I'm obsessed with the meal my mom and I shared over the holiday season. Admittedly, I'm a bit of a food snob (I'm from up north, I travel, I worked at whole foods... you get the idea). But let me tell you, our food was some of the most delicious things we've ate dining out.
We shared the baked brie appetizer, adding raspberries & almonds, and we absolutely scraped that dish clean. We'd probably lick it if nobody was watching. Selfishly, we wanted more than 8 pieces of their toasted homemade bread, but our amazing server (Ivy) read our minds and brought more. For our main course, I had the penne with mushrooms (adding the homemade sausage) and my mom enjoyed the dinnet special porterhouse pork. The sauce on the pork was lovely, a savory blueberry flavor, and it was cooked so well that you only had to use a butter knife to cut it. The fresh pasta is something I'm glad I get to enjoy over and over, as it's a menu staple. We ended our meal with the petite pot thing (it's like this epic chocolate custard with a ridiculously good caramel sauce) and we just stared at each other in awe after our first bite. Yeah, it's that good.
Also, they redid their floors (due to the flooding) and theyre absolutely gorgeous.
Overall 12/10, chefs kiss, fives stars, a++
