Amazing!! It only took us a year of hearing about Scarpa’s to get down to try it! Everything was delicious; from the drinks to the meal itself! We could tell the owners (friends we met through Magenta) poured a huge part of their hearts into the Boca Grande community! It takes a lot to impress my hubby with food choices and he went with the grouper and the first word out of his mouth was “wow”!! Our server Dale went above and beyond for us and agreed that we have found our new special occasion location! If ever in Boca Grande…come see Scarpa’s Coastal!! met

So good!! We ate here twice while in BG. We loved their sausage & pepper app. We did takeout this time around, ravioli w/ meat sauce & fet alf. & Italian sausage. The pasta is so homemade & the Alf sauce was perfect, not too heavy , just right! I def recommended the food & will 100% be back next visit . Thank you for the delish food!!

My partner and I visited Scarpas over the weekend for a fancy night out, and we had a wonderful time! Bert was our server and she was delightful! She gave us menu recommendations and was very attentive to our table. We never went without drinks or bread, when we wanted it. For drinks we had the Mai Tai and the Seagrape Lemon drop. Both were strong, so we ended up sipping them throughout dinner. They were great though! For an appetizer we were torn between the muscles and prosciutto wrapped shrimp, and ultimately the shrimp won out. The appetizer portion was 4 shrimp, of good size, so bear that in mind if you have larger parties. For dinner I had the penne with mushrooms, with fresh house made pasta!, and my partner had the chicken marsala with twice baked potatoes (yum), broccolini, and spaghetti squash. Both of our meals were delicious! Next time we will stay for dessert!

I'm obsessed with the meal my mom and I shared over the holiday season. Admittedly, I'm a bit of a food snob (I'm from up north, I travel, I worked at whole foods... you get the idea). But let me tell you, our food was some of the most delicious things we've ate dining out. We shared the baked brie appetizer, adding raspberries & almonds, and we absolutely scraped that dish clean. We'd probably lick it if nobody was watching. Selfishly, we wanted more than 8 pieces of their toasted homemade bread, but our amazing server (Ivy) read our minds and brought more. For our main course, I had the penne with mushrooms (adding the homemade sausage) and my mom enjoyed the dinnet special porterhouse pork. The sauce on the pork was lovely, a savory blueberry flavor, and it was cooked so well that you only had to use a butter knife to cut it. The fresh pasta is something I'm glad I get to enjoy over and over, as it's a menu staple. We ended our meal with the petite pot thing (it's like this epic chocolate custard with a ridiculously good caramel sauce) and we just stared at each other in awe after our first bite. Yeah, it's that good. Also, they redid their floors (due to the flooding) and theyre absolutely gorgeous. Overall 12/10, chefs kiss, fives stars, a++

I’m glad we made a reservation because the place was packed and we still couldn’t get in until 9 pm. The people working there were very friendly and the food was very good! The crab cake was especially delicious. I would definitely eat here again!

Google
I guess my expectations were not exceeded. We went for my parents 51st anniversary and made that clear several times. The food was good.. the service was good... but the table was just okay ..the atmosphere was just okay. This was a Sunday night and there were only four or five tables filled.. they could have done so much more. They did nothing at all to celebrate this big event.. not even sending out a manager or even the hostess to say happy anniversary ...let alone a piece of cake or dessert which we have often received on the house at other restaurants. That being said, we enjoyed our meal and if it was a regular night I think I would probably give them higher accolades. But by no means was this a five star experience which you expect for $100+ a person . On a positive note, they had my favorite red wine by the glass : prisoner $25 and moms favorite scotch : Oban for $24 a glass. Be prepared to spend $ 100+ a person for a nice meal with salad (extra) and 2 drinks- no appetizers. The bread was good..hotter then the meal but the olive oil was bland and had no roasted garlic at all. Overall a 3 star rating. We enjoyed it but nothing fabulous.

Google
The best so far on the island. Great atmosphere...more on the classy side but not pretentious. Started with a crab cake, which was loaded with crab vs lots of filler. We each ordered fish dinners, which were cooked to perfection. Nice tart key lime pie. Jessica, our server was friendly, helpful and efficient. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We had one of the best dinners ever! I have a gluten allergy & their gluten free fettuccine was amazing! Michelle, our server, went out of her way to make us happy. Beautiful atmosphere & overall great experience!

Kate E.

Yelp
This place was absolutely excellent! Everything from our server to the ambiance to the amazing food...I am looking forward to brining my husband next time. I knocked a star off for price...it was just a bit extremely priced in my opinion. I wasn't surprised by that given its location, but that does factor into my rating. For example, my grouper was $46. That being said, the food was five stars. My server worked well with me for my dietary restrictions (gluten free most importantly for me) and I felt confident the kitchen would follow through; and they did as I felt fine in the days after. The honey almond sauce was a nice dairy free option for me and was so different than anything else I've had. The asparagus was thick and cooked perfectly, just like the cut of grouper. I just love when even the sides are five star worthy. Date night prices, but you won't leave disappointed. Instead you'll have a great well rounded experience and your taste buds will thank you.

Yelp
We go every year and this is top of our list. Never been disappointed. We go this year at the end of February and will let you know if my opinion changes.

Christina B.

Yelp
Service was VERY slow (took an hour and a half for our food) but the entrees were good

MJ M.

Yelp
The owners and staff are amazing. They care they use quality ingredients. They will make sure you're happy and have a good experience. And on top of everything, it is delicious.

Jenny M.

Yelp
4 stars for scarpas. Our waitress was the sweetest and gave us recommendations for the island. We got there right at 5 hoping to get in, which we luckily did. We ordered clams linguini and shrimp Diablo -- both of us thought our pasta was OKAY, not great. The mussels we had for our app were also just OKAY. The sauce was thick and more cheese creamy.

Mikie W.

Yelp
The restaurant is in a shared space in downtown Boca grande. It was clean and had a coastal feel while still maintaining an upscale dining experience. I had the crab cake appetizer. It was very good. It was a bit small but the flavor was there. My entree was the seafood fettuccine with Alfredo sauce. It was delicious. It had crab, scallops, lobster, and shrimp. The shrimp did have the tail on which I didn't care for since it was in pasta but overall, it was a tasty dish. The service was great. They checked on me frequently and boxed my leftovers for me. They also boxed up bread to-go. Overall, I'd recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Local ( FL couple ) who are seasoned restauranteurs ( they have another place in Lakeland) bring a nice team effort to the island. Across the street from the main traditional competition the Scarpa team brings a much needed, high quality Italian fare. Fresh pastas mixed with fresh seafood is a macho combo ( not sure if that is Italiano ). Multiple homemade pasta selections and traditional Italian traditions of veal, chicken, Lasagna, etc.... Wine is not stored properly and temp and dry cork prove the point. Ok selections but limited. Need more Italian selections in my opinion to match the great food. Prices high as one might expect on an island and for higher food cos5 items like veal. But Pasta dishes were reasonably priced for being homemade and quality. LOTS of staff and attentive. Refreshing in a restaurant today. Nice addition to the island and Gaspar is smiling.....even though he was not Italiano!

Doug M.

Yelp
Left a review 4 years ago about very slow food service, etc. After a few years of acceptable food and service, we experienced another terrible night. Main course took almost 90 minutes to be served and everything was cold. To their credit they did not charge for the main courses.

Sheryl B.

Yelp
Food was awesome! Had the special 1/23/2024, it was the best filet Oscar I've ever had. Always have the chefs special wherever you eat at. You won't regret it! My husband had the seafood penne, he said it was delicious! Hayden was the best waiter! He made our dining experience the best ever. We will definitely go back to that restaurant and hopefully have Hayden as our waiter.

Trey L.

Yelp
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Fresh fish, excellent pasta dishes and delicious desserts!

Jessica S.

Yelp
Give us went here in search of a nice dinner and every one of us enjoyed our dinner. The crab cakes were outstanding! Aside from having something else but bread pudding as the starch there isn't a single complaint. The food, service and ambience was amazing.

Thomas L.

Yelp
Walked the entire town....everybody closed. Gave these folks a shot on a whim. Nice place and the service was very good. The two couple got 4 appetizers and we were going to split and try stuff. The single crab cake about the size of a half dollar was difficult to split. :-(. Also while mussel portion was a bit better the mussels were a bit below average and not very hot....room temp. Salads were good with veggies and dressings fresh. We had a few okay drinks but the long beach ice tea came in a hurricane glass chock full of ice to the top and was very very watery and incredibly expensive. As was the nonalcoholic bear and the orange Cosmo. 4 people, two drinks each, no entrees just apps and salads..... Over $180 including tip and tax. We left hungry and no worries for the drinkers walking the mile to the marina.

Britni E.

Yelp
The best homemade pasta you'll ever have at a restaurant. Great ambiance. Service is quick and thorough. Love this place

Sandy G.

Yelp
Food was excellent, had a good dining service, but I cannot say I had good service with the hostess named Aliyah, her, a blonde girl and another girl was working her name is Sabina, super sweet gal and treated me and my husband very nicely, and made sure we got a good table and gave us a great experience, cannot say the same about the other one unfortunately, she was very rude and kept rolling her eyes and gave me an attitude and told me I had no reservation that day when in fact I did, because one of the hostesses called to confirm that same day, whoever hired that girl needs to reconsider because I felt like I did not belong there and made me uncomfortable, felt awful, she was incredibly rude, stop hiring rude staff that isn't nice or professional to returning customers, because of this incident me and my husband will no longer return to Scarpas.

Denise T.

Yelp
Ambiance inside is great, but early April called for beautiful outdoor dining. Once seated, bread is brought to your table. (It's like they know about my love for bread) Highly recommend the stuffed portobello for appetizer and the Caesar salad for starter. Husband said it was the best Alfredo he's had. -Kids menu available -If you don't see a drink you want on the menu, they have a full bar and can make something else for you.

Leo B.

Yelp
This was our first time to dine at this restaurant. We sat upstairs in one of the booths which made the noise level to be much lower. The wait staff was efficient, friendly, but seemed to rush us a bit. He took our order without writing it down and missed the salad order-only to insist my wife ordered something different (he got it wrong). The food preparation was excellent-all salads were fresh and the portion size adequate for one person and not too large-probably too small to share though. The entrees were also of the perfect size. The mussel and pasta dish was overflowing with mussels-a really generous serving. The shrimp diablo was not too spicy, mild enough for those who can't handle too much spiciness. The only reason for a four star rating versus five was the level of service.

Curtis S.

Yelp
Scarpa's is the best food in Boca Grande. The staff are great, the ambiance is nice (but nothing special), but the real star of the show is the food. Compared to the other options on the island, Scarpa's has the best food by a landslide. I'd recommend Scarpa's as the first stop to any visitor who wants to get a dinner in Boca. I've been here many times, and will be returning.

Jeff M.

Yelp
Food was great. Good service and nicely quiet. Chicken Marsala Avocado Toast Bronzed Snapper

Gaz H.

Yelp
Casual attitude in what is technically a fine dining environment. Some excellent food moves (bacon wrapped shrimp) and some misses (sweet almandine sauce on a grouper?), but overall competent and worthwhile. Long Island suburban vibe. Get your chicken parm on and grab a cocktail.

Kimmy L.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my trip to Scarpa's. Their drink selection was awesome and the wait staff was friendly and hilarious! I enjoyed my entire experience- from sitting in the cute window alcove to getting help choosing my meal. I went with linguini and clams- flavorful and lemony!!!! I'd definitely get it again. To be honest- the dessert is lacking. They pot de creme was the only chocolate option, which was sad for me. It was good but I wanted some texture with it! Our great server brought us strawberries to dip! I like how clean it is here and good food. Would recommend.

Wes K.

Yelp
We hit Scarpa's after a long day on the water and they took good care of us. The chef was cooking a bronzed snapper as a special and several at our table had that and found it tasty. We also had a couple folks try the seafood pasta and at dinner's end they were a part of the clean plate club, so I expect it was excellent too. We had the bruschetta and fried egg plant as appetizers and they were great starters. We even stuck around for dessert and had creme brûlée, Key lime pie and the raspberry tart thing - I forget what they called it. The service was good and fast and we got filled up with excellent Italian fare. I'd recommend coming here versus the Temp because they've gotten uppity there and seem to forget about their customers that have been coming in forever. Scarpa's is happy to have you and we enjoyed ourselves.

James H.

Yelp
Waitress was great food terrible pay 10 for a Caesar salad basic dressing with grated Parmesan Instead of shaved real Parmesan. Chicken parmigiana with overcooked penne very tough chicken. Better quality and portions for way less at your local diner. Sad just a rich town where nobody cares, won't ever go to BOCA grande again.

Darcy C.

Yelp
Delicious and unique choices albeit rather costly. Unusual setting but fits the island atmosphere. Our waitress was very attentive.

Emily P.

Yelp
A surprisingly airy and large restaurant within walking or driving (golf cart) distance on Boca Grande. The food was tasty and our server had great recommendations for wine and cocktails! A little overpriced but we had a great table and attentive wait staff!

Norm C.

Yelp
We made reservations (highly recommended) here for our anniversary dinner and it was great. We had a window seat table for two which was very cozy. Our server Rolando was very nice and very efficient. We decided to split some appetizers, salad and a main dish and frankly had more than enough. The bread was crisp and tasty and the olive oil dip superb. Our appetizers were equally good. We had eggplant and it was thin and light and crispy. Best I've ever tasted and I've had similar all over. We had a portobello mushroom and it was quite large. Excellent sauce and the sausage plus spinach was excellent. A good Cesar salad and then penne with mushrooms. This was light and loaded with tasty vegetables. We're not vegetarian but expect this would really fit the bill. No desert. Too full. Excellent wine selection at good prices. This was very much within our budget. The decor was classy with dining on first or second floor as well as outside. Absolute gem of a place. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!

Lynn B.

Yelp
Scarpa's is my favorite restaurant on Boca Grande! The food is fabulous and a great atmosphere!! The service is always great too!

Aidan C.

Yelp
Spent NYE with a party of 8 here. This restaurant knows how to turn tables quick, attentive service and food was delicious.

Gina C.

Yelp
We eat at Scarpa's on a regular basis. The food is good, but not exceptional. The service is usually good and they try always to find us a table. It is a popular place on the island to eat as the selections are limited. I always enjoy eating there, and the prices are not terribly high.

P K.

Yelp
Potential but comes out short. Mostly because we asked for the "house" white and was served a glass costing $22 !!!! We didn't see that price on the menu either. Yes the wine was good but we were taken advantage of by our server. He didn't share the cost until we asked for refills then confessed the wine was $22 per glass. Don't care how good the food is - you let your staff get away with that ......never returning.

Mindy C.

Yelp
Amazing locally owned place! The food is special as is the service. This place used to be Seagrille or (something) anyway, hubby got the special which was Beef Wellington and it was fabulous and worth the cost. I got the chicken Marsala ..epic and my Mom got the stuff portobello mushroom! Dessert was blueberry creme brûlée. You must go!

John T.

Yelp
Great food, great staff and a beautiful restaurant. 2 floors of seating with indoor and outdoor seating.

Amanda P.

Yelp
Came here for an anniversary celebration. The atmosphere was lovely and the customer service was great. Everyone was friendly, prompt, and made sure we had a great time. The food was pretty great. I highly recommend the mussel appetizer, so yummy! I wasn't a fan of the broccoli side that came with my meal, but others with me liked it so it may have just been my taste. The Creme brulee was out of this world. We pretty much inhaled it so I wasn't able to take a picture, lol!

Ricky C.

Yelp
This place is Amazing! We came to this town for three days. We ate dinner two nights in a row at this restaurant. That tells you how good it is! Both servers were very knowledgeable and attentive. Specially enjoyed our 1st night service from Annie. She was really friendly and made great recommendations! In terms of the food, from the starter to the dessert, the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding! Here are the dishes that we love: Starter - Mussels, Eggplant Rollettin, Prosciutto wrapped shrimp and Crabcake (little too tiny) Salad - Caesar salad - perfect taste and right amount of dressing! Entree - Black grouper. Linguine with clam sauce and Lasagna. All pastas are house made except ravioli. Kids menu - meatball linguine - my child was able to finish the whole dish which is unusual! Dessert - must try raspberry delight , tiramisu and finish with double espresso. Everything was so good! You won't regret the experience you receive from this place! Can't wait to go back again!!

Laura T.

Yelp
Amazing crab cakes and snapper! They got us in with little wait during tarpon season. Great staff and our kids enjoyed it as well.

Steve S.

Yelp
Took a nice pleasant Sunday morning motorcycle ride to Boca Grande. Stopped for breakfast at Scarpa's based on all the rave reviews. Easy parking, quaint location, no waiting. Service was excellent and the food was great. Bloody Mary was a good start with bacon and shrimp. Coffee was great and the cup was kept filled. I've never had, or even thought of a meatball omelette so I had to try it. I'll probably order it again next time I go. Really tasty along with the home fries and homemade biscuits. For the location, atmosphere and the quality of food, the prices are reasonable. We're looking forward to coming back for dinner!

Mark B.

Yelp
Awesome food! Service was excellent! Down for tarpon fishing and this has been our best meal since we've been here. Your GO TO place on the island. Mark

Christin G.

Yelp
We went here on Mother's Day weekend for dinner. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we didn't get a welcoming feeling at all. The teen hostess just blankly stared at us when we walked in. I thought I had just walked into a closed private event or something. We got seated at a table up against the wall right beyond entryway. Felt this was an odd choice considering every other table was wide open but the food was really great and our waitress was so friendly. She recommended the raspberry cheesecake for dessert and it was incredible. Thanks to her our whole experience was turned around!

Kathy C.

Yelp
Such a great place! Great Italian on The Isand. We did a decent Boca pub crawl, starting here. Awesome mussels, stay for the sauce. Shrimp w prosciutto to die for. Friendly peeps. Go back every year

Michael E.

Yelp
I took my family of four to Scarpa's on a rather slow night in August. The waitress was friendly and attentive. My wife had Penne with mushrooms and cream sauce which was very delicious. I had the Chicken Francese, which was also excellent. Nice ambiance, great food. Nice beer and wine selection. Highly recommended.

Amber R.

Yelp
We have been going to Scarpas from day one. They have amazing food and incredible service! The owners are very involved and will accommodate your needs. I highly recommend Scarpas!

Sue C.

Yelp
First thing, I would give this restaurant 5 stars if it weren't for the overpricing. The food, service and atmosphere were all five star. $7 for a bottle of water? $11.50 for piece (small) of cake? If price doesn't concern you, go! Get the snapper or any of the pasta dishes and make double sure you add a meatball. They are almost as good as mom's.

Warren S.

Yelp
Unpleasant experience Our party of 8 arrived at Scarpas early in the evening. The waiter described the night's special of a steak meal with seafood topping. The two first-time visitors we invited to go with us both ordered the special Their meals arrived way over cooked. When mentioned to the wait staff they were told the could not replace the steaks because they ran out. This sounded very strange since it was early and the meals were the special. They were served a small vegetable plate and salad instead. Late in our very long stay at Scarpas, a manager (not sure of exact position) came to talk about the situation. He explained they would have to pay for their meal and wine (which was billed at $10 more than listed on the wine menu). Our guests refused to pay and he responded by pointing at them and saying they would have to pay. Another guest overhearing this said that with this kind of customer no-service she would not return. The manager said he did not care! Guess what? We won't be back.

Lisa P.

Yelp
My Husband and I learned Scarpa's Coastal is now open for breakfast. We were greeted at the door by a smiling face and led into the dining room. Our server, Lisa, was there immediately to say hello, with a smile. The menu had wonderful selections of traditional and non traditional breakfasts. I have never had my food served so quickly. Everyone there was pleasant and had time to make you feel welcome and appreciated. There is also an area outside for people who which to bring their four legged friends to breakfast. Great idea. Lisa P

Ron M.

Yelp
We went to Scarpa's Coastal on date night and the service and food was exceptional! My wife had chicken alfredo and I had the Snapper. Our appetizers were awesome as well as the dessert. They may a new restaurant, but the Chef is no rookie! His food and staff are INCREDIBLE!!

Susan H.

Yelp
I worked here for 2 nights 10 hours total as a hostess with Great excitement and enthusiasm. On my second night a server who is a Rough, hard core, masculine (person) struck me from behind. I didn't see it coming. She slammed a menu so hard into my chest. Malicious with intent. No apologies nothing!! When i spoke with Ashley and Glenn Scarpa about the incident I was told she runs off a lot of new employees and they have reprimanded her numerous times but,,, she was a valuable asset to their company. ,, blah blah, I wasn't buying the excuses made for her ,, there is No Excuse!! I was told I didn't fit anymore,, What? She's a Bully. I have Never been Struck by anyone in my life. Especially in a workplace and this was Allowed. There is no repercussion for her and she knows it. She can do as she pleases. Sad that the Scarpa's are RUN by a brutal server !! What Employer allows an Employee To Strike Another? Huge Liability is an asset at Scarpa's!!

Kathryn G.

Yelp
went with a big group, spur of the moment. They were welcoming & food was delicious! Best meal we've had in a very long time! Very high quality cuisine. Can not wait to go back!

Scott G.

Yelp
We came here for a anniversary. The food and ambience was very good but the service was not good at all. We had a younger girl and she was not professional and very short tempered. We ended up canceling our dessert just so we could leave.

Mike L.

Yelp
Didn't go well. Food was cold, Spaghetti was hard, 5 of the clams where closed shut aka dead... Unfortunately My wife didn't notice till she had already eaten 3... That should never have left the kitchen... Hopefully Management will review this... and yes my wife got terribly sick... to be fair they did comp the meal and drinks.... Our Waiter was excellent, this doesn't reflect on him.
