By far the worst night of 75 this year in a hotel. A beaten up, totally overpriced, dirty, tiny ** called scandic "hotel". Everybody involved should be ashamed for this deasastrous rip off. youre in the customer service industry - if you heard about that. You should give people joy and fun and dont treat them like your "rooms". In 3 days is Christmas and my only wish is to leave as early as possible and never come back near a scandic "hotel". What a disgrace to norway, and fauske especially. Im stunned by this, "establishment"

The hotel is very nice and centrally located with a great view of the water. Check-in was nice and quick. Our room was functionally furnished and very clean. The quality and choice of breakfast was average and the service a bit slow. If we were to come to Fauske again, we would still want to stay here again.

This Scandic is very special. Almost 100 years old. Sevice was gentle, professional and merry - with a nice breakfast and a good view of the fjord. During winter no a la carte, but still a fine restaurant with good staff.

Impeccable cleanliness, nice common areas. Check out the wall covered in caricatures and short stories of interesting people who used to live and work in Fauske. The exterior looks a bit cold and industrious, and the layout & walls of the hotel has a touch of the old-timey feeling, but they are also very clearly renovated. Great bathroom. Loads of parking space, and a superb staff that was very accommodating to weary travelers that arrived in the middle of the night. TL;DR, Norwegian: Upåklagelig. Mest komfortable overnattingen jeg har hatt langs E6 (ut av 10 lokasjoner).

We spent one night at this hotel. It felt a bit old-fashioned though there were attempts to modernise (e.g. some of the public areas). Our room was spacious with a separate hallway and seating area with sofa. The bathroom was a little outdated with a shower over the bath which was not ideal though the shower itself was perfectly acceptable. We arrived at breakfast just after a large group had visited and so some items had run out and it took a little time to recover - but it did!

Clean, moderately priced and well managed establishment. Just remember that even though renting a room in Norway is not necessarily more expensive than elsewhere, having a meal at any restaurant most certainly is.

Arrived about an hour earlier but we were checked in. Nice service. Fantastic view. Not fancy or luxurious and not cheap either.

We stayed here for one night using Scandic Bonus Points during July 2020. We perceived the staff as friendly and helpful when requested. The property itself is old but we found the quality of the rooms to be good. The beds were comfortable, the room had an ok size, the water pressure in the shower was amazing! As the hotel is older there is no ventilation, but we had a fan in the room which was really appreciated and gave us a good night sleep! ||I much rather stay in an older hotel with solid interior than in a recently renovated hotel with poor quality interior. We had a super disappointing stay at the Scandic Syv Søstre a few days before - a hotel that seems to have gone through renovations but with poor quality of materials and a worn down impression. This is not the case for the Scandic in Fauske. I hope when they do renovations that they won’t fall for the same “Scandic trap” which I have seen in so many other Scandic hotels to put design before functionality and quality.||On the downside, the breakfast options were very disappointing. Yes, COVID 19 places some restrictions, but at the time of our stay a week had already passed since Norwegian authorities allowed full breakfast buffets again - but this hotel only offers a pre-packed bread roll and juice / fruits for take away. We had full breakfast buffets in hotels in Tromsø the nights before, and even a “restricted buffet” in other Scandic hotels in the beginning of July. I suggest the breakfast options to be improved soon again. ||A point that did not influence our rating as it is probably outside the hotels control, but could be important to consider:|There is a lot of noise from the street right outside (E6) and massive amount of seagulls on the roofs, so sleeping with windows open is not an option.||Overall a pleasant experience, next time hopefully with a much better breakfast :)||||
