Scandic Winn

The standard room was tidy and fairly spacious. However, I struggled with service.|The first morning I asked for a kettle (I had tea and coffee with me so this was not asked) and I was promised one by a cheerful front desk officer once I returned the hotel after the day. |In the afternoon I asked again from another front desk officer and I was told "my room rate is not high enough" but there is hot water around the corner. I went there but there were no cups so I needed to return and I was given one with a long sigh. It would have been alright if I was not promised one from the very beginning.|At breakfast a lot of the produce was dry and did not look pleasant to eat from the moment the breakfast room was opened. The variety of food was good but if you need to keep the vegetables, cheese slices, herbs and such in the fridge over night, maybe cover them so that they do not look bone dry in the morning... unfortunately the situation did not change over the three days.||Despite these few drawbacks I would return the hotel and give it another go.

It’s a decent 3 stars hotel: you get what you pay for. Customer service is good but there’s one thing that I can’t brush over: safety. I lost my key card on day 3 of my stay, I went to the reception desk and asked for a new and they just gave it to me. Not checking my ID, nothing. I felt really unsafe afterwards knowing that any random person can get access to my room.

+ : good breakfast, nice relax room and good location - : we have booked a room for 4. A room for 2 was given to us at first with a view on a wall and when we have asked to change to have just what we have paid for, only one room for 4 was available and the room was in front of the elevators and on street side so very very noisy! And to add more noise there was works on the front face of the hotel - the room for 4 (with 2 children) is small - The girl from the welcome desk told us the breakfast was from 6.30 am to 10.30 am only after we ask for it . The 2nd day the breakfast was closed from 9.30 because of "the winter time " no one has informed us. The price is high and the general quality is not as expected.

Place is good nightstay between Oslo and Stockholm. We were 2 adults and two kids. They have foldable beds for kids. Breakfast was average, but fullfilling. Staff was very cooperative. I did miss Coffee machine or hot water for tea in my room. Also Minibar was not there. But, that’s probably because of the wrong choice during booking. They have cheap and huge community parking in front of the hotel. Paid barely 70 SEK for parking at night. Hotel has its own private parking which is a bit expensive.

Everything is very good in Scandic Winn hotell In Karlstad. I have stayed there many times and always look forward to their excellent breakfast, something to long for. So yummy. The personell is very nice and gladly answers your question(s).

After choosing this hotel from pictures on thier website I was terribly disapointed when opening the door and saw this 80-90´s room, also with a bad smell. I went to the reception to see if I could get another room but the receptionist claimed they were fully booked. Her colleauge expressed that they have an "uneven product" aka. they know that thier prodcut doesn´t reflect the pictures on thier website.||Also, later I found mould in the shower, a broken bathroom mirror light and that the bed was so-so.||This is actually the worst Scandic I´ve stayed in out of the around 15 previous ones.||I guess they have good rooms as well, but do you dare to take a chance you get one of those - I know I wouldn´t. ||So (first and) last time I stayed at this hotel.

Hotel up to Scandic's standards. The room was roomy and clean. Recently renovated. Staff was helpful and friendly. Carage is not free, but makes life easy. Breakfast had nice variety, not too many lactose free products, however. Ice coffee was great 👍 Gym was quite limited but not bad for a free one. There is a sauna available from request as well

The hotel was very clean and located in a calm yet central area. The breakfast was excellent and the service too. I can recommend the hotel for every business trip, ||Thank you for the opportunity to stay at Scandic Winn,
