One of the worst hotels in this price range in Malmo. If you have a choice and not booking last minute, don't book this hotel. 0/5.
Reasons:
1) Hotel staff communication online is extremely poor. We asked for a double bed instead of two single beds in a room and got a response that everything will be alright and they will provide it. When we arrived, the hotel didn't have any free double beds and they didn't actually made any preparations. We booked a family room for 3 persons, we got 2 sets of everything, so we had to ask for an additional set of beddings and towels.
2) The windows in the room were so old, that the wooden frames had cracks and gaps, which made the temperature in the room quite unpleasant during the night. The wind was loudly blowing inside these gaps.
3) => The windows are not soundproof enough AND there is an extremely busy nightclub/bar DIRECTLY below the hotel. Enjoy listening to the drunk people screaming and laughing all night.
4) As if it's not enough, the hotel is currently under renovation, so instead of city view your windows open directly into the scaffolding. Construction workers begin to work from 08:00 am, so - I just can't believe it - on Friday I woke up at 8 am, because a construction worker drilled a wall directly behind my bed. The experience was absolutely surreal. Thanks for the ruined Friday morning on holidays.
5) On the workdays, the breakfast is closing at 9 am. So, if you're on holidays and want to finally get some sleep, then screw you - you won't get a breakfast you paid for. Thanks for nothing, I guess.
6) They won't clean your room unless you will gave them 23 hours notice. 23. Hours. Notice.
All the issues mentioned above are caused by insane greed of whoever manages this exact hotel. Other Scandic hotels in the close vicinity are relatively fine compared to this... whatever it is.
So, if you're a traveler, avoid this place at all costs. If you're a staff of that hotel... well, you can't fix the mistakes of the managers. If you're a manager/owner of this hotel... well, probably you don't really care about anything written above.
