Scandic Uppsala Nord

Hard beds for us, but over all it was one of the best hotels we've been to! Love the staff and they've even got a little room for the little ones!

It was a great weekend stay for us. Staffs are friendly and welcoming and patient with my kids noise. Hotel has a play area for kids which is super great and other stuffs to do. Great breakfast too ;) Definitely will come back whenever will be in Uppsala.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the dining room also provided a nice dinner which we had the first night. There was a gym which was very adequate. The parking was free and plentiful. The staff were kind, helpful, friendly and welcoming. It was an excellent experience.

The dinner at Scandic Uppsala Nord was not tasty at all. Second night we drove to Gränbystaden to eat fast food instead. ||Rooms are small. When we came to the room the heating had been off so it was super cold. There was no heating in the bathroom so it was freezing to take a shower in the morning. ||There were no drawers to put clothes in.

I reserved a room with a queen bed. The actual bed was a double and far too narrow for two people to sleep comfortably by American standards. We did not try to fix because we were exhausted. Looks like the hotel would be great for families with small children, but we were a senior couple that really did not matter.

We checked in very late at night along with booking same evening. We had to make a trip to the childrens emergency room from Bålsta so driving back so late and with all the ice on the roads was not safe. Am very grateful we were able to get a room. In any other circumstances I would really appalled at the price but for the situation I would have paid double for the 8 hours we got. The breakfast was disappointing but one of the women fixed it for us as the little one with us just wanted pancakes and they didn’t have any. But she managed to fix a few for her. Fruit , bottled water & hot drinks should be complimentary…especially for the price paid.

The hotel is quite good, the position is not very strategic respect the center of Uppsala, but the buses are sufficient to cover any distances. Because of the long daylight period, the rooms should have a more efficient darkening system: tents in my ross were too thin to block out sunlight...

Price and quality do not correlate at all
