Scandic Kalmar West

Very good location as it is close to a bus stop and not downtown. Great breakfast and amazing, friendly staff. The rooms were quite warm but they had a fan you could use in the room already.

Perfectly fine hotel a bit outside of Kalmar. Rooms are ok, as is the service. Not too fun views though. Breakfast was a bit on the smaller side, but still had everything you could expect at a buffet. Large, free parking lot outside. Also Tesla Superchargers just next door. Convenient for ev drivers.

No lifts, no way to make coffee or tea in the room. You have to book for breakfast, which is on the first floor without a lift. Generally, if the management could make a decision to make it more difficult and annoying for the guest, they did it.

Absolutely not worth it. Smells like mold everywhere in this hotel and it’s really run down. Rooms are OK but old and dated. Don’t forget your toothbrush like I did, otherwise it costs you 86SEK to get a new one. Everything is overpriced here, please stay somewhere else if you’re in the area.

This was a great location for our visit. Rooms are very clean and you can't beat the breakfast which has a huge selection of freshly made options.

Comfort stay, nice front desk staffs, quite room, swimming pool, gym, play area, nice breakfast, plenty of free parking space, close proximity to Tesla supercharger and so on

Out of all the hotels out there, this is certainly one of them. They have rooms and parking and you know exactly what you're in for from looking at where it is. Outside of town, semi-industrial area near a big road. If it's warm outside, it's warm inside. Big ol fan available, but no AC. Blackout curtains could be better. If I can still see the walls and my hands in front of me when the curtains are drawn, it's not dark enough, and this was not dark enough. Somewhat thin walls, don't plan on sleeping here during the day if you're a light sleeper due to sound. Crowded breakfast, they could certainly open up twice that amount of space and be better off for it. Pretty good breakfast overall. Need a place to stay and have a car? It'll do just fine. Staff is wonderful.

A nice hotel but nothing exceptional. The restaurant is okay if you're hungry and just want to eat but not a place to enjoy a meal. The bar isn't a bar, they just have bottles in a fridge with "drinks", don't take the mojito, it doesn't taste like a mojito. The staff is friendly and the rooms are nice but the toilet smells like it hasn't been flushed in a while.
