place in mine & my now fiancée 💍hearts, who proposed in secret while we were up on the boma, he even managed to keep it secret from all the other people that were on our excursion, so not to ruin their experience, the boma really is a beautiful spot that made the proposal even more s & unique, definitely will never be forgotten, we are planning on returning the same date & time next year to celebrate our 1 year engagement.

The tour through the savanna and experience with the animals was not much better that the regular ride. There is a tour in truck with no seat cushions, the regular ride is much more comfortable and has something to hold onto. There was no beer selection at the buffet. The buffet was good but meager. The staff was great, The experience is definitely not worth what is charged. A $100.00 per person would have been a fair price. Do not recommend Savor The Savanna. The Africa Trek Experience is a better value and experience, We will do again. You have to do some walking but the animal experience is better, (the animal interaction could use some improvement) you get a nice water bottle to keep, photos, and an good boxed lunch at the same viewing area as Savor the Savanna. It's more fun and the staff is great.
