Scandic Parken

Good location in Alesund and a short walk away from the downtown. Rooms are not too big but acceptable. Breakfast for takeaway was organised and was decent with a sandwich and yogurt and juice. Just a short hike away from the viewpoint. Can recommend the hotel.

We stayed at Scandic Parken for 2 nights with our 18 month old daughter and it was an excellent base to explore Ålesund. Parking was very convenient with a door leading from the car park straight to the hotel elevator. We were able to check in early and the requested cot was already set up in our room. The room was spacious, modern and comfortable with a bath, which is ideal with a little one! Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Ålesund. We highly recommend.

Very good stay. Service was friendly, and the room was comfortable. Central location within walking distance to the city center. Staff were attentive, and the bartender made sure to accommodate our drinks even during a busy evening.

Scandic hotels are good and this one in Alesund is also very good although the beds are a little short being 182cm tall and the blanket was quite small so with every turn I lost the blanket||Also the matras was really soft so I did not had a good back support||Besides that I had a perfect stay

Stayed at Scandic for 2 nights. The rooms are decent and get the job done if you’re staying for 24-48 hours. The superior rooms have a nice view of the cityscape and the water The biggest downside: Went out to get fresh air around 1AM, standing outside on the hotel premises by the smoking area. Within a minute I was approached by a taxi driver (he appeared out of nowhere) who made me feel uncomfortable and tried to instigate a conversation despite giving clear signs that I am not interested and want to be left alone in peace and quiet. He was very persistent about talking to me. The moment I decided to step inside the hotel, the man ashed his cigarette and disappeared, very strange timing. I felt very uncomfortable, especially as a young woman. So much so, that I now feel anxious going outside alone downstairs. While this is not the hotels fault, this is an important point for people who like to have fresh air while sleeping at night… Do not open the windows between Friday and Saturday night, if you have the view towards the water. Unruly tourists get so drunk that they think it’s ok to be screaming between 1-4AM. I had one of the worst sleeps of my life because of that

Great location with bus to airport right outside the hotel! However room has no pantry tea coffee whatsoever. Other than that generally great location!

The room was nice but not functional for a family. There was not a single towel knob or a towel rack. We had to ask separately for towels and a floor towel because we were four but they only left two sets. The trash bins are way small for four people staying over night and sharing a space. Also no water kettle, which made it impossible to warm the food for our baby. No AC in the rooms apparently, just heating. ||The service was nice however and they did bring towels very quickly after asking. The breakfast buffet was plentyful and the cold things ver delicious but the bread was hard and dry and the waffles and pancakes were cold and hard.||The atmosphere at the hotel was nice also :) everyone was nice to our kids even when the kids were acting out :)

Good location and great rooms. Huge breakfast and got all that you need. Nice training facilities and they also have sauna.
