Scandic Grand Central

Very small standard room. Felt like a cupboard and not much space for more than the bed. Bed was nice though and room was clean. Breakfast not included, VERY pricey ar 28€ and had a normal standard. They should have knocked that down to a tenner. We are guests in the hotel after all! Great location! Very central! A very short walk to all shopping, theatres and cultural buildings in Stockholm.

In order to find our Double Superior Room, we walked through a veritable labyrinth of hotel corridors. The room itself was nicely decorated in grey and dark colors. The bathroom was very inviting covered with glazed bricks, and everything from hairdryer to ironing board was available.||The facilities are poor. The Gym is not much bigger than an average double room. The Sauna did not reach a temperature wich made it relevant as a sauna!||The breakfast restaurant was very crowded. The breakfast selection was excellent and the wait staff very helpful.||The worst experience was that the one key card provided prevented me from going for an evening walk, while my wife was watching something on the streaming service in the room. All elevators require an electronic key card, so we felt it was a form of house arrest. Afterwards, we were informed by the receptionist that Scandic Grand Central experiences a shortage of key cards during the high season. Simply not good. My rating: 2½ between Poor and Average.

Great rooms, clean, spacious, air feels fresh and cool (especially appreciated since it was so hot outside) with all the essentials provided. Comfortable bed, fresh sheets (ofc sheets are always fresh in the hotels, at least this is the expectation, but these felt soft and smelled good, so I just wanted to highlight their freshness 😄), it was cozy. Iron, tv and hair dryer are in the room, the only thing missing is fridge. Check in at 16 (and it’s was surprisingly strict, we were not allowed to check in even 15 min earlier); check out at 12. Breakfast was actually quite good, separated in several zones, plenty of sitting room, but also there were quite many people. But no rush , no need to come too early, they are not running out of food until it’s actually the end of the breakfast (from 7 until 11). Plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, warm food, gluten/lactose free and vegan options. Great location, close to the central railway station and to the city centre, main attractions. Separate shout out to the hotel staff - everyone from the receptionist to chefs, breakfast staff and cleaning crew- extremely friendly, polite and helpful. We appreciate your work! We enjoyed our stay and will be happy to stay again here during our next visit to Stockholm! Thank you!

The hotel enjoys an excellent location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area and access key attractions. The front desk staff were very helpful and made check-in smooth and pleasant. While the room was noticeably smaller than what I’ve typically booked in other hotels, it was clean. Breakfast was okay – nothing special, but enough to start the day.

We stayed one night at Grand Central Stockholm. While the location is excellent and the hotel has a stylish atmosphere, our overall experience was disappointing. Our request for a room away from the elevator was not honored, and the room itself was very small, with no fridge or basic amenities. The bathroom had visible hairs and trash in the shower drain — a serious cleanliness issue that should never occur. Additionally, there was no possibility to upgrade the room category when paying with Avios points, which was disappointing and not clearly communicated in advance. On a positive note, the customer service was friendly and professional. However, the lack of cleanliness, comfort, and flexibility leaves us unlikely to return or recommend the hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, 5 mins walk from the station where the airport express train arrives, so very convenient.|A extensive breakfast selection including GF and dairy free options plus there are several coffee machines so you dont have to wait too long to get a coffee. The staff do a great job of clearing the tables so even though it was busy you never had to wait for a table. My room was spacious and the hotel is really quiet so no problems with noise or sleeping. I would stay here again based on the service, breakfast and location. If you want your room cleaned every day you have to let them know, they are happy to do it but are trying to be more eco friendly.

Only a 5 Minute walk from the Arlanda Express Terminal. Very nice room. Ice cubes available near the elevator. Very nice breakfast buffet with lots of fresh fruit, iced coffee and flavored water. Very nice and relaxed atmosphere, little green or red cards on the table indicate free or reserved. I want this at every hotel. Definitely a recommendation, charming style, too.

We had a lovely stay. Very clean hotel but you need to ask for your room to be serviced 24hrs in advance. Twin room was 2 beds pushed together with a shared double sheet so we had to split the beds and ask for additional bedding. Only one English tea, tea bag so take your own. Would have liked a mini fridge but ice is available. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice but it does get busy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location with super public transport very close by. Would return in the future if visiting Stockholm.
