Scandic Malmö City

Good location close to Malmø Old Town. Great check in experience and good service. Easy to book time online for breakfast using QR code. The rooms seem a bit outdated and things need to be repaired, but clean and overall good. The bathroom was clean without mold. We were in a family room with a small kitchen. Good breakfast with a lot of options.

Absolutely loved our stay at Scandic Malmo central. The bed was extremely comfy, had the best sleep ever. Any request was answered with cordiality and immediately.||The waiters at breakfast were incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet had a huge selection, it was actually the best breakfast I have had at a hotel and will definitely be returning again next year.

I got a parking ticket for 10 minutes of parking right in front of the hotel. I was taking my bags to the hotel and after 10 minutes I came back found a ticket on the windshield. A well organized ticket trap for hotel guests. Thank you Scandic Malmö City.

Very great location, good and friendly personal. The breakfast was excellent as well. They just need to clean the windows in the breakfast area and the main entrance. For me the bed was to soft and pillow too small and not cleaned (pillow cover was cleaned) but I slept like a stone because I was exhausted after work.

One of the worst hotels I've stayed at, unbelievably bad service and facilities given how much they charge for it. I stayed at Scandic Malmö City for a work trip. The check-in had a long queue, and when I finally got to the reception they noticed that they double booked my room, so I had to wait for 20+ min to actually get access to a different room. The hotel lobby was under construction, everything dirty and strong smells, so there was pretty much no room to sit anywhere as they wouldn't open the restaurant area to compensate for the tables that were covered in plastic and paint. Breakfast has to be booked the day before, but it doesn't really matter because it will be crowded and completely disorganised anyways, with people waiting and wandering around holding their breakfast trays while waiting for people to finish and get up. Extremelly unpleasant! Food variety was pretty basic. Room cleaning also has to be booked the day before, otherwise they don't clean the rooms. Then, they are clearly understaffed because the cleaning is happening from 9:00 am to 17:00 and despite talking multiple times to the receptionists my room not cleaned until the very end of that time frame, which really got in the way of my work schedule, not having towels to take a shower, for example. I rarely write reviews, but this was such a bad quality service that it really deserved one. Would never come back to this place and will certainly avoid any Scandic hotel now that I see that this is their quality bar.

Nice location but standard is not as high as it should be for Scandic. Maybe this is something theirs cheap version. Beds are small and not comfortable. Staff is helpful and their breakfast has lots of variety.

Service was nice however in the end I couldn’t get my invoice split even though I was promised it. The hotel is pet friendly with an extra fee. We liked the breakfast. It was a bit noisy last night so we got a compliment.

The hotel is "ok". The rooms are nothing to boast about. They look decently clean, so definitely cheers to the friendly cleaning staff! The rooms are very "motel" style looked. Two beds were just barely comfortable, and the couch-bed was immediately hurting on the back. If I'd be the hotel manager there, I would ask customers to bring their inflatable bed themselves and yeet the couch-beds from the roof of the hotel into the trash can. They are really uncomfortable. There is no coffee machine in the rooms. They give you a fully equipped kitchen with 3 cooking plates to boast, but leave out a very basic thing like a coffee maker for when a customer would want an evening coffee. Dissapointing!! The highlight is the breakfast. It is really good. There are many options to choose from and there is an gluten free section. If the rooms where without the back-killing couch-bed and had a coffee maker in the large kitchen, I would definitely give a higher score.
