Scandic Parken

The room was nice but not functional for a family. There was not a single towel knob or a towel rack. We had to ask separately for towels and a floor towel because we were four but they only left two sets. The trash bins are way small for four people staying over night and sharing a space. Also no water kettle, which made it impossible to warm the food for our baby. No AC in the rooms apparently, just heating. ||The service was nice however and they did bring towels very quickly after asking. The breakfast buffet was plentyful and the cold things ver delicious but the bread was hard and dry and the waffles and pancakes were cold and hard.||The atmosphere at the hotel was nice also :) everyone was nice to our kids even when the kids were acting out :)

If you want a hotel with a central location, this is the one to go for. Parking available at extra cost. Breakfast excellent with so much choice. The only downside is nothing is open after breakfast on a Sunday. This is an issue we have encountered at other Scandic hotels and feel that it should be taken into consideration by the powers that be.

I had a wonderful stay at Scandic Parken Hotel. The location is excellent—right in the heart of Ålesund, within walking distance to everything, including the harbor, shopping streets, and the famous viewpoint Aksla. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, offering a fantastic view of the city and surrounding fjords. Breakfast was a real highlight—an impressive variety of fresh options including local specialties, fruits, pastries, and hot dishes. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. The overall atmosphere was warm and relaxing, making it a perfect base to explore this beautiful town. I highly recommend Scandic Parken to anyone visiting Ålesund!

very disappointed, the room booked is not provided, instead provide a  disabilities room with a connection room.  sleeping facing the connection door. very uneasy. talk to manager,  very rude, saying is their right to put us in this disabilities room (not the voucher we show them) . Also, the TV not working for 2 nights stay. staff  not helpful,. the toilet overflow due to chair attached to the show., so we use towels to soak the water.  No  room service and the room are stuffy. 

On of the better Scandic Hotel I have ever been to (and I have visited a few over the years). Located in the center, with stylish, clean and spacious rooms. As always I miss amenities in the room, but it is scandiv... The view is great from some of the rooms :)|Front staff is professional and the front desk area is huge. Breakfast is also better than you would expect from Scandic, so you will get a very good start on your day.||And final remarks. They might have the most service-minded bartender ever in the bar at the ground floor! She was outstanding, never met anyone stretching for the guests as she did. And never have I ever been to a bar, close to the reception, totally packed, and my guess it was because of that superb lady :)

Often I choose a Scandic hotel as a first place. Because it is a good quality. The Scandic Parken is very close to some places such as Aksla viewpoint, Meet point for getting to Geiranger fjords. And the beautiful views to see the sea and mountains. I love it

Excellent Hotel in an excellent town. Each member of the hotel team was very helpful and made our trip a very enjoyable and pleasant .

27°C in the room when I arrived. 27,5°C at 4am when I had enough. Ventilation is really insufficient for the summer.
