Picturesque and grand hotel. We had a complementary upgrade to a superior room. Breakfast was fantastic with so many options to choose from. The gym is amazing, spotlessly clean with loads of machines available. Staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and all speak good English. The free parking just down the hill was great and only a short walk from the hotel. Bed was comfortable. Loved this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Great space and impeccable view. It’s not ideal to travelt to with public transport if you have a lot of luggage - be prepared for a short hike! The breakfast and lunch options were really good but I was disappointed at their vegetarian dinner. I had the same bland risotto two days in a row. There’s so many more interesting vegetarian options so I expect more for a high end hotel like this. Their gym was amazing, probably the best I’ve ever seen in any hotel.

Scandic Holmenkollen combines history, comfort, and breathtaking views over Oslo. The beautifully renovated hotel blends a stunning historic building with modern facilities, spacious rooms, and excellent dining. Its location by the Holmenkollen ski jump and scenic trails makes it ideal for both relaxation and outdoor activities, while still only a short metro ride from the city center. The welcoming staff add a personal touch, and the inviting lounges with fireplaces create a cozy atmosphere perfect for both business and family stays. Guests can also enjoy the spa with pool, making this a place to experience and appreciate in every season of the year.

We returned to this hotel having stayed here for our honeymoon in 2009 and you didn't disappoint them and you didn't this time either. Our children loved the hotel with its stunning views over Oslo. The food for both breakfast and dinner was fantastic. Check in and out was quick and easy even though it was very busy in the hotel. Staff were friendly especially the lovely waiter on our last night in the restaurant. Cannot wait to come back again sometime.

We had stayed here ten years ago and, for the sake of reminiscing, chose to stay here again during our two-day stay in Oslo. The view from the hotel is as magnificent as ever, overlooking the Oslo Fjord. However, I must emphasize that the room service was terrible. Aside from changing the sheets, there was no sign of cleaning at all. The room was so dusty that I couldn't even touch the curtains; opening or closing them sent dust flying everywhere. There was even trash on the floor. The bathroom was full of hair and only had half a roll of toilet paper. Don't even open the wardrobe; it's enough to make you want to vomit. The room we booked was listed as 30 square meters with a double sink in the bathroom, but the room we received was much smaller, with a single sink, completely different from the description on the website! The sofa bed felt like a gymnastics exercise, high in the middle and low on the sides! We've traveled extensively in Europe, and for a city as clean and tidy as Oslo, Norway, to have such filthy conditions is unacceptable. The breakfast had a wide variety, but nothing was delicious. Furthermore, the hallway carpet was extremely dirty, covered in stains and dust, making it unpleasant to stay even for a short while. We will never stay here again!

We stayed for a long weekend in a Rome for 6, which consisted of a large double bed, bunk beds and a sofa bed. The room is a good size and the view was simply breathtaking. The breakfast that was included was really good and set you up for the day, with special area for gluten free. The metro is about 10 mins down the hill and takes you into the city centre on about 30 minutes. You need to download an app to use it ‘Ruter’ but once you have it, really easy to access times and book travel. There is not an option at the station to pay, so the app is a must. We were really impressed with the hotel, the only negative was the evening buffet. I understand it’s a summer thing and the rest of the year there is an a la carte menu. The evening buffet was fairly limited in its choice and none of us particularly enjoyed the offering.

The hotel has a very beautiful location and the bed was extremely comfortable. However, in my opinion, the hotel is not clean at all. The towels were dirty, and the bed sheets were very dirty as well. When I asked for clean sheets, they just handed me new ones to change by myself, which was not acceptable. In addition, the breakfast was always cold. Overall, I was disappointed with the hygiene and service.

The hotel is almost newly reconstructed with clean and spacious rooms, delicious breakfast and friendly staff. We planned to stay two nights only, but we cancelled our other bookings in order to turn Scandic Holmenkollen Park into a hub for exploring Oslo. Although it is a little far from the centre, the tram connection is very effective. ||The view of the Oslo Fjord from the hotel is a real splendour. ||When we are in Oslo again, we will certainly book this hotel.

Yelp
Really a 3.5. I attended a meeting here that took place over a few days where the topic was ironically, luxury adventure travel. The Scandic Homenkollen Park was a decent host with both hits and misses. HITS: The entrance and main lobby to the hotel was beautiful and welcoming. The food served at breakfasts, the included lunches, cocktail party and the farewell dinner were all very very good. The meeting room set up was comfortable and run well. Lots of us commented that the one big culinary surprise was how good the reindeer main dish was at our dinner. I loved the bed in my room with the double separate duvets (I must be in Europe!) - the rest of the room, not so much - see below. Wifi worked well. MISSES: Many of us ended up in very small, dark rooms. Very basic. If there was a room safe, I couldn't find it easily. After I checked in, I had a really hard time finding my room. I asked several housecleaning staff for help, and I was sent down long corridors to no avail. We had lunch one day at the dining area near the main lobby. Service was pretty atrocious and unfriendly. Overall, it served as it was meant to be - a conference hotel.

Yelp
10/10 views from above OSLO probably one of the coolest hotels I've been at. Service, food GYM and overall atmosphere is amazing. If you in Oslo I would definitely recommend stop by for a night I'm telling you won't disappoint. Little spooky Scandinavian vibes.

Yelp
My husband and I needed somewhere quiet, peaceful and beautiful to rest. My sister recommended this place. The room was TINY, the decor of the hotel is very eclectic. Very cozy space and feels very outdoorsy. Restaurant was very tasty and also very pricey. Struggled to get food delivery food options but the desk clerk was very helpful in assisting us. Was a nice cozy spot but may get something with more food options nearby next time.

Yelp
Have a reservation booked here for late April 2021 and was very much looking forward to my stay. However, Scandic has closed the hotel to all guests due to the pandemic. That is understandable. But what is not understandable is that they refuse to issue a refund on the rate. They essentially want to charge me for something that they cannot provide. Multiple appeals have been ignored or met with a flat no. They simply will not provide what I paid them for, which is a simple contracts case. Not to mention, other non refundable rates I had booked at hotels in Norway, Germany and the UK -- where the hotels are open -- were refunded due to the government restrictions that essentially prohibit Americans from entering Europe. But know Scandic Holmenkollen Park and Scandic Hotels wont' do right by its customers and should be avoided.

Yelp
Amazing views all around, beers food a bit pricey but well worth the visit if on a romantic holiday. If into outdoor sports, hiking, biking, or snow sports this is the place for you. Do bring your own snacks the stores around here are few to none.

Yelp
Stay far away from the lobby cafe/bar. Slow service and the worst waffles that I've ever had in Oslo. The view is nice tough.

Yelp
Went for the midday buffet lunch...and, of course, the views and history of place. The food was good...but the five stars come from the setting and scenery. Lovely...certainly worth the time to take the scenic ride out of the city.
