Scandic Haugesund

Room could with benefit been a bit cleaner on arrival, but then I am on details. Service, hotel location in town center and the great breakfast make the stay really good. Silence in 5th floor with really good sleeping through the night. Parking in garage with maximum 200 NOK each day. Can only recommend this hotel.

I'd never thought that Scandic has so different quality levels! Coming from Scandic Kopenhagen you think that Scandic Haugesund is a different brand, not only 2stars below.||The comfort is like in a 2 Star-hotel. The noise from the neighbors door make you think somebody is coming into your room. Parking under the hotel is narrow and ugly (the door in the basement leading to the little Parking reads "Sprinkler"), if you don' t like it - arrange yourself, because all the parkings are private and doesn't have arrangements with the hotel. The beds for teenagers in the "family room" are very uncomfortable! The breakfast is really good though.

You get what you pay for. It’s ok , deff not sanitary and hard to breathe due to so much dust in the room. And the washroom doors are just a sliding glass door which makes it super hard to pee knowing that someone else is in the room and can hear you…

Typical Scandic standards and style. Rooms are clean and the size is good, and as always in Scandic, neither the front desk area or the room give you something to close to a luxury feeling.|Staff is friendly.|Breakfast is Scandic - not impressive, but still better than an average europeen breakfast

Great Hotel, really god service and realy nice to stay!||I love to stay at Scandic Haugesund and have already booked my next stay at the Hotel!||

The hotel is located centrally in the city and you have short walking distances to many great restaurants and much more.||The check in was easy and the staff were kind.||The room was spacious enough with a small sitting area outside the bed. The beds even had electric controls for elevation, which is not something you often see. Otherwise the room was fine, with good space in the bathroom also.||The breakfast was a bit smaller in scale than many other Scandic hotels, but it did the job fine. A good proper coffee machine too, which was nice to see.

Welcoming staff, helpful and understanding staff. The location is perfect, with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants around. Clean room and good breakfast.

Great location and wonderful staff. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and the hotel was surprisingly quiet for being in a city center (I was informed that the hotel enforces a no-afterparty policy out of consideration for the many working people who regularly reside there). The breakfast buffet was varied and fresh.

Scandic Haugesund is located near the main shopping street. It's next to the cinema and right up the street from a pizza place that serves until 4 of morning on Saturdays. How convenient! In other words a great place to stay if your in town for the weekend. H O T E L: Scandic Haugesund offers free wifi, free bike rental and included breakfast as any other Scandic does. Unfortunately the breakfast was rather poor. They didn't refill the food treys and the cheese was totally empty by the time we came down to eat. The coffee was not included in the breakfast but costed 15kr. Breakfast without coffee!? Come on.. The hotel itself was nice, I would say it has a rather normal Scandic style. They try their best to be green and environmental friendly, something I appreciate a lot. R O O M: The room was nice but like a lot of the other scandic's I've been to they lack some light. More window or lamps would be great! The one window we had (in room 203) pointed right to the stairway in the next building. Not that tempting to keep the curtains open, really... The bathroom was the big plus for us this time. It was very nice, and the big shower was amazing! Only thing I was missing was a better mirror, one that allows you to do your makeup. As a little bonus the room had a water boiler (not at all common in Scandic) and a very good iron (so I could go to wedding in a wrinkel-free dress). C O N C L U T I O N: Not super happy this time, still it's really ok. I could be back.
