"Sazonis a closely held local secret, cherished for its home-style cuisine as well as for the rich hot chocolate it serves. (Some even claimdrinking the pure, thick stuffelicits an almost out-of-body experience.) Sazonfeatures a full menu of drinking-chocolate choices. The blend called El Azteca is made from pure Mexican cacao and infused with fivechili peppers, blue corn, agave, achiote, and cinnamon. The Calabaza King is crafted from chocolate, fresh pumpkin, pecan, nutmeg, cardamom, and cinnamon, then topped with pumpkin cream. If you are interested in solid food, Sazon serves Venezuelan cuisine: empanadas and arepas (authentic corn-flour patties) that are whipped up fresh daily. The extensive menu includes many vegetarian options as well."

Visited this place after my wife found it looking for gluten free options in Philly. It did not disappoint. Everything on the menu is amazing. Portions are large. Save room for dessert. Celiac friendly. Can't wait to visit again... You feel like family walking in...

This is a small family owned restaurant. The arepas were really good. The menu has many options to accommodate all sorts of food allergies. I was disappointed by the hot chocolate. I’m sure it tastes great for others, but was too astringent for my taste.

Food is Delicious! Service was friendly and fast. Great variety on the menu, looking forward to returning soon to try more dishes. Parking wasn't bad, but it was a Sunday evening.

Very authentic Venezuelan restaurant in philly. Their tequenos, which are like mozzarella sticks, are the best thing ever. The staff is very friendly and helped us with the menu. They have this white juice that was like pineapple and pear type of fruit which was amazing. Highly recommend coming to this place

Food is fantastic, 100% gluten free, vegan options, and the best chocolate in town. Hands down.

I had the pleasure of stumbling upon Sazon and I am going to be leaving satisfied and wishing I could bring Sazon home with me. Pictured: Arepa, La Peluda and the Clasico drinking chocolate

The arepas (corn patties) are more filling than I thought! My friend got the Reina Pepiada and I got the Mechado. So tender and juicy, I like that it felt lighter than regular bread.
