Scandic Continental

We took the night train in to Stockholm and had a free breakfast voucher at the hotel as part of the train ticket. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful assortment of food and drinks. The staff was very helpful with our questions and helped us find a place to store our luggage while we toured the city. 5-Star experience 100%.

The location of this hotel was right across the road from the train station. It was a perfect central location to explore Stockholm. What I liked as well, was that it was easy to identify where the hotel was because of its iconic look. The breakfast was great, lots of options. ||On the downside, I found the cleanliness of the room wasn’t good. Though they work hard to rectify the issue when I brought it up. Also selected this hotel thinking it more modern and would have reliable air conditioning. Though they work hard air was on it was always at a low level even when I turned it up. ||The other amazing part of this hotel was the outdoor patios on in the bar, the other on the 11th floor. Great for relaxing after a busy day exploring the city. Over all, I was happy with my stay.

Unbeatable location for getting to the airport. Lovely sun terrace with incredible city views. Room was spacious with super floor to ceiling windows and decent bathroom. Breakfast buffet was large and not bad for a large hotel.

I had a great stay at Scandic Continental! The room was very well-equipped with everything I needed — modern, clean, and comfortable. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city with easy access to public transport. The surrounding area is beautiful, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants just a short walk away. Perfect for both business and leisure trips. Highly recommended!

We travelled for a couple nights to explore Stockholm on our way through to Finland. We had an amazing stay at the Scandic Continental.||The hotel itself is right across from the Central Train Station which is very convenient when arriving by train or when taking the Arland Express from the Airport. We arrived from Oslo via train and ended up departing the station on a raised street. The hotel is in a lower street (below the bridge) and there was no entrance on the top street level. Once we realized this, it was a quick walk around the hotel to go through a side street alleyway to get to the front entrance of the hotel. If arriving by train, make sure to exit the station at the main doors, as the hotel is just a quick walk across the street then.||Check in was quick and efficient. The hotel was quiet and the room was well appointed. The windows don't open but the air conditioning was fantastic. The room itself was large enough for the bed, a desk, a chair, and side tables. The washroom was a good size with heated floors and a nice large shower. The room also had an iron and boards as well as a safe. ||Breakfast was included in our stay and we were very pleased with the offerings. They had fresh breads, cold cut meats, veggies and salad, weiners, bacon, eggs, potato patties, meatballs, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, beans, oats, pastries, and cheese. They also had a selection of juices (lingonberry was delicious) and filter coffee and tea.||The hotel also had a roof top terrace bar that was hopping even on a Tuesday, and was a great place for a drink after a long day exploring Stockholm.||The hotel is walkable to all the sites we set out to see. Being only a 20 minute walk into the heart of old town (the palace and Nobel prize museum) and a 45 minute walk to the island with parks and museums (Nordic Museum, Viking museum, spirit museum etc). The harbour is a quick walk and the shopping is plentiful in and around the hotel. Many restaurants were available, including a nice Swedish Restaurant a quick 10 minute walk up the road.||The staff was amazing as well. We had an issue at check out where someone had mistakenly charged drinks to our room and the staff was quick to sort it out for us. We had an amazing stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Stockholm!

This is a great choice for a visit to Stockholm. A large modern hotel with plenty of amenities. Across the street from the main train station. If flying into Stockholm, just take the Arlanda Express train to the main train station and walk across the street. The hotel is located above a major subway station, so it is very easy to get to almost anywhere in Stockholm. You can walk to many attractions and there are many shops and restaurants around the hotel. The included breakfast is outstanding! Dozens of options and really well done. Fresh baked bread, smoothies, eggs, meats, cheeses, and so much more. Really so much beyond any included breakfast in the US.

Took the train directly from the airport into Stockholm. When you walk out of the train station, the hotel is less than 5 minutes’ walk. Check-in was easy. Room was clean and simple. Had dinner at Boo Burgers and Barbecue City, which was a 5–0 min walk away and it was delicious. Would stay here again!
