Scandic Parken

Overall, we had a pleasant experience at this hotel, though there were a few areas that could use improvement. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Our room was clean and well-maintained. The hotel’s location is perfect for a stay in the city. However, there were a few aspects that fell short of our expectations. The breakfast buffet was fairly average for the price. Lactose free products and local specialties like brown cheese were missing, which was a bit disappointing. The bathroom was functional but quite small, especially the shower. Additionally, there was no shower rug, leaving the floor wet and slippery after use. Lastly, the pillows provided in the room were a bit of a letdown. We found them uncomfortable, which led to some neck pain and headaches during our stay.

The location of this hotel was perfect for us (Alesund isn't very big anyway), and it was especially convenient that the bus from the airport stops right in front of the hotel entrance. The complimentary hotel breakfast was also the best breakfast I had out of all the hotels I stayed in on this trip to Norway, and probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had! Highly recommend staying here.

A hotel weekend in Aalesund do not get much better than staying at Scandic Parken. Perfect location on the "top of the city". Close to shopping, cafees, restaurants and last but not least a walk around in the citiy center. The staff are friendly and service minded. Bed quality is very good, and after a good night sleep you can enjoy a very nice brakfast at the hotels ground floor. A perfect start for the day. ||||Geir Aa

A really solid hotel choice in Alesund! The breakfast buffet is the best in town and location is excellent. Rooms have minimal amenities, but coffee is 24h downstairs and oh that breakfast! Great place and amazing value.

Very helpful and flexible. Dince I use dsily periodical fasting and do not est before after noon, I woul have been thankful for an offer of 'only room, without breakfast'. But the stagf wad veru helpful when I 'drank' my breakfast snd was permitted to bring with me a small portion of food for later use.

Very good Location, rooms with a view over the city, contemporary decoration, clean, parking available onsite but you have to pay for it. Breakfast good variety

The hotel is beautiful, the views of the city center and bay are simply amazing, we enjoyed our stay very much. The location could not be better, it is a just few steps from the shore, the city center as well as Aksla viewpoint is reachable by a short hike. The breakfast buffet was of great quality and choice, it was by far the best that we have experienced in Norway. It would be nice if parking was included given the high standard of the hotel, otherwise we do not have anything but high praise for Skandic Parken!

This was an extraordinary hotel room, mostly because of the view (sixth floor, towards the sea) and the interior design. I was a bit surprised that the sauna is divided from the gym room only by a glass wall which makes it feel less intimate as I would have wished. Otherwise great experience!
