Scandic Kristiansund

I haven't seen much around the Hotel, but looks okay, nice and kind people working in. Clean rooms, delicious breakfast and very quiet.

The location of the Scandic Kristiansund was excellent for our stay, as it’s close to the center of Kristiansund and right on the waterfront, with plenty of restaurants nearby. There is paid parking available, but it’s worth noting that the parking garage is under the hotel, and you have to climb stairs or walk uphill to reach the entrance.||Our check-in experience felt a bit impersonal, which was a slight disappointment. The room we stayed in was quite dated and could definitely use some TLC, though it was reasonably clean.||The breakfast was good with a lot of variety.||Given that there aren’t many hotel options in the central area of Kristiansund, we would probably choose to stay at the Scandic Kristiansund again, mainly because of its convenient location

The service (especially provided by a young man in the reception) was good. The view was towards the harbor and the hills on the other side of the bay - that was nice. The room was just a standard one and met our expectations. The price for a night was about 170€ (including a fee for a pet) which was a bit expensive compared to the value of the money.

During our visits to Norway, we stayed at numerous Scandic Hotels. By some margin this proved to be the worst. There were a number of issues which caused us concern. Firstly upon arrival the front desk was not manned. in effect this meant anyone could have walked in to the hotel and access any of the floors. Secondly, there was no evening meal available. Third and by far the most serious concern is the car parking. The car park is located at a lower level than the hotel. To access the hotel from the car park requires either a walk up the hill or secondly the use of two flights of metal stairs. The stairs have a handrail on one side only and are open to the elements, they are unsuitable for the elderly or young children. Itis questionable if the stairs would pass health and safety regulations in the United Kingdom. The last area of concern is that when we checked in cleaning material had been left in our room.

Nice and clean hotel located in Kristiansund sentrum. Few minutes away from restaurants and groceries. Room is comfortable with sofa and center table. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not open for dinner that time. Breakfast is ok there are many foods to choose. Staffs are also friendly, Very good hotel👍

We were given a handicap room without me asking for it. Staying in that room for 3 nights was not comfortable at all since the bathroom zinc is very low and it is not very friendly for a guy like me with a lower back problem.|After asking the reception for a swap, I was told that there are no other rooms available. It was OK for the first night, but I never received any offer the next day.|After sending an email to the support desk, I was expecting an answer. After staying 3 nights and with a very bad experience, I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.|Breakfast also was not that excellent anymore compared to our previous stays. Being a regular customer and a member of the Scandic Friends Membership Club, I was expecting a better treatment.

We were given a handicap room without asking for it, and when I asked for the swap, I was only told that there are no other rooms available. For one night, it was OK, but never received any offer for the 2 next nights. I sent an e mail to the support, but no answer was received.The breakfast was not the same as before and the quality was much better before 2023.

We stayed one night in july 2024||||The rooms are old and hot in summer, no ac and windows don’t open all the way||||We had a view on the water, but thats not worth the upgrade, windows were dirty||||Bed was good, but with the heat we hardly slept||||Bathroom was dirty, but had the strongest shower ive ever experienced||||||Hotel’s parking lot is lower then hotel and you need to climb several stairs to get to hotel, no handicap parking close to hotel or no lift from parking to hotel
