I honestly don’t understand why this hotel has received low reviews. They host so many guests every day, yet everything was impressively well maintained. Every staff member we encountered was professional, kind, and attentive. The restaurant, breakfast buffet area, and reception were all impeccably tidy—which I truly appreciated and thought was fantastic. Breakfast was a real highlight. The variety of healthy options was incredible—beautiful fresh salads, smoothies, muesli, fruits, fish, meats, cheeses, and excellent vegan and gluten-free choices. The coffee machine was top-notch too! We stayed in a suite in the old part of the hotel, and it felt so cozy—just like home. We originally planned to stay for one night but ended up staying three because we loved it so much. A special memory: one morning, our dog Blue jumped out of the hotel window and came to find us at breakfast! The lovely staff didn’t panic—instead, they gently walked him out and kindly tried to locate his “owners.” It was such a sweet moment and speaks volumes about how caring the staff are. We also met some amazing fellow travelers while sitting at the outdoor tables, and they even took us to visit the nearby marble castle! On top of all that, the hotel has a very well-equipped gym, which was a great bonus. This place is a hidden gem, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

A typical Scandic hotel, everything is clean and tidy, and looks to be well maintaintained, the rooms are ok, nothing to write home about, pillows like all the Scandi hotels are rubbish, so ask for more when you book in. ||Views from the room are nice, and curtains that do not block out light are an issue, well, for some, getting booked in was simple and easy, and we enjoyed a peaceful night in. We were only here one night, so I can not comment on food or anything as we did not eat in the hotel except for breakfast, which like all Scandi hotels was ok, plenty of a lot of things, and constantly topped up. I would be happy to stay here again, if we ever go back to Norway.

We stayed just overnight with two dogs. Hotel was just like any basic Scandic. What I hated is that even you book the room several months before the stay, still the room you'll get has the poorest view ever if you travel with pets. The value for the money does not meet in this hotel.||||Breakfast was fine, standard one.||||We succeed to get e-car parking slot but thr area was very occupied. Charging station did not work until I called to Service number and they did a remote reset. After that all good.

We had yet another good stay at a Scandic, 2 nights in Mo i Rana. First of all, we were stoked that parking is free, right in the hotel parking lot – a welcome change from the norm. the location is great, a few minutes walk from the waterfront and numerous good restaurants and grocery stores. Our room was a little disappointing, a bit on the small side with a very small bathroom – and no view, just the wall of another wing. Not all that inspiring, but it was clean and comfortable, so can’t complain too much. The mini-fridge was much appreciated for our cold drinks and we were able to fully open our window to cool the room down as well (otherwise a bit hot and stuffy). We made use of the hotel’s basement gym, which was pretty decent – a mutil-gym, a few machine weights, a Smith rack, and a good selection of free weights. There were also a few treadmills and a couple of bikes. The breakfast buffet was awesome as it is in most Scandic hotels. Just make sure to avoid the times when the bus tour groups eat their breakfast! Overall we had a good stay and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

Free parking front side - good ||Rooms - they worst ever, small bed, dark - really missing light in the room, looking into another "wings" window and roof.||Restaurant - well my husband said the buffet was ok BUT I took a hamburger - the first one was raw inside and when claiming waiter asked what is wrong ? Came back after a while and asked if I wanted a new one, Yes please I said. The second one was hard like a stone and couldnt be eaten either. I claimed again - the response was "I will tell the kitchen" NO more excuse or asking if I wanted something else.. So this night I had to go to bed Hungry. When it was time to pay - I had to argue for not paying the really bad food.

We spent a short nigh arriving at midnight at this basic Scandic hotel in Mo i Rana mid July 2025. The hotel was full which you couldn't avoid noticing during an anarchistic breakfast. Luckily, the weather was exceptionally nice allowing you to flee the crowd of bikers and small children into the garden. Rooms were OK with some items like a long shoe horn and a bathroom mat were missing. Service was just OK.

This hotel is a “Bus Tour old Fart Hostel” ||Worst hotel we’ve stayed in in 10 days in Norway. Caters to the bus tour crowd. 7 busses there for the night. Hedonistic, gluttonous 70+ year olds. Noise from bar travel up the stair well. Bar is at the base of the stairwell. This drunks stumbled up the stars all night long. Noise travels through the building very badly. ||Breakfast before 9:30 ish is not possible with all the pigs at the trough. Felt sorry for staff. They looked worn out at 10am The eating area was a shambles. Pig sty.||Front desk was just rude. Stopped to talk to them at 11:30pm about the noise and all the older blond wan could say was “what do you expect, it’s a hotel”. You bought the cheap room .” |I tried to close the stairwell door to reduce noice travel. Could not do so.||It doesn’t matter what I paid, I expect the hotel to respect every patron the same. ||Would never stay here again.

One of the worst hotels I have ever been to. Rooms old, not very clean and very uncomfortable beds. It was so hot it was impossible to sleep and the hotel had no fans for guests. The breakfast was poor, the worst I have encountered in a hotel for several years
