Scandic Triangeln

The rooms are nice and the views are cool with big windows. Close to everything in town. The breakfast is good and feels fresh nothing unique though. The only bad thing is the TV's it is not possible to cast or use streaming apps on them.

Really convenient location , check in was quick and easy. Our room was on the 16th floor , clean and well presented with gorgeous views of Malmö. Reception had a small store where local treats or necessities could be purchased and staff were friendly and helpful. We usually stay around Malmö C but will definitely be back to Scandic Triangeln going forward.

The hotel’s location and the staff’s general attitude are very good, which explains many of the positive reviews. However, the cleanliness did not meet the expectations of a four-star hotel. The room was only superficially cleaned. Besides a piece of chewing gum under a small table, there were food remnants (noodles/dried pasta) under the desk, a snus can and a bag of chips under the bed, and a raisin in the corner of the room. This indicates a lack of thorough cleaning. In the elevator, an energy drink can was present from the first day, later joined by a half-eaten apple, and both remained there for some time. The breakfast was very basic, lacked variety, and did not reflect four-star standards. There were also no services for children, such as a playroom, special welcome, or any small gesture for young guests. Additionally, the gym was closed or unavailable on one day of the stay without explanation. The hotel has the potential to offer a much better overall experience.

Good location south of the city centre. Everything in walking distance. Trianglen train station is served by many trains from other Swedish cities and from Copenhagen. Rooms are comfortable. Like in all Scandic hotels room cleaning is done on request only, but it is free. WiFi should also be free, and reception was okay in the corridors, but not in our room. From our three devices, one had sometimes WiFi reception, one rarely and one never. Staff at the front desk were sorry but couldn't help. They recommended a different network (which uses the same transmitters, so no improvement on coverage) and gave us a written instruction on how to change WiFi networks on IPhones (we have Androids, so no solution). Breakfast is good, but you have to book a 45-minute time slot online, still the room is crowded and noisy. No coffee or tea facilities in standard rooms. Overall: just okay, satisfied, will return

Be careful with what they charge you! Online web confirmation on Scandic web and what was charged is different by over 1000 SEK! I think I was overcharged because of an error with them applying a member rate on two rooms we booked. I’ve tried to get them to explain why things don’t match from web to email to final bill and they keep blaming currency exchange even tho the room rates don’t match. It took 10 emails to get a manager to respond and since then silence from them, still no legitimate explanation. Really irresponsible. They also charged me currency difference for a room we cancelled 3 months ago because they processed it day later. They are doing some weird things with payments moving payments on the day even tho rooms were prepaid. They said they would refund that charge and they didn’t. Overall bad experience and wouldn’t recommend anymore. Edit: It’s been over two months since last communication where they promised to refund some parts and nothing was refunded or properly explained. Scam

Great location, massive room. Did not have a fridge but everything else was there with lots of extra room, sheets were clean and smelled nice. Breakfast was very good. Includes many options both warm and cold and vegetarian, highly recommend. Wasn’t overly expensive

The rooms are massive however no mini bar or tea / coffee making facilities which I think put a downer on the whole hotel. Only has three lifts so when breakfast is going it’s chaos getting down or up. If you want your room cleaned you need to request it, bit of an odd one, but worth noting if you didn’t know. Over all a good hotel for a quick stay, I just brought coffee / tea else where and brought it back

Our stay was great. We were in Malmö one day prior to the Malmöfestivalen so a lot of streets were closed and it was very busy (in a good way) our suite was on the 16th Floor with great views over the bridge and the city. The room was clean, had fresh fruits, applejuice and water. The only thing we ‘misser’ was a small fridge. Breakfast was as expected. It’s nothing crazy, just good.

This former Hilton hotel that has been turned into a Scandic is one of the taller buildings in central Malmö so if you get a room on a high floor it offers nice views of the city. If not the gym is on the top floor so the views can also be enjoyed from there. The hotel has been renovated but still has an old and stuffy feel to it in many public areas. The upstairs (2nd floor) restaurant has however been nicely renovated but for some reason it appears it's only used for breakfast. The entrance level restaurant is used in the evenings and that totally lacks charm and that is still the best aorta of it as the food is barely fit for human consumption. It is actually amazing that they can be so bad - they have totally failed with simple dishes like burger, steak and caesar salad. What makes it even more strange is that they serve a really good breakfast so it must be intentionally lowering ambitions and quality during evenings. The rooms are most of time large, light and airy. The bed comfortable and the bathroom fairly newly renovated. Dislike the big bottles of shower gel and shampoo - understand the environmental aspect but I like the small little bottles. The gym is nice and modern and actually has decent equipment. The service is very much up and down and it does tend to be busy at times so can be a wait at checkout especially. It is not a bad hotel but also does not really deliver any great things so cannot rate it more than 3 stars.

I've really enjoyed my stay here, which was a week. The location of this place is great, being near the train station and within walking distance to Old Malmo. The staff here (with the possible exception of the bar staff) have all been helpful and friendly, the rooms well appointed, and the breakfast... Fantastic. Seriously, best hotel breakfast ever. The views are great, as well.

Great service, good ambience and atmosphere. Love this hotel !
