Our room here was pretty basic but unlike a lot of local accommodation, it had a private bathroom. The rooms are on the small side with no tv but the bed was comfortable with good bedding and the room furniture was reasonably good. The carpet was a bit worn but this far north with the weather conditions here, I guess that’s to be expected. The bathroom is small but the equipment is fine and there was plenty of hot water. A shower curtain was a surprise rather than a moveable screen but it was clean. On the down side, this place had about 5 coach parties here each night during our two night stay so the buffet breakfast was very busy and somewhat noisy. The dining room is really nice but if you can, avoid the bus tour crowds as the food servery area is very small for the number of guests trying to access it. At one stage on our first morning, they ran out of clean plates. Overall, a good location for the local sights but a somewhat budget quality stay.

The hotel is situated in its expected location, near the North Cape Plateau. Naturally, supply and demand dictate the price, especially during the peak season. The location is nice, and the food is acceptable, which is what one would expect from a hotel that primarily caters to large tour groups.||||However, for the price we paid, I expected more than what felt like a large guesthouse. There was no WiFi in the rooms, only in the main hall. The rooms were not cleaned, beds were not made, and towels were not replaced during our stay.||||While driving around Magerøya, we noticed several smaller hotels and guesthouses. I recommend checking these alternatives first. They are even better located, and I would assume the service is better, although the prices might also reflect the large influx of tourists visiting the island during the summer.

Very basic, busy, crowded hotel between Honningsvåg and North Cape. Barren surroundings, along the road, nothing to see close by except for a small touristinfo «sami camp». |Good beds, good bedlinen and towels, clean room. No TV set or fridge in the room. No wifi accessible from the room. |Long outdoor corridors, no lift. |Dinner was very basic, served in a luncheon buffet style, with a 45 minute timeslot to eat. |Felt like a tourist factor. Absolutely charmless.

Worst hotel ever. The smell in the room..I had to insure myself and look under the bed that there wasn't anything dead..And the size of the toilet? I almost asked at the reception if I got the families children room... Only good thing that its closer than the other hotels to the main attraction.

For a Scandic branded hotel, it is obviously a letdown but you can get a pretty good idea of the hotel looks before booking. It is an Olympic Games of Lillehammer 1994 building moved to Nordkapp for tourism purposes. It stayed in 1994. I chose it knowingly to be as close to Nordkapp as possible. And in this way it did not disappoint. This building is closer to a scientific/expedition/military base installed in a harsh environment than a hotel. It is designed to house as many people as possible in the cheapest way possible. The rooms have no equipment whatsoever but are they really needed for a one "night" stay ? Probably not. Who cares about the TV when you're in Nordkapp ? I slept well but after a 5000 km drive that's no surprise, I'd have slept anywhere. There is literally no housekeeping, either they have too much work and are understaffed or idk. Spider webs inside the room, piles of dust on the bathroom heater. I tried it but had to turn it off to avoid setting the building on fire. Clock ticking issue in this kind of wooden structure if you ask me. Not great for people like me who are allergic to mites. There are LOTS of tour operators but during our stay they were mostly quiet and friendly people, even helpful. We were placed at the very end of the blue block so noise of the commons was not an issue. It could benefit from air-conditioning units as the sun can get pretty hot in summer. Breakfast was on par with many Scandinavian hotels we stayed at which means good. And when you know the price of food in Norway, IT COUNTS. The staff was very kind especially the receptionists. There is no real parking, except for electric cars. Indeed, most guests come by coach. Being far away from the entrance, I parked my car right before the room. Convenient to load luggage ! The same can't be said about the access road filled with potholes. Drive carefully! Overall, it is expensive for what it is, but it is always expensive to be in the middle of nowhere. Are there cheaper options that can be booked last minute ? I found none. Surely not a 3 stars hotel, probably 2 stars at best. I was staying at the Thon Hotel in Kirkenes the night before, also rated a 3 stars, it is night and day so the rating is non sense.

- No WiFi in the rooms that aren't immediately around the lobby. - No organized parking spaces despite the massive amount of arriving vehicles. It's parking anarchy. - Instead of bringing their place up to par the owners are STILL trying to scam all visitors to the Nordkapp cliffs into thinking they need to pay for entrance to see them.

I was surprised how big this place actually is. The room we had provided enough space, the bed was really comfortable and the service was great. For dinner they offer a buffet with lots of choices so you have no waiting time after a long trip. 25 minutes from the north cape it is perfect to stay over night. There's also enough space to park your car near your room. I recommend staying here.

We were shunted from our scheduled hotel, the Scandic Honningsvag in town without warning or explanation. This hotel is a barracks style, and it reminded me of a large school camp, with a large mess hall (restaurant) that you walked to exposed to the weather. No availability to walk in cold or wet weather without the necessary clothes into the restaurant. We stayed in a tiny room, with a tiny bathroom about the size of a cruise ship, with no desk, no tv, no wifi in rooms, and poor lighting. The positives were a heated bathroom floor, and a heater in room, and all things considered with the temperature outside (in the middle of summer) at 5 degrees and constant drizzle, it was better than sleeping in the cold and rain.
