If you want to live large, even for just a couple of hours, go here. I knew I hit the fancy button when I tried to open my car door and the valet guy came barrelling up to the car window all breathless, panic-stricken at the thought of my having to open my own door. It's cool, I got it.
Our party of six requested outdoor seating, and the afternoon brunch was just perfect - beautiful setting, glamorous hotel, classy service, and great, great food. The servers changed our silverware after every round to the buffet - yes, every round. I made a quiet joke to my sister that they'll have to come back five more times because I planned to get my money's worth. The server laughed, and said he wouldn't mind coming back ten times! Now that's cool. The food was top notch - from the pastries, to the sliced Italian meats, to the prime rib and lamb, to the amazing seafood (oysters were oh-so-fresh). The crab claws were split open for you so you never had to get your hands dirty. The famous spaghetti lived up to the hype, and I am now going to use extra, fat noodles at home just like Scarpetta does. The many side dishes - from beets, to mushrooms, to potatoes, etc. - were varied and complemented the rest of the buffet. I will recommend this place. It's beautiful and delicious! Thank you!
