Fantastic holiday for our first time in Oslo Norway. The staff made us feel very welcome and helped us when we needed. We would like to thank a guy who’s helped me and my partner advise on traveling back home with different routes we could take. We don’t know his name but he’s been amazing. We had a lovely chat on the night we’re leaving. We are planning hopefully one day to come back in the winter to experience the skiing. Thanks again. Sarah & Jackson.

We had stayed here ten years ago and, for the sake of reminiscing, chose to stay here again during our two-day stay in Oslo. The view from the hotel is as magnificent as ever, overlooking the Oslo Fjord. However, I must emphasize that the room service was terrible. Aside from changing the sheets, there was no sign of cleaning at all. The room was so dusty that I couldn't even touch the curtains; opening or closing them sent dust flying everywhere. There was even trash on the floor. The bathroom was full of hair and only had half a roll of toilet paper. Don't even open the wardrobe; it's enough to make you want to vomit. The room we booked was listed as 30 square meters with a double sink in the bathroom, but the room we received was much smaller, with a single sink, completely different from the description on the website! The sofa bed felt like a gymnastics exercise, high in the middle and low on the sides! We've traveled extensively in Europe, and for a city as clean and tidy as Oslo, Norway, to have such filthy conditions is unacceptable. The breakfast had a wide variety, but nothing was delicious. Furthermore, the hallway carpet was extremely dirty, covered in stains and dust, making it unpleasant to stay even for a short while. We will never stay here again!

We stayed for a long weekend in a Rome for 6, which consisted of a large double bed, bunk beds and a sofa bed. The room is a good size and the view was simply breathtaking. The breakfast that was included was really good and set you up for the day, with special area for gluten free. The metro is about 10 mins down the hill and takes you into the city centre on about 30 minutes. You need to download an app to use it ‘Ruter’ but once you have it, really easy to access times and book travel. There is not an option at the station to pay, so the app is a must. We were really impressed with the hotel, the only negative was the evening buffet. I understand it’s a summer thing and the rest of the year there is an a la carte menu. The evening buffet was fairly limited in its choice and none of us particularly enjoyed the offering.

This hotel was beautiful and such a luxury experience for us, midway through our busy Scandi tour. Our room was great: the bed was really comfortable and there was a lovely seating area with a comfy sofa. The standout was the view though, from our room we could see almost all of Oslo! The breakfast was also fab. Unfortunately when we went, the light railway was down for engineering works, so it was a bit of a trek via bus and tram to get there, not ideal with cases, especially with the final steep climb to the hotel

Google
In general, according to my over 10 times stay in Norway hotels, it is better to focus on mainly the low rating comments in google map instead of the 5 score when you are searching for a good hotel in Norway. After looking at 200+ comments over 10 4/5 stars hotels in Norway, quite some comments say the hotels here have a "special" way to get a quite high rating. By looking at the low rating comments of this hotel and based on my stay here, the hotel has really issue with hygiene. You will find that the hotel's cleanliness has nothing to do with the pictures in those 5-star reviews. The carpet in the corridor is full of stains, and the dust in the corridor and the room will enter your nose with your breath. The breakfast had a decent variety, but some of the quality wasn't worthy of a four-star hotel, like the thin juice and the scrambled eggs that tasted a bit like tofu... If the view outside is worthy of a five-star rating, I completely agree. However, when it comes to cleanliness and quality, I think a three-star rating might be too high. Perhaps Norway's lack of staff has led to subpar service, but that shouldn't excuse a four-star hotel from offering such poor conditions.

Location is bit outside of the city area but that’s what you have chosen as this is a ski famous hotel. Ambience is beautiful. Breakfast timings and the breakfast itself was with good options. We were vegetarians and we had good enough options. They serve fresh omelette on request which were quite delicious and a must to try out.

I loved the location and view from the hotel. It is absolutely stunning with mountains, oceans, and the Oslo landscape. I enjoyed looking over the windows when I woke up and went to bed :) The room is spacious, compared to hotels in Oslo's city center. Definitely cost-effective. The lobby and other common areas are designed in a welcoming way. Nice to hang out. The staff in the lobby and kitchen were very warm and helpful. One downside - the breakfast was not very impressive. The choices were rather limited. You can easily add things such as mushrooms, onions, leaves, and fresh juices at a not very high cost. The fruits offered were always not fresh at all...Radisson hotels offer much better breakfasts, as I stayed in a similarly priced one last year. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay here.

Google
The hotel is situated in a very nice area, with amazing views. Good, spacious rooms, not to fancy, but comfortable. Probably these are the only few good things about it. They should definitely review their restaurant menu, as well give their staff some lessons on how to communicate with customers. Rooms and other facilities need some maintenance already, furniture and decorations look worn.

Yelp
Really a 3.5. I attended a meeting here that took place over a few days where the topic was ironically, luxury adventure travel. The Scandic Homenkollen Park was a decent host with both hits and misses. HITS: The entrance and main lobby to the hotel was beautiful and welcoming. The food served at breakfasts, the included lunches, cocktail party and the farewell dinner were all very very good. The meeting room set up was comfortable and run well. Lots of us commented that the one big culinary surprise was how good the reindeer main dish was at our dinner. I loved the bed in my room with the double separate duvets (I must be in Europe!) - the rest of the room, not so much - see below. Wifi worked well. MISSES: Many of us ended up in very small, dark rooms. Very basic. If there was a room safe, I couldn't find it easily. After I checked in, I had a really hard time finding my room. I asked several housecleaning staff for help, and I was sent down long corridors to no avail. We had lunch one day at the dining area near the main lobby. Service was pretty atrocious and unfriendly. Overall, it served as it was meant to be - a conference hotel.

Yelp
10/10 views from above OSLO probably one of the coolest hotels I've been at. Service, food GYM and overall atmosphere is amazing. If you in Oslo I would definitely recommend stop by for a night I'm telling you won't disappoint. Little spooky Scandinavian vibes.

Yelp
My husband and I needed somewhere quiet, peaceful and beautiful to rest. My sister recommended this place. The room was TINY, the decor of the hotel is very eclectic. Very cozy space and feels very outdoorsy. Restaurant was very tasty and also very pricey. Struggled to get food delivery food options but the desk clerk was very helpful in assisting us. Was a nice cozy spot but may get something with more food options nearby next time.

Yelp
Have a reservation booked here for late April 2021 and was very much looking forward to my stay. However, Scandic has closed the hotel to all guests due to the pandemic. That is understandable. But what is not understandable is that they refuse to issue a refund on the rate. They essentially want to charge me for something that they cannot provide. Multiple appeals have been ignored or met with a flat no. They simply will not provide what I paid them for, which is a simple contracts case. Not to mention, other non refundable rates I had booked at hotels in Norway, Germany and the UK -- where the hotels are open -- were refunded due to the government restrictions that essentially prohibit Americans from entering Europe. But know Scandic Holmenkollen Park and Scandic Hotels wont' do right by its customers and should be avoided.

Yelp
Amazing views all around, beers food a bit pricey but well worth the visit if on a romantic holiday. If into outdoor sports, hiking, biking, or snow sports this is the place for you. Do bring your own snacks the stores around here are few to none.

Yelp
Stay far away from the lobby cafe/bar. Slow service and the worst waffles that I've ever had in Oslo. The view is nice tough.

Yelp
Went for the midday buffet lunch...and, of course, the views and history of place. The food was good...but the five stars come from the setting and scenery. Lovely...certainly worth the time to take the scenic ride out of the city.
