I just stayed at this hotel for the first time and it was a great experience! The second day we were there we met Julia (and her fabulous dog Barney) and I cannot say enough good things about her. We started looking forward to seeing her every morning because she was always pleasant, professional, and very knowledgeable about the property as well as the area. She was a true delight!

June 2025: Very large hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. The digital clock near the bed seemed to be making static noise, so I unplugged it. I had a view overlooking the lake and a grassy area with some games in it and partial view of the pool. It was pretty calm outside. Valet was easy and available at later hours (10pm). Why is though that even though I had a 12pm checkout confirmed, housekeeping came around at 9:30am for check out and then again at 11:30am for check out? I didn’t love that as I was working from the room.

Really outdated rooms and no sense of customer service. Upgrades are non existent for some reason (titanium elite) NO MICROWAVES in the 2 double villas. No freezer compartment in the small mini fridge. Carpet is from the 70s. TV was broken and had to be replaced at 7pm. AC regularly broken or non existent. Big bugs if you are in the villas. Continually having issues every time I stay!! This is just 1 stay, I have more issues from January but I'll stop here!!

The spa is fantastic. It has a nice secluded pool with a hottub and snack bar. The changing rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and the price is reasonable. If you're lucky, you may spot a rabbit in the pool area.

Once upon a time this was the place to stay in Ponte Vedra and I had done so many times. Now the hotel rooms are very outdated, have a bad smell and dirty. This was the case when I stayed last year but I figured I’d give them another shot. Big mistake - it’s even worse. When we arrived people were complaining at the front desk about their rooms and making switches. That should have been a red flag.||||This time our anniversary was completely wrecked and we actually had to leave. Our room had a horrid smell - we didn’t know if it was sewage, gas but we couldn’t breathe. We felt certain it was in the ventilation - possibly in the bathroom (which looks like a college dorm room). It was also dirty and the dark wood work worn and chipped.||||The hotel front desk indicated we couldn’t be moved until someone came up to verify and try to fix it. Housekeeping came with a bucket of soap and water he threw in the sinks and toilet. He then agreed there was a serious issue. Hotel management tried to accommodate by moving us to what they said was the last room in the hotel available. It was a double bed instead of a king, tiny, smelled of mildew (maybe mold?), broken refrigerator and shelves missing. Probably why it was the last one available (which I doubt).||||Given there were no more rooms we had to leave. On our way out another person staying asked if we were leaving from troubles with the room. He told us he had huge problems with a smell in his room and had to be moved. His new room also smelled and was dirty but he lived too far to leave. I truly believe there was a larger issue but given the full capacity management had to cover it up.||||So much for our anniversary - we lost out on golf for my husband, a spa day for me and what should have been a special stay. Instead we were driving home at midnight, highly disappointed. ||||What else should you know?||||Property itself outside is beautiful. Golf courses obviously top caliber. ||||Personnel - most friendly but they are way understaffed. The manager actually had to help us move luggage between rooms and when we had to leave. We have no issues moving luggage - it’s custom at a Residence Inn or Comfort Inn, you’d hope that wouldn’t be the case at what is supposed to be a top rated resort. ||||Everything else - find another hotel. Jax Beach isn’t too far away.||||With such a beautiful property and world famous golf course you’d think Marriott would do a sorely needed renovation as this place should and could be a gold mine. I’m saddened by how dilapidated the rooms have become and hope they will take action given so many other reviews are similar to mine.

The amenities were awesome! Being able to take a shuttle to the beach is great. Sad some of the restaurants were closed and the hotel rooms and room hallway needs updating/refreshing so badly! Multiple people were complaining of black model and our AC unit was leaking in our room.

We recently stayed at the Marriott Ponte Vedra Villas and were extremely disappointed with our experience. The villa we were placed in was located far from the main building, with no safe or convenient walkway—especially concerning for families with children. The building itself felt old and poorly maintained. There was visible construction debris right outside our door, and inside the room we encountered bugs, stained furniture, and a persistent moldy smell. The porch was dirty, with spiderwebs everywhere, making it completely unusable. To make matters worse, when we asked for help from valet to assist with our luggage during the rain, the response was a flat “well, it’s raining, I can’t.” This level of service was unacceptable. The most alarming issue was when my young son discovered a sharp needle hidden in the couch cushion. That was the final straw. I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others. This property is not safe, not clean, and certainly not representative of what guests should expect from a Marriott. Stay away.

This is a nice hotel. I stayed at a conference rate, but I doubt I’d stay here given their normal rack rate. ||Couple good places to eat on the property and also a Starbucks. A couple of shops to purchase clothing including golf apparel.||Several restaurants within walking distance and another that a free shuttle will take you to on the shore. A private beach is also available. ||Wi-fi in both the room and the conference rooms worked well. Meeting room acoustics were good. The temperature were on the chilly side, the thermostat said it was 66F.||Breakfast, lunch and snacks were all good.
