A review of two halves. ||Accommodation 1/5|Meeting Centre, Restaurant, Bar, Staff 5/5||From a meeting perspective, they were really great. Brilliant facilities, F&B was perfect. The room was great. The whole meeting centre was great and the team too.||And the whole team were very happy with the meeting centre having REAL mugs, not the tiny little coffee cups you usually get but a proper full-sized cup. (It really is the little things!)||I will extend that to the whole ground floor was perfect. We had one dinner and a lunch at the hotel, and the food was great with a really good vibe.||From an accommodation perspective, I would not stay again. The rooms were very basic, probably because it was so empty with wooden floors and a metallic feel; you could hear every door open and close on the floor. This included main doors and bathrooms, etc.||Adding to the basic was the lack of a simple desk or a kettle in the room, which meant that on the first night, I had to work from the bar to get a refreshment and have somewhere suitable to sit with my laptop.||But mostly, and a feedback noticed by the team members, was the smell of cigarettes in the bedrooms. As a reformed smoker myself, I can be overly sensitive to this, but when the team highlighted it in their rooms, too, it wasn't just me.||With all that said, we were there for the event and thanks to them, the event was a great success. I would use those facilities again but would look elsewhere for accommodation.
