Friendly staff, gave answers to my questions. Room was clean with towels and showr things. They make steps towards environment friendly hotel - recycling, no small bottles for shower gel and shampoo but one big. Malmo city Scandic is good located, good breakfast - vegan options available.

We recently stayed at Scandic Hotel for four nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is very nice, and the location is excellent convenient and easy to reach. One of the highlights was the spacious parking garage, which easily accommodated our large car. It was such a relief not to struggle with tight basement parking, as is often the case in many hotels. The room was also quite spacious and comfortable, with thoughtful amenities like an ironing stand ,a small touch that made a big difference. The only downside was the cleaning policy. We didn’t realize that guests need to inform the reception if they want the room cleaned, so our room wasn’t serviced automatically during our stay. Once we mentioned it, the issue was addressed, but it would have been helpful to know this in advance. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel with great facilities and a comfortable atmosphere, just keep in mind to request housekeeping if you’re staying for more than a night.

An excellent choice for the family of five traveling through Malmö. We were warmly welcomed by hotels' staff and all the facilities were fully meeting our needs during our stay. Hotel is centrally located so we managed to do all the sightseeing during our short stay by foot. The prices were also affordable and the breakfast was tasty, plentiful and with rich offer of dishes.

We stayed at Scandic for 4 nights during a family holiday and had a truly memorable experience. A few hours after checking out, I realized I had left my wedding ring in our room. I called the hotel around 2 PM, and the receptionist kindly explained that lost items are stored in the Lost & Found locker for about three months. She promised to notify the housekeeping manager who manages lost items. The next morning, I followed up and spoke with the housekeeping manager, Jamal (I hope I’ve spelled his name correctly) who had been unwell the day before but was now on the case. I described the ring and where I’d last seen it. Less than ten minutes later, Jamal called back—he had found it! We returned to the hotel to retrieve it, and a staff member handed me the ring—intact and perfect. We’re deeply grateful for the team’s honesty. Beyond that, our stay was lovely. We booked a Family Four Standard Kitchenette, which was cleana and tidy. No weird odor in our room or hallways. The laundry facilities were easy to use, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. Breakfast was good, though the menu remained the same throughout our stay. A long-haired lady in the kitchen greeted us each morning, chatted with our daughter, and even helped with my coffee to go. The reception staff were consistently welcoming. We were offered welcome drinks (hot tea for us, juice for our daughter). Complimentary marshmallows at reception and a Kids Quiz on the lobby wall were our daughter’s favorites. We’ll definitely return!

Location is next to Malmö city center and in between train station Triangle and Malmö C. You need around 15min from both station to the hotel by walk, but during your stay everything else is very closed. The Standard family room is very spacious and includes a kitchen. The room has almost everythig that you need … except for knives, which is a bummer if you really want to cook something. On the other hand the breakfast was amazing and you can take your time until 11am. Services provided were also very good. If you have an early fight, you can pre order breakfast boxes for the whole family. The hotel is highly recommended.

We stayed at Malmö City with our labrador for the fifth or sixth time. Perfect location and suitable rooms for dog owners. This time the reception helped us swiftly with an early arrival. The breakfast buffe was great as always and the Maitre D genuinly welcoming. What can i say. We'll come back.

Scruffy hotel, rooms very run down, aircon non existent, water not fully hot. ||Breakfast was ok, had to sit downstairs and walk up spiral staircases every time you wanted something as it was overcrowded. ||Downstairs had a play area for kids, very basic but kept my little ones entertained enough. ||Fine as a very cheap one night stay. But definitely wouldn’t choose to return.

The hotel room were dirty, spider webs hanging on the lamps and bed mattress far away from being clean, we had silver fishes in the shower the last morning which was the cherry on the cake. The bed was small and uncomfortable. The breakfast was a positive surprise but there was no space available to sit together. Our daughters had to change room because there were blood stains on their madress cover. The rooms were badly isolated so one could hear people from the corridor every evenign and morning. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody.

Yelp
Average hotel with an amazing location. You can easily walk to all the things you'll want to do as a tourist in Malmo. The rooms are decent sized and the bedding comfortable. The furnishing is cheap - kind of like staying in an IKEA. And it lacks a few things like USB ports for charging and there's no safes in the room (and none behind the front desk either). Some of the common areas seemed worn and dirty, like big stains on the hall carpets. But the water pressure in the shower was great and the breakfast buffet was really good. Overall we'd probably stay there again for the price and location but it's more utilitarian than anything special.

Yelp
For a Scandic it is one of the better. Rooms are huge - like a studio w kitchenette. Dish washer, water boiler, coffee maker, fridge, small icebox. Twin beds are huge. Wider than normal. Breakfast might be a bit hysterical since many families w small children tend to stay here. Car park indoors just across the small street. Not associated w the hotel though, so pay seperately. They accept AMEX.

Yelp
This hotel used to be an apartment hotel but was taken over by Scandic some time ago and that was a real improvement. In the beginning it was easy to feel that they were really trying to make it great and since it had been an apartment hotel the rooms were big. Since then the initial enthusiasm may have washed off or perhaps I have just been unlucky lately but it feels as if it is sliding a bit. The check.-in is occasionally very busy, especially when groups arrive and there appears to be no readiness to have more people behind the counter even if the hotel is fully booked so it can lead to long waits to check-in (or check.-out in the morning). The rooms are pretty good, I like the they are (by European standards) rather large and the furniture, while simple, is fairly new and modern. It is always possible to sit and work at a desk and there is a separate table to eat at (most rooms have small kitchens or kitchenettes) so a nice touch. The rooms are also equipped with basic kitchen equipment in addition to the standard things like an iron, ironing board, free wifi and TV (with decent selection of channels). The drawback is that some of the rooms can have a smell of food so had to request to change rooms a few times. The bathrooms are very simple and in typical Scandic style there is crappy quality big bottles of combined shower gel and shampoo - would be ok if staying at a 2 star hotel but not if one has ambitions of being a good hotel. Annoying at this particular hotel is also that the shower often has water coming outside the shower area and there is no towel provided to keep on the floor (in yet another attempt to save money). Other disturbing things are that if one forgets toothbrush or toothpaste it is not possible to obtain free as in competing chains in the same price range - no, at Scandic when can buy it downstairs at prices that would make a convenience store blush for ripping you off. There is a nice gym that can be used free of charge and it has modern equipment and plenty of space. There is no room service but there is a not so great restaurant on site (but go elsewhere for food). Breakfast used to be very good since one in addition to the buffet could order omelets, fried eggs etc. This has however not been the case the last few times (not sure if it has been temporary time restraints or not) but that has really made me consider switching back to staying at Elite as I always did before.

Yelp
We flew into Copenhagen for a job interview in Lund. The Scandic was the best stay we have experienced in a long time. The bike loan was a great feature which was very much appreciated. The Breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were very clean and large. Book with confidence in that Scandic Malmo is one of the best!
