Scalini - Italian Restaurant Dubai

Nice place which lack a bit of charm, with a correct to good food, nothing wow except maybe the quality of the beluga caviar. We took octopus-potatoes salad, it was just correct and a tuna tatare; this one was below average compared to the numerous ones I tasted. Our main dishes were pastas, one with sea urching-prawns and one with caviar (a lot.. 30g if I remember) with a lemon base sauce. The pasta themselve were excellent, the urching sauce was not very delicate, good only. The caviar /lemon sauce was also not very delicate. Lemon sauce was far too strong, not masterizing this excellent caviar. The end results was quite deceptive versus some marketing ingredients. Let's talk quickly of the service... horrible, ask for advice and you will have a waiter rushing to give you miserably the list of available dishes, no passion, limited knowledge, go elsewhere if you want a relax atoisphere... at the end the waiters just presents you the whole menu... no interest. What about drinks? A cup of champagne tattainger @ 240aed.. is the more pricey by far even compared to the star michelin restaurant I've been to in Dubai, Singapore, France, etc.. You can't even see the server pouring the champagne in your cup, they bring you the glasses already filled! Never saw that! After we took a "scalini" labelled chardonay from Toscana (white wine) at 110-115 aed/glass. I recognize that this one was of quality for the price, a good surprise. Overall, I paid for 2 a bill of 2,200 aed... does not worst it for a 3.5/5 restaurant (in the ranking of a +/- 1,100 aed bill per person)... ... but make your own judgement! The pasta was yummy and the spaghetti even better! Nutella with cheesecake—was amazing!! Service was amazing and they clapped for my daughter for her graduation 🎓 The vibe there is just perfect, totally recommend it to everyone. The pizza was okay.

Great location for a Nice casual to formal meeting. Staff are knowledgeable and attentive. Food is of course of great quality. It was a little sad because the tiramisu was not there when we asked for it. But the creme bruelle more than made up for it.

Scalini Italian Ristorante – Four Seasons Restaurant Village, Dubai Dining at Scalini last night was nothing short of spectacular. Tucked discreetly in the basement of the Four Seasons Restaurant Village, Scalini immediately transports you to a charming trattoria somewhere in the heart of Italy. The moment you step out of the lift, you’re greeted by an atmosphere brimming with charisma, warmth, and authentic Italian charm. Although it had been nearly a year since my last visit, the staff welcomed me like a regular, elegant, attentive, and effortlessly professional. I was greeted by name and promptly escorted to our table, and even before I had the chance to order, they brought over a premium tequila they remembered I enjoyed. That level of attentiveness is rare, and it sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. The menu is extensive, brimming with incredible options, and our waiter, refined and well-versed, graciously walked us through some of Scalini’s most beloved dishes. We began with a beautifully prepared carpaccio, crafted tableside and dressed to perfection. This was followed by a divine ravioli served in a creamy mushroom and truffle sauce silky, rich, and utterly satisfying. As a surprise touch, the team placed zucchini chips on the table—light, crispy on the outside, soft within, and far from oily. A delightful addition I hadn’t tried before. Next came the lobster cocktail with a side of avocado one of the restaurant’s signatures and a standout dish by every measure. For the main course, we shared a one-kilo salt-baked sea bass, my preferred preparation and, without question, the finest rendition I’ve ever tasted. Moist, tender, and delicately flavoured, the fish was filleted with great care, served with nearly no bones, and truly showcased the kitchen’s craftsmanship. Throughout the evening, Salvatore Capone, the restaurant’s manager, made sure we were well taken care of. His presence was both discreet and on point, it’s clear that his leadership is reflected in a team that is polished, passionate, and genuinely committed to delivering an outstanding dining experience. In every respect from service to setting, Scalini delivered an evening of Italian hospitality at its very best. We couldn’t fault a single element of the night. It was, quite simply, divine and we’re deeply grateful for the care and excellence shown to us.

One of the best Italian spots in Dubai. Authentic flavours, beautiful ambience & amazing service. Definitely recommend dining here, especially for a special occasion. My wife took me to celebrate my birthday so they sang happy birthday in Italian while serving dessert too which was a nice touch.

It’s a really great place with delicious food and a charming Italian atmosphere. We come here from time to time to enjoy a nice meal, and we always recommend trying the truffle pasta—it’s our favorite! The only consistent disappointment is the cleanliness of the toilets, which could definitely be improved. Also, the tables are very narrow. Last time, we requested a bigger table, but the request was denied—even though the table we asked for stayed empty the entire evening. We understand the need to maximize seating since it’s a very popular spot, but it would be nice if small requests like that could be accommodated from time to time.

Excellent food and service. Very well prepared. Better than all the food we’ve eaten in Italy. Except the banana gelato had some ice crystals in it.
