Scenic Hotel Te Pania

Warm, friendly staff, nothing was a problem. Clean and tidy room. Comfy beds, plenty of blankets for warmth, along with a heat pump. Amazing views. Plenty of towels, as is often not the case in other hotels. Food in the restaurant was fabulous. Only downside was being able to hear traffic noise at night, and needing to wear earplugs to sleep. We also weren't told about a discount we were eligible for, found out about it from a sign outside.

The views are the major drawcard for this property, with it designed to enable all rooms to have the benefit of the sea view. I appreciated the views on arrival, and then the sunrise the next morning. The hotel is well-located for events at the Napier War Memorial Centre, and is also close to the CBD. The room was well laid out and comfortable with the usual amenities.

Staff were incredibly friendly both in the hotel reception and in the restaurant. The room was really nice and the beds were unbelievably comfy (with the correct amount of pillows each haha). We were pleasantly surprised to discover that there are laundry facilities on site and the front desk was able to provide us with coins to use which made our lives easier. Due to our busy day and late arrival, we decided to eat at the restaurant and the food was excellent - pricy but really quality food (same goes for breakfast). Oh and not to be forgotten - free parking!!

Great place to stay in Napier. Arrived in the room to some mini cookies which the kids loved. Amazing view of the sunrise in the morning. Great location to all the popular cafes and restaurants. Loved the fact that we could go across the road and the kids could scooter everywhere. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and would love to come back again soon

Very spacious room and with partial views of the sea from my room. The hotel is near the town area which makes it a nice base to explore the sights of the town such as the museum, the waterfront walk and some of the main architecture highlights. Parking is free if you are driving.

Thank you Scenic Hotel Te Pania. We had a nice stay in a nice clean room with great views. Breakfast was very nice. I would recommend for people to stay here as its close to town with lovely views of Ocean. The Staff were lovely.

We arrived early from an overnight flight. The staff were great in rushing an early checkin for us ahead of the usual time. |The free access to the gym across the road was nice also. |This was our second trip and we’d happily stay again.

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely man. Check in was quick and easy. Room was lovely and tidy except for some hair missed under the rubber bath mat. I was not concerned about this and removed it with some paper. Not much sound proofing and you get noise from inside and outside. Bed was super comfy and loved the opening windows. They would be lovely in summer. To get a decent sea view you need to be on floors 4 and up. We were on 2 and view was limited, but we paid accordingly. The receptionist in the evening was not helpful. I'm use to reception making bookings, not being unhelpful and then telling us to go see her and pointing to the restaurant. Restaurant ladies were wonderful. Food, however, was lacking. Chips were great but chicken was dry and salad was just 2 slices of radish and a large handful of lettuce mix, with some sort of dressing. Pulled pork burger tasted ok but lack of greens made the meat mixture seem very rich. To top off the stay we were woken with a call at 2145 to say the paper wouldn't be available in the morning. I would have been happier with no call at all! Overall, we will not stay here again.
