Scandic Swania

This is probably one of the best Scandic hotels in Sweden! Maybe the best! Very nice staff! You felt really welcomed! Especially a young guy who came and asked at breakfast if we wanted more coffee! When we left breakfast he wished us a nice day! He really has a future ahead of him! Nothing to complain about at all! The next day we stayed at Scandic Opalen in Gothenburg and it was far from the same experience! We will definitely be back next year!

We booked a junior suite for a family of five. The room was as expected — not the newest, but clean and with enough space for a family. Great location by the canal, and a good breakfast. No private parking, but if you arrive early, you might find a free street spot (free overnight). Otherwise, there’s a parking garage nearby, though it’s a bit pricey.

It was okay. Breakfast was amazing. Found cheese doodles under the bed though, so maybe the housekeepers should check the room more and clean it more. Said to the receptionist to come up with a pillow and a blanket, only came up with a pillow though. I like the location of the hotel though, been here before. Love Trollhättan.

The hotel had exellent location in the center of Trollhattan, and the staff service was also excellent. But that period of time in july was very hot, and the room had no aircondition, so it was almost like sleeping in a sauna. So unfortunately we had a bad sleep quality experience. But i would like to go back and visit the town and stay at the same hotell in another period of the year, except the summer.

Lovely location by the water and a beautiful inner city trail hike along said water. Great for walking the dog. Rooms and breakfast were standard Scandic classics of meatballs, princess korv, eggs , lunch meats etc ... We had an issue our first morning with an impact drill waking us, as they were doing renovations. We requested another room and they gave us a generous upgrade and care package to apologize for the inconvenience. All the staff was amazing and kind from check in to poor Ida who had to handle my angry awakening (apologies again) I'd also like to apologise if I seemed rude to the tall morning clerk for not responding as I took the dog out for his early morning pee.

I had a great stay at the Scandic Swania Hotel in Trollhättan. The room was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing atmosphere. The excellent location made it easy to access nearby attractions and amenities. One of the highlights was the large window, which allowed plenty of natural light and added to the overall pleasant ambiance. The breakfast was also fantastic, offering various delicious options to start the day. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience. Everything felt well-organized and well-maintained. Overall, it was a perfect stay, and I recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel with a long past and careful and clever renovation. Perfect mix of excellent location, attentive staff, beautiful rooms and delicious breakfast (left-overs are given to charity). And great for kids with a need for activation.

Hotel Scandic Swania provided a relaxing shelter for my active easter holiday. The room was large and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my holiday a lot. Besides the hotel located right in the city center.

Den vegetariska maten som serverades på studentbalen var en stor besvikelse. Icke vegetariska maten som serverades var två bitar ryggbiff med någon form av potatis och tillbehör, medans den vegetariska var endast en svamp, en sparris, två små morots skivor och en krossad potatis. Jag fick dessutom min mat 20-25 min efter alla andra mina vänner vid bordet fick sin mat. Alla hade hunnit äta upp för länge sedan innan min mat ens hade kommit. Dålig service och personalen hade ingen koll alls trots flera tillsägelser. Även de andra som beställt vegetariskt fick vänta mycket länge, men jag fick vänta allra längst. Sjukt besviken och tråkig upplevelse.

We booked a four bed suite on telephone, and although we were told (and paid for) four "real" beds, we recieved one king size bed and two camp beds instead. Very disappointing. Then we went down to complain and ask for one of those rooms, and then they didn't have any four bed rooms... I asked why they said we would get four bed suite but didn't really get any answer. Then we had to pay extra to correct a mistake they made. As I said the reservation was made on telephone, therefore it wasn't something we mistook on their webpage. Well, after spending about 400 SEK or about €40 extrato correct their mistake, we changed rooms again. The new room was not cleaned properly, towels on floor, several long hair and short curly hairs left in bathroom.. Off again to complain, and we got another room that was okay but left some to wish for, but now we were tired and silently squirmed, tired of "making a scene". Typically swedish. And we are not grumpy, pedantic people.. This establishment was just too much. The last thing we saw of the place was the breakfast. All. The. Tables. Were. Full... -_- There is three dining rooms and not enough for all guests. There were more standing guests. Just..... WTF. One thing of the above would have been "acceptable" but all this mishappens.. We grabbed some stuff and sat at a bartable for a while. Nice. It was under all expectations, AND they are allowed to use the "Scandic" logo.. I have to name something positive (everything else may have been stained by our overall experience) Clean sheets, edible food, central,quiet.
