Sawpit Bay Motel & Cabins

Amazing stay. Cottages are beautifully. Decorated. Very clean. They have everything you need. Comfy bed, cute sitting room, georgous deck, towels, lovely kitchenette. The owners are really nice and accommodating. Highly recommend in this wonderful space.

My spouse stays here when he is working, he loves it! He travels all across Canada but he says Saw Pit is the best for being clean, welcoming and comfortable always his go to when he is working in the area

Room was very clean, had everything we needed for the 2 days we stayed. The bed was comfortable, and there was lots of space for us. This little motel is conveniently located, and a great value for the price. The owners were super friendly and the surrounding area is beautiful. Only complaint; the shower was a bit small. That being said, we would come back! Definitely would reccomend to anyone looking for accommodations in the area.

Great clean, no frills type rooms, friendly accommodating staff and the multiple beaches across the road are amazing! We really appreciated the clean showers and the fresh smelling sheets on the beds. Our two chihuahuas loved the large mowed fields to walk and play fetch in. 5 stars definitely recommend.

The last hotel for 100 kms heading west. Rooms are clean. No frills, no TV, no wifi, but hot shower comfortable clean bed. Microwave and fridge. And beach acces just across the road. The owner is cool and he'll get an interesting conversacion any chance. Great accessibility and parking. Needs more rooms. Ask for more toiletries if missing.

The owner is inconsiderate. They gave away one of our rooms. Four of us arrived at midnight. We were exhausted after travel more than 7 hours from Thunder B . Right in the afternoon, we told them we are coming but will be late reaching around 8 or 9 pm but we were late as we were fishing in the White lake, Mobert. Phone reception is poor or no service most of the time along highway 17 and we never received the owner call which she claimed she called us. No matter what reason, they could have just charged us the credit card if we don't show up instead of giving our room away. The owner just asked us to go to Sault St Marie without showing any regret of her act.

Most amazing place to stay on Hwy 17 N. I have stayed here numerous times in the Motel and Cabins. Extremely clean beautiful place and very friendly owners. The have wildlife and nature pictures from the area hanging in the rooms and cabins. In the cabins they have everything you need to prepare your food, they also have BBQ'S they let you use. Pet friendly as well. Very reasonably priced. I can't wait to return. Also have available camping spots..some with jydro included.

Really liked the place. Clean spacious rooms, walking distance to the beach, 15 min drive to Lake Superior National Park. Fridge and microwave in the room. Can't beat the price. Photos from nearby hike.
