Scandic St Jörgen

Recently I stayed at the location with my son. The staff is the best part of the hotel. They are so kind and helpful. However, the hotel is dark and lacks a personality on each floor. The room I stayed in had enough dust on the side tables to write on, a lamp with a stain, and no air. It is however close to things you would want to see as a tourist and very close to the central station.

The location is excellent, right in the city centre. Rooms are spacey and the bathroom was nice, recently remodelled. Breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of juice, coffee, tea and food.||Beds were a bit too soft, though and there was no safety box in the room.

We stayed with our family for 5 nights (9/8-14/8) in a family suite. Nice, big and clean room with a good bed and nice view! We were in Malmö during the festival (9/8-15/8). Nice festival spread all over the city, but also very crowdy in the centre. It was very hot in the city (28°) and also in our room. Airconditioning is realy necessary (because of the heat and the fact that you can't sleep with open windows (during the festivaldays because of the noise on the street). The Scandic-crew was very nice and helpful. The hotel is well located! You can park under the hotel. Easy and fast (not cheap) Like always the Scandic-breakfast was exceptional good and the breakfastcrew was super! (One extra coffeemachine with beans woud be nice for everyone) Can I give one note/tip? Do something with the bar. Make it more lightful! Paint it white, put the bar in the middle.... less seats... less is more... and do happyhour! We come back!

What a great place to stay for a night. Bathtub in the basic room and some nice shampoo to make bubble bath with. Super comfortable beds, spacious room, nice gym and very friendly service. The breakfast buffet was clearly organized and had everything and everything was good. Excellent experience!

Fantastisk placement for a hotel, nice parking basement. The room are quiet at night. Staffing is very helpful. The area is very nice and cozy, parks and restaurants close enough for a walk. All in all great. ||

Very friendly price 4 star hotel, with sauna, gym, big breakfast area, and huge room! It is possibly the best 4 star I have ever had. I was gonna rate it 5 stat but on the last day when I brought my luggage box to the breakfast area, one senior staff came to me and “tell” me to put the luggage box outside in a pretty rushy way. From what I heard when she chatted with other staff, this is how she talked so this doesn’t means she is rude to me, just that I am a grade deflator, so somehow I can find one reason to deduct this hotel by one star

We are a vegan family and usually don’t book breakfast when we stay at a hotel as we don’t want to cross-subsidise foods for others that we don’t consume ourselves for ethical reasons. This was an exception as it seemed impossible to find a hotel without breakfast included and above all, because one of the staff of Scandic S:t Jörgen got back to my inquiry about vegan breakfast items, telling us what would be available, which sounded really good. In reality, it was even better. ||The vegan breakfast at Scandic S:t Jörgen has been the best vegan breakfast we have ever had in a non-vegan hotel. Apart from the standard food (breads, cereals, fruit and veg, vegan yoghurts, milks, spreads etc.), we got vegan pancakes as well and from day 2 also vegan sausages. The staff in the breakfast room was super-friendly and super-helpful and the breakfast was really great every day. ||||Any hotel that really wants to be sustainable has to start with the foods they serve, so as long as these crazy amounts of animal products are provided that we saw every day there, true sustainability cannot be achieved. Therefore, I would really love to see the hotel advertising their vegan breakfast much more and, above all, expanding on this while reducing high-emission, cruelty-based animal foods at the same time. ||||

Among the positives are the location, comfortable beds, clean bedding and towels, the availability of detergents, as well as the silence on the floors and in the hotel itself. Relatively clean. Good breakfast, tasty and a good choice for both adults and children. Disliked: the rooms do not look like 4 stars. Outdated furniture, pictures, doors, fittings, floor. Dirty windows, elevators. The room lacks both air conditioning and general climate control. The water faucet in the shower was broken in the room. Only very hot water that constantly turns into boiling water. It is not possible to wash, you can get burns. Not acceptable!

I am super satisfied with my stay. Friendly staff. Great location. Decent rooms. If you are used to Scandic you will not be disappointed. You know what you get. And you will be happy to hear they actually have towels for the bathroom floor!! Not always the fact in Scandics I have noticed recently. Environmental toiletteries - meaning no small bottles. Bring conditioning though - long hair will not like the schampoo. Parking under the hotel is SEK240 per 24hrs. Breakfast is decent. Play room for kids in breakfast room. They have a small gym with 2 mills and a cross trainer (see photo) Hopefully you'll get a room with view, and not any of the many facing the inner yard which is just dull and nothing to see but other rooms windows. They accept AMEX.

We stayed here twice. Because we were three people travelling, be booked just one room for us - #324 was the one they gave us on both trips. ROOM It was quite big and comfortable. The room featured two single beds and sleeper (a.k.a. sofa bed), a TV, a table, a chair and a modern armchair. The bathroom was big as well and had a bathtub. Nothing could be heard from the hallway or the other rooms. The windows can be opened a bit (not so advisable on the weekends due to the quite noisy people on the street at night, during the week it's okay). Only one thing we didn't like that much - I've dropped something which fell under the sofa bed and there was a dust and two candy wrapping papers. BREAKFAST Was okay. Turkey breast, ham, salami, liver paste, two kinds of cheese, different sorts of jam, as well as scrambled eggs, sausages, warm vegetables, fresh fruits, delicious bread, a good variety of hot drinks. A lot of it was fair-trade and/or organic products and they also had gluten-free bread. STAFF In the entire hotel they were friendly, nice and very helpful.
