Quality Hotel Grand Tromsø

Great location, right in downtown Tromsø. Exceptionally clean room, all spaces were spotless, including the rug. The included breakfast was delicious and bountiful with options that were clearly labeled for dairy-free, vegans, and non-red meat eaters. Best hotel breakfast ever! The view of the room was beautiful too. One small piece of feedback, please have front desk staff inform guests at check in of how to turn the heat on. It took us a bit to figure out (the heaters were behind the curtains), but once we did, the space was very warm and cozy! And with that said, the front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Thank you for a wonderful welcome to Tromsø!

The room was decent could use at least one more outlet anywhere in the room, but housekeeping was nearly nonexistent. Our room was serviced only once (the day we arrived) during a three night stay, and we had to go out to find fresh towels each evening. However, the breakfast was absolutely outstanding and truly saved the stay. It was one of the best we have had. The gentleman at the front desk was also very helpful with miscellaneous questions. Overall, it was a mixed experience, but the breakfast and friendly staff were definite highlights. Might be worth knowing this is no longer Scandic Grand Hotel but instead Quality Hotel Grand Tromsø part of the Choice Hotel Family

The hotel has changed hands and is now part of the Quality hotel chain. The reception staff were lovely; super helpful, friendly and polite. The rooms were spotless and thermostat controls allow you to keep the space heated to a desirable temperature. The location was perfect, next to main shopping street and harbour, near bus routes and only a ten minute walk to the bridge over to the cable car. Everything was easily accessible on foot. |And best of all… the breakfast. We have travelled lots and this was the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. Variety and quality were superb. Catered for all dietary needs and enough choice and food to fill you up for the day. |Thank you. 🤩

Realy nice hotel The people are friendly and the service is good. The breakfast is wel organised and the choises are big. The rooms are clean and nice. For a international hotel the TV should have more channels than only Norwegian. They have a smoking balcony at the 2e floor out of the rain/snow. Located in the center of the city. Perfect. Well earned stroopwafels

As usual a small petite bed but comfortable as long as you are not huge in size. Bathroom with all 3 in 1 detergent and hand wash. Very basic. No kettle and no hair dryer with no coffee or tea and cups provided thus felt like a budget hostel. Price a bit steep for such amenities. Location is excellent with Christmas market nearby coupled with lot of restaurants, cafes and retail shops. Breakfast was excellent with good array of choices

Well sited hotel on the main shopping street in Tromso. The room was large with a double bed and a separate room for the children with bunkbeds. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The Internet worked well with no issues during our stay.||Check-in was easy and helpful. Indeed, whenever we needed to go to reception, they were obliging and knowledgeable. The breakfast area was large with plenty of hot and cold choices.||The hotel is situated about 10 minutes by taxi from the airport. Alternatively, there are regular shuttle buses from just outside the hotel to the airport. All the main shops are within an easy walking distance as is the waterfront.

I was very happy with this hotel. It recently underwent a name change which was confusing on our reservation but we figured it out. Check in was easy. Our room was clean, large and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. I was very happy with the quality. The bed was SO COMFORTABLE. Breakfast, which was included, had many options and was delicious. It is located right on the popular strip walking distance to all of the restaurants, very close to the port. The bus stop with service to the airport is close. Overall, a great stay. Thank you!

Room is clean but basic, using the shower would literally flood the toilet, Service is a solid 2/5, location is great. The breakfast is exceptional well given the backdrop, kudos to the kitchen for being the only department awake!
