I’m giving this place four stars mainly because of the staff. I accidentally left my phone in the restaurant, and to my surprise, they held onto it for me until I called. That was really kind of them—especially considering how things can sometimes go missing quickly in the Philippines. Big points for honesty and helpfulness! The lobby was decent, but once you get off the elevator on your floor, there's no air conditioning in the hallway, so it has a strong sewer smell, which was unpleasant. The room itself was okay—the bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom was typical of many budget hotels in the Philippines: flat floor design with no separation between the shower area and the rest of the bathroom, so everything gets wet, including around the toilet. Location is fine, and the price was definitely affordable. I only stayed one night, so it was manageable. However, if I had known what to expect, I probably would have spent an extra $20 and booked at Belmont Hotel instead.

The rooms were hot and humid. The hallways dark and damp smelling. There is a damp smell everywhere except the lobby area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Many of the common areas felt dirty and worn. The breakfast buffet was fine. It was quiet and the beds comfortable. For the same cost you can travel a few more minutes and get a better room.

My family and I booked two rooms at Savoy Hotel and we loved our stay. It is very close to the airport and walking distance to fast food restaurants, pharmacy, convenience stores, etc. The rooms are clean, although one room had a clogged toilet but they fixed it as soon as we reported it. The pool is not too big but the kids enjoyed. Everyone is so polite and helpful. They granted our request to have an airport view room and complimentary late check out. Thank you so much Savoy Hotel. We will surely book again. :)

Thank you for the comfortable stay. We checked in so that my mother would be comfortable before her long flight. The facilities were clean and relaxing. The location is very convenient because its literally in front of NAIA. ||Shoutout kay Sir Lucas and Sir Leo, the fun pool attendants! Thank you for the excellent customer service.

Google
Its an overnight transit for us going to the airport, location is perfect, it has different options for dining and coffee outside of the hotel. I just hope they have options for bigger beds, bathroom may be tight for a big person, parking is spacious. ‘Didn’t use any of the amenities but I checked the pool and gym and they are really nice. The staff are awesome and helpful. Overall a good experience.

Location 4.5⭐ If you need to be close to the airport, this is ideal since the airport is right across. Although we needed to take a cab because there's no direct footpath to it. Room 4⭐ Room is all right for a night's sleep. Amenities also available (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap). Service 5⭐ Quick check-in and out. Truly ideal for travelling. Amenities 5⭐ Although we haven't tried, they have buffet available. So it's good to have that option. Also has room service and a cafe that's always open, I believe. Value for money is up there, not too pricey for the benefit of being very close to the airport.

I stayed at the Savoy Hotel recently and overall had a good experience. What I liked: The location is very convenient — just a few minutes from the airport, which is perfect if you're traveling or have a layover. The hotel has excellent security, and I felt safe throughout my stay. They provide basic toiletries and the shower setup is decent — simple but functional. What could be improved: I noticed a lingering smoking scent in some areas of the hotel, which was a bit unpleasant. It would be nice if they could freshen up the air in those spots more regularly.

We had a wonderful stay at Savoy Hotel. The place is clean, well maintained, and all the staff are genuinely approachable and accommodating. The location is also very convenient there are plenty of restaurants and stores nearby, all within walking distance. One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing view. Our room faced the airport, and it was such a unique experience to watch the planes take off while the city lights sparkled in the background.A heartfelt thank you to the staff for the thoughtful birthday surprise for my husband. They prepared a sweet and simple setup in our room and even gave him a complimentary slice of cake it was a lovely gesture that truly made our stay feel special.

Yelp
This is a decent hotel to stay in. It was very close to NAIA and you can see the view of Terminal 3 from the room window (as pictured). There is a back door entrance/exit that leads you to the mall where you have a lot of choices where you can eat or just walk around. The staff are friendly. The bathroom situation is very tight. Th door opens in and you have to squeeze yourself to get through. There was drippings of water on the floor surface, I'm not sure where it was coming from. There is a big swimming pool on a lower floor but overlooking from the floor I was staying. The area was quiet and we weren't disturbed during our stay. Overall overnight stay is ok.

Yelp
During my recent trip to Manila, I stayed at Savoy during the last part of my journey. My father was traveling from Bangar, La Union (a 5-hour drive to Manila), and as we had a flight back to Los Angeles, I opted to give this hotel a try due to its reasonable price and 4-star rating. Upon arrival at 4pm, check-in was swift with excellent customer service. I was pleasantly surprised by being upgraded to a deluxe room, 6023, offering additional space and a window behind the TV. However, I did notice that the A/C vent was not very clean, which I didn't think would be an issue. It was also odd that the room seemed to be automatically on, with a key card already inserted? Unfortunately, after visiting the extremely dirty 11th-floor smoking room only a handful of times I was there, I returned to the states and was diagnosed with bronchitis, making it a terrible experience. I recommend the hotel to pay more attention to cleaning their vents and improving ventilation in the tooms and smoking areas. Despite these issues, the hotel had good amenities, with a nice gym (although it was uncomfortably hot on the second day) and a pool that was warmer later in the day. The pool menu was average; I should have probably chosen a burger over the Banh Mi I ordered. The sandwich needed a lot of improvement. The steam room and sauna worked once during my 3-night, 4-day stay. Real estate agents were persistent near the elevator, and I even had a couple of close calls getting stuck in it. The housekeeping staff was friendly, and Mark, who brought ice promptly every night upon request, deserved a tip (even small tips like 50-100php were appreciated). We added the breakfast buffet for $4 per person per day, which was worth it. However, there was a discrepancy in the breakfast charges, my cousins suprised me and booked a couple of rooms; I was told breakfast buffet would be 390php instead was charged 950php. Despite my overall rating of 4 stars, the experience felt more like a 3.5 out of 5. I would still recommend this hotel, but guests should be vigilant about cleanliness issues. I regret not addressing the A/C vent problem and requesting a room change during my stay.

Yelp
We reserved a suite and when we got to our room, it was just a small queen bed room . Called the front desk and tried to explain to them how we reserved but after 2 return calls from front desk, I gave up with their incompetence and we just remained in the room since it's only 1 night before our flight . The restroom in this room was poorly designed as you have to open the door to squeeze into the shower. My other concern is the swimming pool closes at 8 pm which is unusual for a nice hotel. And our room tv is so small. Honestly this room is not worth the money we paid. One good item is it's close to airport but right next to busy streets.

Yelp
Stayed there for a night. Booked through hopper. The room is clean. No cigarrette smell. Bathroom is clean, alrhough shower area is a bit small. For an overnight to be near the airport, the hotel is great. Lots of eating areas around. Watson just atound the corner. There are food stalls as you walk near the hotel.

Yelp
Great location next to MNL, easily reached via foot from terminal 3. There's a bit of street trekking through a McDonald's parking lot, past a gas station, then a block or so next to the road. No problem unless you have a lot of cumbersome luggage. The hotel itself is fine, with a good breakfast buffet. I had a great night's sleep!

Yelp
Editing: Supervisor Audrey is the BEST!! This property is a nice stay, bedrooms are good and the staff is really helpful and welcoming. Our first breakfast experience was a bit chaotic due to a big party sitting next to us and Audrey went out of her way to send dessert and rice cakes to our room as a surprise. We really felt welcomed and very well taken care of. The first day of check-in was a bit tiring because the room wasn't ready way past their check-in time. However, the friendliness of the staff, excellent guest service by Supervisor Audrey, makes staying here a pleasure. It's near Terminal 3 about 10mins drive. Wifi is great, bed is really comfy, rooms clean, room service very helpful, breakfast buffets has a great variety of selection- all the restaurant staff are very friendly and and hospitality air it's best. We'll definitely refer Savoy hotel with other friends. Much great Thanks to Supervisor Audrey for the best guest service!!!

Yelp
Unfortunately my stay here was quite unpleasant. If it wasn't for awesome employees I would've put 1 star. Back door is not clear enough for seniors and only till 8pm. Not to mention the sidewalk is not wheelchair accessible and elderly. When Being checked in, asked for a "quiet room" otherwise you will be placed facing a busy street that has street noise non-stop. Lastly, it seems like getting a general managers email address is prohibited. Because agents are "not allowed" to give to guests. Is this true @MegaWorld ? A guest complaint is an opportunity to better a company service. Complaint means customer is giving you a chance to make it better. Unfortunately, this will be my first and last. Would I recommend it to friends? Sadly...No.

Yelp
unbelievable. Philippine Airlines changes my bookings the day of my flight to Manila. email time stamp is 1am (Singapore). I try to call at 7.28am (Manila time). I had to call 14 times, using three different phone numbers, until someone answered. because I booked online, using Simple Booking, I was told to contact Simple Booking to cancel. Simple Booking is located in Florence Italy, and no one picks up the phone at that time of day (2.30am). there are no simple measures to cancel via simple bookings website or Savoy Manila hotel website. inconvenience. I guess future business is discouraged.

Yelp
Very close to the airport and advertised to have an airport shuttle. A friend recommended because of the shuttle. Earlier this year we stayed and after checking in learned they don't run the shuttle anymore. Don't know if they will bring it back OK room for an affordable stay and great location.

Yelp
A conveniently located traveler's hotel near MNL airport with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Long wait for check-in/help from front desk (15 minutes), yet staff was very kind. Had a room on the 4th floor along Andrews Ave. The noise from the traffic was not too bad, although I found it helpful to run the aircon to muffle the sound. Higher floors probably better. The bathroom ('Essential room') was tight to manage and shower only had warm water (was aware of this from another review). Biggest bummer was on second night the 4th floor smelled of sewage. Covered the gap in the door with a towel to block and ran the aircon on high all night (made for an uncomfortable sleep). Wasn't a great stay but OK in a pinch.

Yelp
* Price: $60-100 USD per night. Not too bad in terms of US standard but may be pricey for locals. 3 star. * Accommodation: 2 free bottles of water, in room fridge, flat screen TV with many American channels, toiletries like shampoo, conditioners, soap, tooth brush, shaving, etc. Gym and pool, onsite restaurant, free shuttle bus to airport, etc. 4 star. * Location: very close to Manila international airport, less than 10 min drive. 4 star. * Motif: modern and chic. 4 star. * Services: very good and pleasant. 4 star. This is averaged to about 4 star. We stayed overnight at hotel Savoy for 1 night layover in Manila before going to Tuguegarao. Our group picked this place because it is conveniently close to the airport and has good rating. They was voted for Best New hotel on tripzilla last year. The hotel lobby is very cute and modern although it is pretty small hotel. The guest room is decent size with small bathroom but clean and well laid out. I did not have time to check out their gym or pool. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. They have free shuttle bus to airport every 30 minutes. You can also get a private sedan for 900 peso or about $10 USD. Our room comes with breakfast. Since our flight is early in the morning, they pack a breakfast box for us. Overall, it is a good place to short stay or layover.

Yelp
On our first night in Manila, we opted to stay at this hotel for several reasons: Reason #1: Location. This hotel is conveniently located in the same area where all the newer condos, shops, Marriott, and Resorts World is located. We were meeting with my family at the casino this time and found that this hotel was going to be within walking proximity to Resorts World. This was also close to the airport, which was great for us since we were getting ready to leave for Bohol the next day. Reason #2: Price. Among all the other hotels in the area, this place had the most reasonable price point for a 3-star hotel. Reason #3: Reviews. I looked at the reviews from numerous hotel sites and found that this had really good ratings amongst other 3-star hotels in the area. This hotel is newer than other 3-star hotels in the area. The customer service was great, and they had a ton of amenities to offer for guests. Some of the amenities included a gym, spa (massage was extra, but about 800 PHP), pool, bathroom toiletries (toothbrush, razor, soap, shampoo/conditioner), restaurant (breakfast was about $19 USD per person). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for decent accomodations and is conveniently located to the airport and casinos. They offer free shuttles to and from Terminal 1 as well!

Yelp
My stay here was pleasant. I arrived late and walked to this hotel from NAIA 3 at 2230. Took about 4-5 minutes. People were trying to grab my carryon luggage and trying to give me a taxi ride. I politely declined pointing to the direction of the hotel saying I didn't need a taxi because my hotel was a few steps away. There's a concrete 10-12 step stairwell you'll need to climb to get to the street where the hotel is. Check in was smooth. I ordered a bulalo for in-room dining. It was the best I've had in a long time. Also called for in-room massage. It only took about 20 minutes before the little masseuse with very strong hands was knocking on my door. I had breakfast at their cafe and opted for a la cart. Buffet was P800 per person and I'm not a pig. Service at the cafe was awful. I suggest dining in the room if you portion control. The breaded bangus I ordered was also awful so don't get that. I tried their tiny little steam room which I'll give 4 stars since this is the Philippines and the steam room actually worked! Not many hotels in this category have steam rooms. Facilities were great--they had an indoor pool too. The sauna kind of took too long to heat up but was already enjoying the steam. I'd come back here.

Yelp
Thanks to my friend, I was able to get a free room for my wife and I. It was our first time at savoy; checking in was easy and the staff was helpful and attentive. Although the rooms are small, the beds were very comfortable. Location is near the airports and close to a lot of shops and restaurants; overall in a safe location for tourists to come. Thank you Savoy and thank you fren! Salamat po

Yelp
I ended up booking my parents here twice. The first one ended up getting cancelled due to the delay from leaving LAX. The second time was the charm. The whole time, the staff were responsive by emailing me. In my book, that's a big plus. My parents flight arrived in Manila super early. To make sure they have a room, I booked them an extra night before. My mom texted me that when they checked in, the hotel didn't charge them for the night before. Wow... I'm glad that even during COVID times, they're understanding and didn't take advantage of my parents. That's golden in my book. My mom also said that it's a nice hotel. I'll definitely consider this hotel next time i fly to the Philippines. It's pricey if you live locally... but if you're from the US and have some funds for lodging, it's okay. Thank you Savoy!!!

Yelp
We stayed here late night to catch an early flight the next morning. We were super surprised at how luxurious it felt. For spending no more than 5 hours there, it was perfect. The beds were very comfortable so we slept quick and cozy. The hallways get very loud and noisy with new guests showing up throughout the night with kids so maybe wear earplugs or listen to white noise to drown it out. Overall, we would and will stay there again for sure!

Yelp
This hotel was a sweet gem! We just needed somewhere to crash for the night for an early morning flight. The customer service was exceptional and the hotel itself was modern and the ambience was relaxing. We arrived at around 10pm and after hours of traveling wanted to get a massage. The spa closed at 10 but the hotel offered in-room massages 24 hr! Definitely a must! These rooms are small but met our need of just a place to sleep. I would say the only hiccup was that the free airport shuttle doesn't go to Terminal 4 but the concierge desk called us a Grab! Proximity to the airport was literally less than 5 mins! Will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
This is an upscale hotel but too noisy at night and, worse still, it is operated by greedy, dishonest, manipulative people. They cheated us by "upselling" and adding unauthorized charges. I am embarrassed that I was too trusting and waited until checkout to review the bill. The hotel offers free breakfast with your stay but charged my wife for hers. Another one of their sneaky tricks is some very small print on an obscure part of the restaurant's menu. It describes a mandatory gratuity so if you don't see it and leave a tip---too bad. Or if you get bad service and don't want to tip or want to tip just a little---too bad. Service is generally slow but waiters were ok. We tried to resolve overcharges at checkout time the morning of our flight back to Seattle---our first chance to see the charges. We saw immediately that we had three unjustified and unauthorized charges, one of which was my wife's breakfast. At $60 it was an absurdly high price for any breakfast. The desk clerk knew we had limited time (about an hour) before having to catch the shuttle so the clerk's supervisor took our dispute to the hotel manager's office. When she returned she began taking an extraordinarily long time to "understand" our description of overcharges. She would ask for more and more explanation of very straightforward issues and then go back to the manager's office for five or ten minutes. This continued, back and forth to the manager's office, until it was time to go. The supervisor said we would not be allowed to board the shuttle until we signed the bill and paid. We were stuck so we signed the bill that was $320 more than was fair and at least $200 more than agreed in writing. We disputed this with our credit card company (Capital One) but the hotel had the bill we signed and Capital One would not take our word for anything. We should have taken a taxi to the airport but after an uncomfortable night (noise) we were tired and not thinking clearly.

Yelp
Our stay in Savoy Hotel with my family and I was very good. Staff and the service here was very impressive... The only thing that was "okay" was the breakfast buffet. I had breakfast at Savoy for 5 days straight and everyday the breakfast was similar. The breakfast choices wasn't that appetizing and it was very limited options.

Yelp
We had a great stay at Savoy. I took my fiancé (who does not speak Tagalog) and he had no difficulty communicating with any of the staff. Everyone was polite and helpful. Our room was ready when we arrived after noon and we were able to board the free shuttle straight from the airport. The hotel also provides a free shuttle to and from the casinos in Newport by the mall (Resort World), which was helpful when we were hungry after midnight and returned back around 3:30am. Our room, an essential with a queen bed, was on the third floor and faced another wall (so the view was very limited and kinda sad). The room was small and what you'd expect if you got a hotel room in New York (enough room for a bed, one accent seat, and a small desk with chair). However, everything was clean and the room felt modern. The doors aren't very sound proof and you definitely hear the noise from the hallways (mostly children running and talking). The a/c worked well and the room requires you to place your card in a slot by the door to power the electricity. Like most hotel rooms I've stayed at in the Philippines, the rooms are quite humid and the sheets feel slightly damn until you've got the a/c running for awhile. Breakfast buffet started at 6am, was yummy, and has your typical Filipino staples.

Yelp
Last night I wrote a positive review on Trip Advisor, but after my experience tonight in the restaurant, I removed the positive review. TA won't allow me to post another review for 90 days, so I'm posting it here. I ordered a Ribeye from the waitress. I waited 25 min (which I knew would be the case). When I received my meal from a waiter, it was tenderloin with fried potatoes. I told him I ordered Ribeye. He actually contradicted me and told me I ordered tenderloin. He wasn't even the one who took my order. I told him I had no way to prove it, but that I did order ribeye. Furthermore, I was supposed to be given a choice of fried or baked potato. I would have ordered the baked potato, but the waitress never asked for my choice. So, I got 2 things on my plate I did not order. Since it took 25 min to get my meal, no way was I going to wait for the ribeye. When the bill came, the waitress asked me how was my meal. I replied it was very good, but wasn't anything I ordered. She simply said "sorry, sir," then wanted me to pay my bill with cc or cash. I told her the previous night I was allowed to charge it to my room and could I do that. She said, "No sir, it's either cash or cc." Then she said, "wait, sir," and went to check. You mean she wasn't trained well enough to already know this and I had to wait for 2 min for her to return? She finally told me I could charge to my room. She brought me a plate of fruit to "make up" for the mistaken order, but I told her I was full and no way could I eat any more. I appreciated the gesture I guess, but what would have been more appropriate was to either dismiss the charge for the meal or offer me a meal on the house next time. In June, when I stayed, the hotel took a full day to wash my clothes and even then, I had to ask where they were. When they brought them to my room, I discovered they were really wet, smelled sour and weren't even folded well at all. Plus, they charged me $45 for one load. That is not a typo. When I complained about that the next day (I was in a hurry at the time and didn't have time to complain at the time), it took the hotel manager about 20 min to go talk to laundry. When he returned, he said hotel policy would only allow to refund half the charged amount. Are you serious? Shame on me for agreeing to it, but I did. Now, the restaurant experience tonight just conjured up my bad experience in June. I'm seriously contemplating not staying here ever again. I like the rooms and the beds, and many of the workers are good. But, there is too much inconsistent service. Half the time, the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. And, I don't even have time to write about the fact that there needs to be more attention to detail...like actually listening to or paying closer attention to the needs of the customer.
