Excellent hotel in this category. Very welcoming staff. Lobby is warm and well decorated. Rooms are well designed and has all what's needed for a business traveller (just maybe lacking of TV channels). Good breakfast (and they were flexible enough to prepare it for me on my (early) departure day before restaurant operating hours, at the lobby). Very nice rooftop bar. Good gym. Perfect location. Honestly I only have positive comments to make.

My wife and I visited Stockholm on a four nights week end in October. At our previous visit in June 2022, we chose Scandic Continental as our "base camp".|We came by train from Oslo, Norway, and the hotel is located opposite the Stockholm Central station across the street. There is a taxi station outside the hotel and the T-bane (Underground station) more or less in the same building. Many of the attractions in Stockholm (Gamla Stan, Hötorget and Storkyrkan andthe castle are located within walking distance from the hotel. It is also close to the shopping street, Drottninggatan.||We were given a very nice room at the 12th floor, with an excellent view over the beautiful city. The room was very quiet, and quite close to the lifts.||Breakfast was very good with plenty of dishes, both for adults and for children. One of the mornings it was quite crowded when we came down to eat, and we had to wait a little to be served, but the other days it worked out very well.||The staff both in the breakfast department and in the lobby were very friendly, polite and helpful. ||When we checked out, we asked for a copy of a book which lay in the room, describing the process when transforming this part of Stockholm and the Scandic Continental into the current status, filled will pictures of the process. There were also some pictures in the book showing the former hotel building, where we also stayed on previos visits about 15-20 years ago. ||The friendly woman in the lobby immediately came up with a copy of the book, which we were given as a gift, free of charge. Thanks so much.||We will definitely recommend this hotel to others who are looking for a place to stay when visiting Stockholm. And we have also decided: Whenever this will be, we shall stay at Scandic Continental again.||Henry J Grindheim|Asker, |Norway

Kept awake every night by the 8th-floor bar – very disappointing stay||I stayed at Scandic Continental expecting a comfortable and relaxing visit, but unfortunately the noise levels from the 8th-floor bar made that impossible. My room was directly above the bar, and the music played loudly until midnight every single night – including weeknights. Even with earplugs, I could clearly hear the bass and chatter through the ceiling.||It was incredibly frustrating to try to sleep after long days in the city, only to be kept awake by a hotel-run venue. For a hotel of this standard, I expected far better soundproofing or at least enforcement of quieter hours during the week.||The location is great and the staff were friendly, but the constant late-night noise overshadowed everything else. If you’re a light sleeper or need rest before early mornings, I’d strongly recommend requesting a room far away from the bar – or considering another hotel entirely.

I'm staying in a Windowless room, it's strange if you are not used to it but it's quiet and restful so no problem there. My main issue is the lack of storage space to unpack. No drawers...

Stayed here for the first time in 5 years. Rooms are great. Breakfast is fantastic. Staff is fantastic! And you can't get more central in downtown Stockholm. Only negative (very minor) is the elevators can have long wait times, (and usually when I was in a rush) It annoyed me 5years ago, and still is bad during peak times of the day .

Perfect location! Easy access to the trains. Enjoyed the gym and the sauna. A/C can be a bit colder, but that’s all over Europe It seems.

We took the night train in to Stockholm and had a free breakfast voucher at the hotel as part of the train ticket. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful assortment of food and drinks. The staff was very helpful with our questions and helped us find a place to store our luggage while we toured the city. 5-Star experience 100%.

Google
Dirty rooms and the wear is showing. Breakfast is really a letdown. Sadly the warm this is cold och the cold is warm. and the price is high so there shouldn't be any issues. ||The beds are hard and small and some weird issues with the AC... swinging from warm to cold. ||||We had 2 rooms and both had the same issues, in the bathroom the trash wasn't changed and it wasn't fresh, tops and menstrual pads in it and the cleaning was clearly not important. ||||Won't go back.

Yelp
There are many more pros than cons. But before I go further - pardon me for yelling - DO NOT USE THE HOTEL'S LAUNDRY SERVICE. They farm it out and it's a total rip-off. I used it twice, just wash and dry, nothing fancy, maybe 1/2 washer full. IT COST NEARLY US $189. I looked for a self-service laundromat somewhere nearby but couldn't find one. Bring stuff you can wash out in the sink! The pros: -Excellent location; across the street from Central Station and Arlanda Express, you can access the T-bana from the hotel lobby, many buses and trams stop within a few minutes of walking, many restaurants, department stores, grocery stores, convenience stores, a pharmacy, and other shops -Close enough to walk to many tourist spots -Quiet in rooms; I barely heard anything from other rooms, the hallway, or outside -Comfortable beds - not too hard or soft -Tasty breakfast; not a huge selection, but plenty for all types of diets -Sun deck area with great views, lots of seating, and even some exercise equipment -Rooms with and without windows (the latter are handy during the midnight sun) -Great staff -Good quality toiletries (hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, bath soap) -Electric kettle in room The cons: -No refrigerators in rooms, a big minus for me -No washers and dryers, and no self-service laundromat anywhere near. Again, DO NOT USE THE LAUNDRY SERVICE THEY PROVIDE -During most of the days I was there, the breakfast space was inadequate for the number of people. On weekends, the hours are extended, so it's not often an issue. But on weekdays, when service ends at 9:30 am, you can barely move, let alone find a seat. Today was impossible; I ended up eating my formerly hot breakfast in my room -No eating or drinking on the sun deck area, which I understand but is also a bummer -Not many TV channels -Some maintenance issues in the room, including a drape that doesn't close all the way, a burnt-out bathroom light that makes putting on makeup difficult, and a HVAC system that only blows cool or cold air, no matter how much I adjust it -Not enough maintenance staff to fix these things quickly -Water leaks onto the bathroom floor at the bottom of the shower; it's a design flaw As I mentioned, the pros do outweigh the cons, which are mostly minor issues. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
This hotel is right across the street from Central Station. It is centrally located to most of the tourist sites (within walking distance). The T station and the beginning of #7 tram are right next to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff very professional and friendly. The room was not big but well appointed and clean. We would recommend anyone to stay here.

Yelp
I can't say enough great things about this hotel, and if you don't know where else to stay in Stockholm, I would book this place in a heartbeat for the reasons stated herein: The staff on check-in was Very accommodating on getting me the best room possible for my pre-paid category I appreciate their efforts greatly. I loved the room! It made my trip! Their breakfast (included in my room stay) was the absolute best. They had everything on the Friday AM breakfast and high quality including Smoked Salmon (LOX), hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, fresh squeezed OJ, melons, grains, cereals, many different breads, all kinds of soy and rice drinks, and a bunch of the unhealthy stuff like bacon. I spent an hour eating here. On Saturday, the breakfast fell apart for me when I found out that there is no Smoked Salmon served on weekends. Smoked Salmon is key to a successful breakfast--I was floored. Bring back the Salmon. The Hotel in literally across the street from the Main Stockholm train station. You take the 175 MPH Arlanda Express from the airport and in 18 minutes you walk across the street to this hotel and you are ready to go! You walk across the street to the Arlanda Express and take it back to the Airport--you will not have an easier airport to big city hotel experience ever. I took the train from Copenhagen. I got off the train and walked across the street and was in the hotel. If you are a tourist, sign up for the Red Sightseeing Hop-on, Hop-Off bus--the pick up and drop off is right in front of the Hotel! There is a 24-hour drug store staffed with knowledgeable pharmacists (which unfortunately I had to use) right in front of the Hotel! There is Starbucks right in front of the Hotel if you are going through withdrawal. There is a lobby bar and lobby coffee shop in this Hotel you can sit and relax and watch all the street action. On the roof of this hotel is one of the most popular outdoor/indoor incredible city view bars--I went up there--very popular with locals. They have music, food, dancing sometimes. You don't need to leave the hotel to find fun. The locals come here. The rooms are sound-proof--you will not hear a thing. I was in the main street facing the train-station, entrance, busy street--heard nothing. The room was well prepared, clean, super comfortable bed. They also have a sit down restaurant for lunch and dinner I did not use but the menu looked good. When I ordered extra towels--they came up Fast each time. They speak English here. They easily and safely held my suitcase all day on my last day late train to the airport. At breakfast I talked with a bunch of folks--Attorneys and Business people stay here (M to F), People waiting to start a cruise stay here, and land tourists like me. You easily walk to Old Town after you check in, walk the cobble-stoned streets and have a Swedish Meatball dinner to start your trip. I could have stayed here a week--I would return here next time I am back in Stockholm without looking at any other hotels. My highest rating. Thank you everyone here again for making my trip the best.

Yelp
Great hotel stay. Was a very central location which made it easy to navigate our pre-cruise stay. Hotel was fashionable and staff was friendly. Rooms are European size but worked for us. Hotel was clean.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel. Nice people. Amazing breakfast. Beds are really comfortable. Convenient location. I enjoyed my stay for sure. Just one negative. And it's kind of a big deal if you find yourself on the 7th floor. For some reason, they put a bar/club on the 8th floor. Directy above some rooms. Not well thought out. From about 6:30pm and sometimes up to 4am, I could hear high heels stomping above, stools moving across the hardwood floor and bass thumping throughout the night. I didn't complain about it to staff because I use ear plugs or white noise to drown out noises at night anyway, but I can see how this could be very annoying to many visitors. May I suggest that the rooms directly below the bar be notified prior and be given ear plugs or a white noise machine to hide the noise from above. And tape some felt or something to the bottom of chairs and stools and anything else that gets dragged across the hardwood floor to help dampen the noise. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and would come back again. Just ask to be on any floor but 7.

Yelp
This review just covers the rooftop bar. I have been there on numerous occasions and it has always been a pleasant experience. The outdoor area on the roof is great and provides a nice vantage point for overlooking parts of the stockholm skyline. The cocktails themselves are usually excellently done, and the bartenders are usually knowledgeable and nice. They had no problems whipping up a The Last Word cocktail for me even though it isn't on the menu. It will naturally be crowded on peak hours, but otherwise you will always have enough space and a relaxing experience.

Yelp
The Hotel is Nice and all but the ventilation is pretty poor. After being out for breakfast for an hour the air was still stale. At least three is a seemingly working thermostat. Window doesn't open which prevents manually airing out the room. The breakfast is what you can expect from a decent hotel, nothing extraordinary

Yelp
Best hotel food I've ever had! Honestly! The staff is very attentive and friendly. Once I had a strawberry basil sorbet for dessert after dinner and I couldn't define one of the tastes. I just couldn't figure it out so I asked the waitress and she had the chef come out and tell me all about the dish and how it was made! They are very attentive and I really enjoy dining there when I am away from home! They do a half chicken that will blow you away for dinner! It's perfect in every since of the word! Crispy chicken, well seasoned potatoes and a béarnaise that flatters the dish in every sense of the word. Breakfast here is amazing also! Over 100 options- cold hot sweet salty buttery healthy fattening! They've got it all! They even cross cultures with baked beans for the Brits and sandwiches for the Swedes. The buffet includes a sampling of the Swedish norms which is perfect if you want to try the caviar in a tube, pickled herring, or Swedish meatballs.

Yelp
A new hotel right in the very centre of Stockholm. The building is both apartments, hotel, restaurant and bar so it pretty much covers any need. Havent tried their food, but i their bar upstairs is magnificent. With a great terrace and cool atmosphere you cant go wrong here. When you also overlooking Stockholms town hall from either inside or outside, you just got a city tour for free. Go here and grab a few drinks, enjoy the upscale atmosphere with some great cocktails. When you get tired of it, you can just walk to anywhere, since you are more or less right in the middle of Stockholm. Summertime or wintertime doesnt matter, just try it!

Yelp
I would honestly stay here again just for the breakfast buffet. Hands down one of the best. I haven't had bacon that delicious in so long. The staff is über friendly, helpful and understanding. The rooftop bar is gorgeous and the drinks are absolutely amazing. The location is very central, close to the train station and also the airport shuttle. I 110% recommend.

Yelp
Heating system was not working and we called several times to get it fixed but nobody seemed to believe us. Each time they came up with different excuses (one of them was that it depends on the weather outside?!) finally the second day they sent a technician that told us it was installed wrong and fixed it. The rest of the stay was great, breakfast buffet was amazing with plenty of options!

Yelp
Good long week end in a brand new hotel. Nice view at the lounge bar terrace. Close to Arlanda express terminal.

Geert V.

Yelp
Overall bad experience. Roof top terrace at Scandic Continental is not good. Broken coffee machine, milk was 9 days overdue (almost turned into yoghurt). Coffee served was hours old. Service very poor. Not recommended.
