Scent of Green Papaya Resort

TL;DR: Fantastic resort with incredibly helpful staff (shout-out to MJ & Gel!), spacious and clean rooms, and a great location that's both walkable to Alona Beach and has a convenient free shuttle. Absolutely would stay here again!||||Full Review: My stay at Scent of Green Papaya Resort was amazing right from the start. The check-in process was so easy, and the staff graciously allowed us an early check-in once our room became available. MJ and Gel were so helpful from the moment we arrived, going above and beyond to assist with all of our questions throughout our entire stay.||||The room (I had the King Superior) was spacious and immaculately clean, and the pool was always pristine. The resort offers a free shuttle service to and from Alona Beach from 7 AM to 5 PM (except Wednesday), but it's also a very manageable walking distance.||||Just a note for future guests, you'll need to pre-select your breakfast choice the day before. I will definitely be coming back here on my next trip to Panglao. Highly recommended!

We loved this hotel. We spent five nights here and enjoyed it a lot. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Always courteous and nice. The pool is also great and the location is wonderful: very quite and just five minutes walk from the main road plus there is a shuttle during the day that will take you and return for free. Great value for money and highly recommended.

beautiful hotel grounds, pool was lovely and always clean! Staff were so friendly and kind always attentive and helpful with any request or issue. Free shuttle to Alona beach was frequent and on time! Recommend booking the countryside tour through the hotel as well we had CJ as our driver for the day and he was very kind friendly and informative! Shower wasn’t very powerful and bed was very firm but both personal preference so not major issue. Would highly recommend! 😌

Scent of green papaya is a great resort to escape from the busy streets of Bohol and relax. The pool is cleaned frequently, the rooms are cleaned every morning and the staff is very helpful. There is also a shuttle every hour to Alona beach if you don’t feel like walking. The breakfast is delicious too! Would 100 recommend and great price to value ratio.

We had an amazing experience in Scent of Green Papaya! Perfect blend of authenticity, comfort, localisation and welcoming. - Bedroom are simple but clean, beds very comfortable and convenient (safe, hair dryer) - Breakfast are simple but all you need for this level of prices - Pool is big & clean with numerous sun beds - Lovely small bar/restaurant where you can order coffees/drinks/snacks Staff is very nice and helpful (to book a tok tok or grab). Please note the beach is not directly near the hotel, but not far (the 10mn walk at least). Definitely best deal for this price.

This was a very nice resort to stay. It is just a short drive off the main road near Alona Beach. Staff was very friendly and always greeted us with a smile. They offered us a fruit drink when we arrived. We were hungry from our flight and they have food on site. Menu has local dishes plus others like Cheese bacon burger. Food was good. Rooms are nice with a safe. Complimentary water the first day in room. Bathroom was okay. Water pressure a little low for me but was expected. They do clean rooms daily which was nice. Resort has a nice size swimming pool which the family enjoyed. Plus they have a smaller between the rooms I stayed in. The courtyard area is beautiful and plants, walks, etc are taken care of well. A nice plus is when we arrived back at resort late, they would take our breakfast orders so they could have it prepared when we came over to the dining area in the morning. They do have a shuttle to Alona Beach or if you like you could walk but roadway in a few spots are small and you have to move over if a vehicle is coming. The resort is gated so you do feel safe there. Plus a small area to park. I would recommend to others.

Absolute amazing small resort close to the beach. There is a shuttle service every hour, and the service is amazing, very friendly, very thoughtful of everything, and the happy hour rum cola made me happy indeed 😂 clean, isolated from noice, everything made us feel peaceful 🙏☺️

Not a giant luxurious resort but very cosy and nice. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Love the swimming pool also. Highly recommended!
