This was a good place to stay for its value in a super location, steps away from Lilla Torg and walking distance to many other sights and conveniences, like the Central Train Station. She’s a bit tired, this building, needing some serious investment $ into refurbishing, deep cleaning, and general maintenance. We felt pretty inconvenienced with the broken lift. There were people there working on it every day, but we made many trips up and down the two long flights of stairs for the duration of our stay. It seemed our heater in our room was off (beyond our control) most of the time, so we were a bit cold, despite trying to adjust it. We did enjoy the heated floor in the bathroom. The beds were fine, not spectacularly comfy. The breakfast in the morning was perhaps one of the highlights, along with the very friendly service of all the hotel staff we encountered. Thank you for a great stay!

Great Hotel. The rooms are small, but comfortable. I can't remember the last time I slept in a bed as comfortable as here. It felt like a cloud and I did not want to get up. The interior is warm, and the choise of breakfast is amazing. The hotel itself is located in a very convenient place, there are so many restaurants just a few steps from here, bars, kafe's and fast food around. Also it is only 10 minutes walk from the central metro station, so it is not hard to get here.

I guess I was very unlucky as they are currently renovating the exterior as well as upgrading the only lift they have. Something that is not immediately apparent is that despite being on the 4th floor you will still hear and feel every beat of a dance track playing in a nearby bar until 3am. What makes it worse is that work on the exterior starts at 8am sharp so you can imagine how restful it was staying there. Also with only 1 lift that they are upgrading means it was out of service so now there's a lot of stairs to climb. ADDITIONAL COMMENT TO THE REPLY: I was told that there were no available quiet rooms for me.

stay at Hotel Scandic Stortorget was absolutely wonderful! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, ensuring a smooth check-in and a comfortable experience throughout. The rooms were spotless, stylish, and well-equipped, providing the perfect balance of comfort and convenience. The breakfast selection was exceptional, with fresh and delicious options to start the day right. The hotel’s central location made it easy to explore the city, with great restaurants and attractions just a short walk away. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area—looking forward to returning.

Our stay was fabulous! We stayed a week here in a family room. The staff was lovely very nice and accommodating. We had an issue with shower and it was fixed next day which was great. The hotel is older building but has so much beauty and charm to it we loved it. We rented the hotel bikes several days and really enjoyed having them. The WiFi was great and shower pressure was perfect! And the breakfast omg you will not go hungry so many options. Oatmeal, crepes, eggs scrambled, hard boiled or soft. Bacon, sausage, tons of fruit, yogurt, jams and soooo much delicious bread! My son was obsessed with the croissants so fresh. The staff working breakfast shift is also very friendly. The hotel very clean as well. Would highly recommend this location if staying in Malmo.

Very disappointing. Stay somewhere else if you can. 1. Elevator not working (this doesn’t appear to be a temporary issue) 2. Scaffolding over building 3. Rooms too hot - no controllable air conditioning 4. Rooms very tired looking 5. Can not lock room from the inside (broken chain) 6. Next to a very noisy nightclub. Drunk people shouting in the street outside until 6am 7. Slow check in 8. Tried to charge me twice. Luckily my bank blocked the second attempt 9. Single beds pushed together that come apart No notification of the building works or broken elevator when we booked.

One of the worst hotels in this price range in Malmo. If you have a choice and not booking last minute, don't book this hotel. 0/5. Reasons: 1) Hotel staff communication online is extremely poor. We asked for a double bed instead of two single beds in a room and got a response that everything will be alright and they will provide it. When we arrived, the hotel didn't have any free double beds and they didn't actually made any preparations. We booked a family room for 3 persons, we got 2 sets of everything, so we had to ask for an additional set of beddings and towels. 2) The windows in the room were so old, that the wooden frames had cracks and gaps, which made the temperature in the room quite unpleasant during the night. The wind was loudly blowing inside these gaps. 3) => The windows are not soundproof enough AND there is an extremely busy nightclub/bar DIRECTLY below the hotel. Enjoy listening to the drunk people screaming and laughing all night. 4) As if it's not enough, the hotel is currently under renovation, so instead of city view your windows open directly into the scaffolding. Construction workers begin to work from 08:00 am, so - I just can't believe it - on Friday I woke up at 8 am, because a construction worker drilled a wall directly behind my bed. The experience was absolutely surreal. Thanks for the ruined Friday morning on holidays. 5) On the workdays, the breakfast is closing at 9 am. So, if you're on holidays and want to finally get some sleep, then screw you - you won't get a breakfast you paid for. Thanks for nothing, I guess. 6) They won't clean your room unless you will gave them 23 hours notice. 23. Hours. Notice. All the issues mentioned above are caused by insane greed of whoever manages this exact hotel. Other Scandic hotels in the close vicinity are relatively fine compared to this... whatever it is. So, if you're a traveler, avoid this place at all costs. If you're a staff of that hotel... well, you can't fix the mistakes of the managers. If you're a manager/owner of this hotel... well, probably you don't really care about anything written above.
