An excellent choice for the family of five traveling through Malmö. We were warmly welcomed by hotels' staff and all the facilities were fully meeting our needs during our stay. Hotel is centrally located so we managed to do all the sightseeing during our short stay by foot. The prices were also affordable and the breakfast was tasty, plentiful and with rich offer of dishes.

This hotel is getting a bit tired. The 1977 brutalist architecture doesn't do it any favors, if you get a room with a view to the back yard, you're blessed with silence, but the view feels more like staying in a prison than a hotel. ||||I'm sure this was a fantastic hotel back in its heyday, but it has aged badly. Now, the fountain in the lobby bar has been shut down and carpeted, lighting is garish and the bar looks rather ramshackle and seems understaffed. I went down for a beer around 22 one night. Three of the tables were occupied, one was vacant, and the rest were not cleaned. The sole survivor behind the bar was busy on his phone, and served me a beer wearing his blue nitrile gloves once done. Very off-putting, but apparently a theme, all breakfast staff wore the same gear for some unexplainable reason. ||||We had to bring our breakfast down here from the second floor on our first morning because the breakfast floor was packed. The breakfast buffet was just OK, they don't have fried eggs on offer. Boiled or powdered is how they roll. Pastry was dull, juice was good, coffee was acceptable.||||The stale smell in the hallways and rooms reaffirms the dated but rather well kept facade, cleanliness is generally good. We had a family room with a very strange floor plan, but it was comfortable. Lots of scuff marks on the walls indicating that it's been a while since touch-up has been done, so it was odd to find masking tape hanging in several places. Bed was firm and the pillows low and lumpy, curtains were sun-faded, but we slept well, much thanks to the aircon and the prison view I think.||||Service is average. No welcome drink or any other attention for the kids as advertised, and some staff seemed generally uninterested. Location is good. ||||We considered using the hotel parking garage, but it was impossible to find any pricing for this or even if it was open for service on their website, even after clicking a link in the welcome mail which was sent a couple of days before our arrival specifying parking options, so we parked in the Mobilitetshuset Anna garage opposite the street which cost SEK 250/day, or per hour if you're not staying for long. Will not be returning.

Location is next to Malmö city center and in between train station Triangle and Malmö C. You need around 15min from both station to the hotel by walk, but during your stay everything else is very closed. The Standard family room is very spacious and includes a kitchen. The room has almost everythig that you need … except for knives, which is a bummer if you really want to cook something. On the other hand the breakfast was amazing and you can take your time until 11am. Services provided were also very good. If you have an early fight, you can pre order breakfast boxes for the whole family. The hotel is highly recommended.

Scruffy hotel, rooms very run down, aircon non existent, water not fully hot. ||Breakfast was ok, had to sit downstairs and walk up spiral staircases every time you wanted something as it was overcrowded. ||Downstairs had a play area for kids, very basic but kept my little ones entertained enough. ||Fine as a very cheap one night stay. But definitely wouldn’t choose to return.

We stayed at Malmö City with our labrador for the fifth or sixth time. Perfect location and suitable rooms for dog owners. This time the reception helped us swiftly with an early arrival. The breakfast buffe was great as always and the Maitre D genuinly welcoming. What can i say. We'll come back.

Centrally located hotel in the city centre. Unfortunately the room was not ready at check-in time. The receptionist told us to take a seat, he would be with us in about 15 minutes. Then nothing happened for an hour. When asked, he agreed to check again whether the room was ready. In total, the room was available an hour and 45 minutes after check-in time. The reason given was that the cleaning was ‘a little’ behind schedule. The active information provided to guests and the way in which this is handled could clearly be improved.

Good location close to Malmø Old Town. Great check in experience and good service. Easy to book time online for breakfast using QR code. The rooms seem a bit outdated and things need to be repaired, but clean and overall good. The bathroom was clean without mold. We were in a family room with a small kitchen. Good breakfast with a lot of options.

All interactions with hotel employees was exclusively positive. We got a huge kitchenette room, right in the middle of malmø, for same price we paid for a tiny room in the outskirts of copenhagen the previous day. For a family of 4, living spaciously for a day was a very welcome change.

Yelp
Average hotel with an amazing location. You can easily walk to all the things you'll want to do as a tourist in Malmo. The rooms are decent sized and the bedding comfortable. The furnishing is cheap - kind of like staying in an IKEA. And it lacks a few things like USB ports for charging and there's no safes in the room (and none behind the front desk either). Some of the common areas seemed worn and dirty, like big stains on the hall carpets. But the water pressure in the shower was great and the breakfast buffet was really good. Overall we'd probably stay there again for the price and location but it's more utilitarian than anything special.

Yelp
For a Scandic it is one of the better. Rooms are huge - like a studio w kitchenette. Dish washer, water boiler, coffee maker, fridge, small icebox. Twin beds are huge. Wider than normal. Breakfast might be a bit hysterical since many families w small children tend to stay here. Car park indoors just across the small street. Not associated w the hotel though, so pay seperately. They accept AMEX.

Yelp
This hotel used to be an apartment hotel but was taken over by Scandic some time ago and that was a real improvement. In the beginning it was easy to feel that they were really trying to make it great and since it had been an apartment hotel the rooms were big. Since then the initial enthusiasm may have washed off or perhaps I have just been unlucky lately but it feels as if it is sliding a bit. The check.-in is occasionally very busy, especially when groups arrive and there appears to be no readiness to have more people behind the counter even if the hotel is fully booked so it can lead to long waits to check-in (or check.-out in the morning). The rooms are pretty good, I like the they are (by European standards) rather large and the furniture, while simple, is fairly new and modern. It is always possible to sit and work at a desk and there is a separate table to eat at (most rooms have small kitchens or kitchenettes) so a nice touch. The rooms are also equipped with basic kitchen equipment in addition to the standard things like an iron, ironing board, free wifi and TV (with decent selection of channels). The drawback is that some of the rooms can have a smell of food so had to request to change rooms a few times. The bathrooms are very simple and in typical Scandic style there is crappy quality big bottles of combined shower gel and shampoo - would be ok if staying at a 2 star hotel but not if one has ambitions of being a good hotel. Annoying at this particular hotel is also that the shower often has water coming outside the shower area and there is no towel provided to keep on the floor (in yet another attempt to save money). Other disturbing things are that if one forgets toothbrush or toothpaste it is not possible to obtain free as in competing chains in the same price range - no, at Scandic when can buy it downstairs at prices that would make a convenience store blush for ripping you off. There is a nice gym that can be used free of charge and it has modern equipment and plenty of space. There is no room service but there is a not so great restaurant on site (but go elsewhere for food). Breakfast used to be very good since one in addition to the buffet could order omelets, fried eggs etc. This has however not been the case the last few times (not sure if it has been temporary time restraints or not) but that has really made me consider switching back to staying at Elite as I always did before.

Yelp
We flew into Copenhagen for a job interview in Lund. The Scandic was the best stay we have experienced in a long time. The bike loan was a great feature which was very much appreciated. The Breakfast buffet was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were very clean and large. Book with confidence in that Scandic Malmo is one of the best!
