We stayed here as part of a Globus-sponsored tour package on or around 06 September 2024. The experience was negative. The hotel is in need of a remodel or demolition because it is dated, the rooms are tiny and almost could be a fire hazard. It is a hazard in the sense if one or more had to egress, the end of the bed was almost literally to the wall( at least in our room). Bathroom was old, tiny and frankly outdated. The ventilation was poor, but I would guess more tolerable during the winter months, when heat is needed. Staff were very nice on-site, food was adequate, but didn't stand out. The dining area was literally in- what appeared to be the basement floor. The blame in this case resides with the tour provider, but my review matches previous visitors that have stayed here as well. It was not a three-star hotel, in this writer's experience.

We stayed here for one night as part of a Globus tour. This hotel is an embarrassment. I'm not sure if the other Scandic on the way to North Cape is in better shape, but Globus should look into the other property instead of this dump. The only plus to this hotel is that it is in the city, so we were able to walk around a little bit, visit a souvenir, a grocery store, and walk around the harbor. This hotel itself is out of the 60s. I'm not sure it has ever been renovated or will be renovated. Our room was very tiny, we only had enough space to open one suitcase at time. There was just enough room squeeze through in front of the bed to get to the other side where there was a desk and tv oddly placed. There was limited space to put anything in this roomThe bathroom was tiny and flooded when the shower was used. No iron, No hair dryer. This hotel is bare bones. It's a place to sleep to/from North Cape and that's it. We did eat in the hotel for the dinner and breakfast buffet compliments of our tour, and the food was ok, nothing special, but enough choices that everyone was happy.

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a legers coach tour. The hotel is basic and could do with a refurb but it was perfectly adequate for what we needed. The room and shower room were small but clean. No tea/coffee facilities. No mini bar. Lovely views over the harbour and perfect location for nearby trails and local area and access to Nordkapp. The food was pretty much the same both days but was delicious. It can get busy in the restaurant as multiple coach groups arrive at various times.||A nice little hotel and an enjoyable stay. Thank you 😊|

Nice 3 star hotel. In line with the many Scandic scattered around Northern Norway. Nice interiors. Breakfast is ok but not at the same level of other Scandic hotels. Still a very good stay.

This hotel should be completely rebuilt from the ground, I don't think a renovation would cover it. The hotel is very old. The hotel rooms are very old and look extremely old-fashioned. The room is very small, there's not even room to put your suitcase. There's a huge tv in the room, but it's not working. The bathroom is in desperate need of a thorough clean, as the walls of the bathroom were sticky. When of the other guests, no matter in which room or on which floor they are staying, make a sound you can hear it. You can hear all the other guests talking, going to the toilet, flushing the toilet, etc. Sleeping is impossible. Breakfast buffet and dinner buffet were just basic, nothing special. Wifi was okay. There's no hairdryer nor a safe in the room. Staff at reception was friendly.

This was a very worn, basic and miserable hotel. The fittings were chipped and the bed was uncomfortable. It was very hot in the room but I couldn't open the window because it had stairs and a landing outside which could have given access to my room. The food options at both breakfast and lunch were the worst of the many places we visited in Norway. Try the other hotels first.

There are not a lot of choices here, and because Honningsvag is the gateway to Nordkapp, there’s little incentive to upgrade existing hotels. People will stay here regardless of the quality of hotels because it’s close to the top of the world! |The hotel was very clean and the staff is friendly. Rooms are compact, as is the bathroom. It’s a basic place to sleep for a day or two. |The food is quite good though. Dinner and breakfast were fine.

From the outside you definitely see it's age, but my room was surprisingly quite spacious and the bathroom looked renovated and was perfectly clean. The breakfast was Scandic like pretty good. The only downside was a quite noisy AC unit on the outer wall that was audible inside. I'd say for a one or two night stay this hotel is great and reasonable priced.
