Just back from a really relaxing week at this this lovely hotel. From check in to check out everything was wonderful. We styed in a Superior Ocean room and it was beautiful with a nicely furnished balcony - shame no lounger. We used all the bars and ate at two of the restaurants, the food was good. Night one watching the fireworks from Galaxia was special. |Drinks service could be slow but the majority of staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a delight, lovely outdoor seating and great selection including gluten free options, my husband loved the "show cooking" each morning. Really laid back, luxurious vibe with stunning interiors and exteriors. Sadly there was the usual "bag a sunbed" crew, but given there are plenty of comfortable, non padded ones not really an issue, the pool staff were always friendly and helpful. Hope to go back in September, it's a new favourite. |Nice easy walk to Funchal and some lovely restaurants and bars nearby.

Excelent hotel, all was very clean, new and modern. Very comfortable bed&pilows, very nice bathroom, all 100% functional. But the most impressive was the garden, the flowers and trees. Very nice facilities, all spaces are arranged with taste and very comfotable. A big plus for the sea acces, via Royal Savoy hotel. Quiet and relaxing!|Breakfast good, with enough variety and nice spaces on restaurant outside teraces.

Lovely room. Comfiest beds and pillows. Excellent breakfast (especially good gluten free section). Drinks expensive. You need to be up at 8 to reserve comfy sunbeds but plenty of basic ones all day. Rooftop pool and bar Lovely. Staff all very friendly and helpful

It doesn’t disappoint beautiful rooms, excellent service and in a perfect location. This our 3rd visit and we had a lovely relaxing break will definitely be back again ! Breakfasts are excellent, everything is the best quality and replenished regularly, there is a show cooking area where they prepare omelette or eggs to order. The roof pool area and bar is lovely and tranquil so you can completely relax whilst overlooking Funchal .

Just wow! The hotel is beautiful but it’s the staff who make this hotel very special. The service was fantastic in every area of the hotel everyone is so polite and attentive. My husband was unwell when we arrived as currently going through some cancer treatment the travel just took it out of him more than expected the hotel went above and beyond to make sure his stay was comfortable and even made his special green detox juice every morning to help his recovery, we can’t Thankyou enough for this. We also received a lovely anniversary gift on arrival which was also a wonderful surprise. Food in the hotel was fabulous and hotel is so clean. We may have found our new favourite place and plan to return in August / sept ||Thankyou Claire and Stephen x

After staying at the NEXT hotel (also a Savoy Signature hotel, and also very nice) a couple of years ago, we knew we wanted to try the Savoy Palace when we next returned to Madeira. And honestly this hotel didn’t disappoint! It’s a slice of luxury in Funchal, but without the high end price tag. ||Breakfast was a delight with very fresh produce and friendly staff to welcome you to start your day. We also ate at two of the on-site restaurants, Pau de Lume and Terreiro, and had wonderful meals. ||The hotel itself is stunning and wonderfully landscaped. We went in June and the pools were relatively lukewarm, though on a sunny day they were pleasant to swim in. And perfect for a post-hike dip after exploring this stunning island.||I would definitely choose to stay here again when we return to Funchal (sorry NEXT hotel!!). 10/10.
