Sav’s Gourmet Ice Cream

So excited for Sav and his delicious ice cream to be back! Be sure to try the Bessop flavor (hibiscus) 🍦

On June 22, 2024 we ordered the Bourbon Ball and the Chocolate Raspberry. I believe this ice cream is the best I’ve ever had and will change my life for the better. This was an experience that I’ve never had before, and would highly encourage anyone to try if you live in Lexington, or are visiting. Additionally, if I could select one best overall restaurant owner I’ve had the fortune to meet during my lifetime, Sav is the number one undisputed best person, with the absolute friendliest, cleanest, best priced and overall most welcoming atmosphere. I’ve been a fan of Sav’s Grille, Sav’s Chill, and now Sav’s Gourmet Ice Cream. Every single endeavor of his has been the best eating experience I’ve ever had. Please stop what you are doing, immediately and buy some ice cream, and a T-Shirt. My only regret is that I cannot rate this a 100/5 stars and I am limited to awarding this restaurant 5 stars, which is a disservice to accuracy. Thanks for reading, Thomas J.

I highly recommend Sav's Ice Cream! It's the best ice cream I've had in town by a long shot. He has interesting, unique, delicious flavors like coffee & KY bourbon or lavender! I also love that he doesn't use plastic spoons (save the earth). Lastly, Sav himself is so friendly, kind, and a fun person to talk to! 10/10 all around.

I love Sav’s!! He has my favorite flavors of ice cream in town: Chocolate Raspberry, Butter Pecan, Mint Chip, & Strawberry. I can’t wait to try more.

Fabulous indie ice cream shop, the owner says makes all the ice cream in-house and you can tell the quality is there. I sampled two flavors that were both very good but the pistachio just blew me away. It was perfect; creamy, perfect level of sweetness and flavor intensity - the best pistachio ice cream I've ever had. Friends sampled and enjoyed many other flavors and they all were very happy with their choices. It's not cheap but the quality is there and if you, like me, appreciate good ice cream you should stop in and give it a try.

The new incarnation of Sav's Chill has easy access, parking and outside tables. I stopped by for an afternoon snack. Tasted the lavender, but wasn't fond of it. Had the coffee with bourbon. Needed more bourbon, but still tasty. NOTE: Keeneland sells Sav's ice cream. 2nd floor. 96

Maybe competing for my favorite spots and perhaps amongst the best ice cream in the area. Starting with what's most important, the ice cream, it is incredibly delectable and packed with flavor. The flavor is balanced extremely well, it is sweet yet not overly done. The texture is perfect, incredibly creamy and the mix ins are done very well, it is little things that make all the difference like the perfectly toasted pecans being ground in the butter, pecan ice cream. The flavor combinations available span classics, as well as some more creative and unique flavors, yet all are top-tier. The service was super friendly and prompt, and the pricing was fair. The interior is cute and offers a decent amount of seating for a groups small and large (there's also seating available outside). Would highly highly recommend and will definitely be returning
