Scamander Beach Resort

Husband and I stayed in the King room and had a really nice stay. Really comfy bed, fantastic shower, super clean and quiet, the lady at reception was wonderful, happy and friendly. We walked across the rd to the beach and cafe for breakfast. It was a lovely stay, Thank you.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The room was comfortable and clean and the location across the road from the beach made for beautiful views of the sunrise each morning! Bistro was nice and food was good - the second night I ate there the food took a while to come out but the staff were lovely and apologetic and the food was hot and fresh when it arrived. Have to give a special thanks to the team as well as I had to change my booking last minute due to getting snowed in at Cradle, and they were so helpful and accommodating which was hugely appreciated.

Great spot for our stay for a couple of nights, view was beautiful, room was suitable for our needs. We had a few meals while we were there.. the chicken pizza for tea...oh my gosh it was delicious! The steak was very nice along with the lamb roast. Customer service was great!

Spent the most wonderful 2 nights at the resort. The location is absolutely beautiful and the staff are so incredibly friendly and sweet! From the very beginning to the very end the whole family enjoyed our stay. The rooms were lovely with amazing views and the family rooms had great access straight out to the play equipment for the kids. The meals were absolutely delicious and fantastic sizes aswell. Barb at reception and all the staff from house keepers to the kitchen and bar staff are absolute gems! One of the most amazing places i’ve ever stayed in Tasmania! We will definitely be back!

Was upgraded to a room with great view of water. It was lovely staying here. Wednesday parmi special is absolutely perfect. Portion was generous and yum! Restaurant and bar was very much alive even we are coming in the off season. Overall it was a great stay.

Myself and some friends decided to have lunch here with our children. The location is lovely and we were discussing making lunch here a regular thing. Unfortunately the food took 45 minutes to arrive despite us being the only group eating at the hotel at the time. Some of the meals were cold when they arrived. Then when we were leaving (carrying our small children) seagulls started to steal leftovers from our table outside on the balcony. A staff member stormed out and began clearing the table, my friend spoke to her child about the birds taking food from the table and the staff member rudely and agressively commented 'Well, what do you expect when you leave it out here? You are literally going inside.' Insinuating, I assume, that he expected us to clear our own table. Something that I have never experienced at a table service venue. He also muttered other profanities towards us under his breath. 0 stars, would not recommend, definitely not worth the price when accompanied by verbal abuse and poor service.

Just returned from a one night stay . We were a group of nine.( 6 rooms) Dinner was had in the resort dining room. Excellent value. Staff were fantastic and genuinely seemed invested in the place. Food was great. Really impressed and keen for the next stay.

Great spot and service. Probably the most expensive drinks we've found in Tassie, (mainland prices). Food is well priced and lovely. Pool table operated electronically o you can swipe a card rather than have coins, great idea.
