"Scandic Kødbyen is located in Vesterbro district in Copenhagen, 2789 feet from Copenhagen Central Station. It features a restaurant with an open charcoal grill and a cool-bar. WiFi is free. A flat-screen TV is featured in each room, as well as an air cooling system. Some also have a seating area, desk and electric kettle. The on-site Mør Restaurant and Bar serves steaks and fish grilled over coal in our open kitchen. In the bar, delicious cocktails are mixed by our skilled bartenders. MØR is a popular meeting place for local Copenhageners. Our meeting facilities create space for creative expression and large events. With Nordic design and modern facilities, our rooms offer a pleasant oasis in the heart of the city. Guests can rent bikes to explore Copenhagen on wheels or exercise in the gym. Tivoli Gardens are 15 minutes' walk away, while the shopping street Strøget is 20 minutes' walk away from Scandic Kødbyen. Where to Stay in Copenhagen When You Visit (Updated 2025)

"This sleek, cool new hotel in neighboring Kødbyen felt ideal for nightlife, being only a short walk to Vesterbro’s best bars, restaurants, and nightclubs; I found the spacious rooms have large, thick, comfortable beds and some include French balconies." - Matthew Kepnes

Fantastic staff and room. We was there for the half marathon and this was fairly close to the train and not to far from the metro. The breakfast was incredible with lots of different food options. The staff was always service oriented and friendly. It also had a bar in the reception.

Center of town is a good walk from this lovely hotel. Excellent breakfast. Have to ask for room cleaning one day prior, which is an issue if you wake up, take a shower, and then decide that you want new sheets, though towels are dispensed on an as needed basis from desk . Shower is nearly level with bathroom floor and there is only a partial door so water will cover some of the bathroom floor.

Have stayed here twice. Both times were excellent. Great breakfast. Enjoyed the bar at night. On the second trip they were very accommodating with early check-in and offered a space in the co-working area if it wasn’t available. The gym is also well taken care of and has decent equipment. Appreciate being able to checkout with an email.

We just checked in and our room has small but distinct splatters on the wall around the toilet and the bin is full of used feminine hygiene products. My husband spoke to the lobby and they said nothing could be done. The room has not been cleaned thoroughly for a while I fear.

We had the best stay at Scandic, the neighborhood is very cool, we used the hotel bike during all our stay and had great breakfast options. The only downside is that we had to pay for lockers to keep our barges the day we left. But service is great they were open to move us to an our room with a bathtub after asking twice - the first employee wasn’t keen.

Yelp
Adam H and I recently stayed here on our Scandinavian vacation. The location of this hotel was perfect for us being in the trendy meat packing district, but I wouldn't recommend for families or travelers not wanting to spend time in this area, because it was a good walk (or bike ride) to several other touristy areas of the city. Pros: 1. Wifi was good, as long as you signed in again every 12 hours 2. Free breakfast 3. Fun location in the meat packing district, near lots of bars and restaurants (War Pigs, Fermentator, etc...) 4. Friendly staff Cons: 1. We had some issues with our shower drain and housekeeping and had to ask numerous times for assistance 2. Breakfast options were somewhat limited, and it was a little confusing at first if we were to seat ourselves or wait for staff 3. Not very close to many of the tourist attractions in the city - about 10-15 minute walk to Central Station and Tivoli, and everything else was father than that 4. Bike rental was fairly expensive 5. No refrigerator in the room 6. Close to a grocery store Overall, we were happy with our stay, but this hotel is not for everyone.

Yelp
I planned on staying next week but circumstances out of my control forced me to cancel my international trip. I've spoken to a handful of front desk staff and all have been extremely rigid and unaccommodating. They'll likely rebook my room to someone else while I'm out $500 USD for a three-night stay I cannot use.

Yelp
First time in Copenhagen. I'm used to smaller everything in Europe. The rooms were quite nice and the standard room was larger than I was expecting. There are no sports channels on their TV. But the ladies behind the desk are exemplary. They are very nice and incredibly helpful. I would single one or two out but they were all great. The restaurant was very good and I almost never say that about an on-property restaurant. But try the SASHI ribeye. Yum.

Yelp
My wife and I booked a room for early June 2020 a while back at Kodbyen to stay one night following a Baltic Cruise. We had no intention of canceling until the Corona Virus resulted in the cruise and all our flights from the US being canceled. Despite the virus nearly affecting 2600 Danes, killing 77 of its citizens, and despite we can't get to Denmark, the Scandic Kodbyen says "No DIce" in returning our deposit. How insensitive and inflexible can the personnel of this hotel be!!?? As an important aside, the entire Hilton Hotel chain just announced complete refunds for anyone who booked a hotel through June 30th, no excuses, no exceptions. I urge anyone interesting in Scandic Kodbyen to book elsewhere. If they treat guests like this during a crisis, think about how they would treat you when it's over if extenuating circumstances changed your travel plans?
