Scandic Uplandia

Really good location. Parking garage is in the same building, underneath the hotel. Great thing. Helps with the luggage a lot. Restaurant at the hotel was closed for some reason. Breakfast was served. Hotel is okay for short trips but I can imagine the room getting hot in the summer. During our stay was rainy and cooler than normally. So air conditioning was not something we needed. We stayed just one night. The receptionist in the hotel was very friendly. You can go to gym and sauna during your stay.

I stayed with my family on a trip to Uppsala for a conference. The “family room” was two single beds and a pull-down bunk. With the bunk pulled down there was very little space in the room. With temperatures in the mid-to-low 20s the air conditioning did not get the room cool enough at night. The room did not have a fridge. The location is great as was the (included) daily breakfast.

Overall, very good experience. The personnel were nice and helped us getting into our rooms as soon as possible. The location of the hotel is excellent, between the central railway station and the cathedral. The breakfast was rich, varied and abundant. The rooms were very comfy. I personally experienced only a minor inconvenience, as one of the towels in my bathroom was not perfectly clean, but this was really a minor thing and I believe it was more an exception than a frequent thing. In general, I'd recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed five nights at Scandic Uplandia, in a junior suite, allowing us extra room to spread out, with mini-fridge, two bathrooms, two desks, etc. Everyone was friendly, and the hotel makes a true effort at sustainability, including collecting compost. We attended an academic conference at Uppsala University, an easy walk from the hotel. Shops including the ICA supermarket across the street make this a prime location.

Some guest at the hotel threw wet trash from the window of the top floor. It hit my aunt with a smack. We saw the window and notified the staff. They assured us that they would adress it and we left. Two hours later we came back to find out what the hotel had done about it and the new guy in the lobby had no idea what we were talking about. They assure us that they would do something about it but I have my doubts. We left feeling angry and disappointed. My aunt felt humiliated. Well done you guys.

I had an amazing stay at Scandic Uplandia! From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and ensure I had everything I needed. They were genuinely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The room was comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities I could ask for, making it feel like a home away from home. We stayed at the Scandic Upplandia hotel for the duration of the dance competition in Uppsala with the entire team of dancers and their parents. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a nice receptionist who had room cards ready. The rooms were nice and clean. Some rooms were a bit colder for us, but it was possible to get a direct heater at the reception. The breakfasts had a large selection and were tasty, the staff always nice and friendly. The location of the hotel in the center was great. If we go to Uppsala again, we will definitely stay in the same hotel.

There are other hotels of higher standard in the area at the same or lower price/rate.||We had a small room with two beds and asked for a bathtub. Bathtub did not work and as it was Saturday afternoon there was nothing to do.||Breakfast was crowded, but typical scandinavian - could really be improved with better organisation and a supervisor present. People from the street could just walk in.

A good and friend hotel in city center that allows dogs. Straff was supper friendly and service-minded that made you feel special. Food in the bistro is about avrage but could be better and not much to choice from if you are a vegeterian or only eat chicken and fish. Breakfast is just above average and it dos the job for most people but the downside is they cut up so much fruits and after the pandemic and especially in Sweden it feels unhygienic and unsafe to eat. But in all breakfast is good. The rooms are ok nothing special but good and the cleaning staff is super friendly and helpful. The gym is good and has all you need to keep in shape, but the sauna and the showers need a makeover and more regular cleaning During my 3 nights the showers was not clean even if i told them after the first night that the show was full of hair and you could see the hair was from more intimate parts. So if the clean they showers, put up some hooks for towels, fix the bucket in the sauna like buying a new one, put a thermometer in the sauna and maybe add some hocks or shelving, a hairdryer the sauna would be a great pleace visit again. The best thing would be a phone with a direct line to reception so you could order drinks like water, coffee and fruit and so one without having to leave the sauna area as it is on a sperat floor in the building from the reception.

I arrived early in the morning and they accommodated me by letting me check in early. I asked for a quiet room and they delivered. I really appreciate the service. The room is small but functional. Beds are soft and comfy. Free wi-fi. It's a bare bones room but I won't be here for long so it's fine. Central location is walking distance to restaurants, bars, and stores.

I stayed in this hotel few times on my business trips. +The centrality of the hotel is amazing. +Amazing breakfast buffet +Friendly staff both at the reception and the restaurant +Good food in the restaurant for dinner BUT: - Rooms are lacking minibar -Sometimes rooms are cold. *once the room was really really cold that I caught a cold overnight. however the time after that I asked the staff for extra heater which they told me to not use it after 9-10pm because it makes a lot of noise and it can bother the other rooms (!) Overall this hotel for me is four stars, if and only if they fix the heating problem because I can get over the mini bar issue as reception is selling food and beverage 24/7.
