Google
Schnitzels are delicious and cheap especially for location. €12 for schnitzel two sides and two sauces. Cool interior covered in stickers. Toilet could be cleaner, and there was no toilet paper. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would go again 👍

Google
I was fortunate enough to meet the owner of this wonderful business who was very welcoming. The business itself focus’s on high quality food and that is evident from the delicious food that our group had. I could happily recommend visiting to anyone considering. If you stop by, please make sure you give some cheese to his dog, he’s very friendly and would appreciate it I’m sure. 10/10

Google
Fantastic place to stop, recharge batteries with lovely schnitzel and continue visiting. You have seats in an outdoor area and also inside. The people there are extremely helpful and nice, and the food is very good. You have the typical screens to order very easily so language won't be a problem.

Travis Purnell

Google
The ordering process is very easy and the prices of the food and drink are standard. The schnitzel is very tasty and yummy. Also, the staff were lovely and had lots of character.

Google
SCHNITZEL! Probably the best Schnitzel in Berlin. Had one with egg and mushroom sause + French fries. D!licious! Nice concept with fast self crevice ordering on screen, helpful and friendly staff but keeping the cost down. I like it. Sat "outside" watching the busy traffic rush by, but there is also a calmer indoor area. Not many Schnitzel places open at mid day but this one opens early.

Tayla Robinson

Google
Absolutely knock out place. Super cool vibe in the store with a lot of seating and bathroom. They use touch screens to order with multiple language options and the food is customisable with your different sides and sauces. You collect when it’s ready. So delicious! Super thin schnitzel and the sauce and fries were quite good too especially for 9.90 euros unheard of for a schnitzel, highly recommend

Google
Huge portions of schnitzel! Considering the size and quality of the meal, it's a lot of value for the money. And they know how to make their schnitzels perfectly, as it's the only thing on the menu. As a tourist, you'll find this place to be very "Berlin": graffiti and music posters on the walls, simple but nice looking furniture, great German food.

Fast service. The food was really good, great portions and taste specially for the price. Very affordable

Yelp
While visiting Berlin I wanted to try traditional food and the schnitzel was the main thing that came to mind other than sausage and potatoes. I did a quick search on my phone for food and while looking through the results I saw this place had good reviews and it was close to another tourist destination I wanted to check out. When we arrived it still early for dinner so the restaurant was really slow. I think it was just me and my friend and 1 other customer at the restaurant. We got serviced right away so we could place our order. The staff spoke English and answered all our questions with a smile. The places looks fun with writing and graffity writing all over the bathroom and the dinning room. It was clean when we visited but then again it was super slow when we visited. The restaurant itself was easy to find and had access to public transportation. I will agree with some of the other reviews, the meat was thin but it did have lots of flavor. I did enjoy my 'traditional' German plate and maybe next time I will order 2 plates to really get my fill. It was very affordable compare to other places but I would for sure go again to try a different plate if I were to go back again.

Yelp
Although located in a very busy location in Berlin, I'll agree with some of the reviews that the schnitzel is thin and a bit dry. Ordered the jagerschnitzel and even with the mushroom sauce was a bit to put down. With such a thin filet you have twice as much breading to meat ratio which makes an unsatisfying meal.

Yelp
Great food for a good price. It came quickly as well. Good vibe overall would definitely recommend. Kind of in a hidden spot

Yelp
A great place to eat in Berlin. Schnitzel can often be overpriced and overrated in many of the restaurants in Berlin. However, shears is an exception always well done and always a great price point. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone
google avatar

Yelp
Very thin 5mm snitzel breading fried crisp. Not enough mushroom to cover the snitzel. The grease is so strong you can smell it outside. But I had to try as it has such a high rating. Had better with quality ingredients and cash only too. You get what you pay for. Place is down street from a party night club and open late. Can see why this place has a following. Seedy part of town as well under the train station ramp.

Yelp
Amazingly priced schnitzel that is pretty damned delicious!! My wife and I went here upon arrival into Berlin as we were too tired to go anywhere else. We ordered two schnitzel plates but unfortunately my wife wasn't feeling well and didn't eat any of her plate. So after finishing mine I thought oh maybe I'll have a little bit of hers and before I knew it I had eaten both plates completely. How am I not 200 kilos??? Anyway, go here for your schnitzel fix

Hal W.

Yelp
Great place. We really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. Nice history of music events the walls. Cash only.

Yelp
This was actually my favorite spot in Berlin (don't judge me!). The schnitzel was hot and crispy and the fries were perfectly made. I got the one with mushrooms and it was delicious with the added side. We also got beers (none of which we knew) but we went by his suggestions and my lager was pretty good. The shop is relatively small, so I probably wouldn't suggest it for a large group but it was cozy spot, perfect for 2 -4 people. The experience was made even better by the friendly man at the front who was definitely used to tourists but still kept a smile on his face. Definitely recommend, especially if you're coming to see the east side gallery, it's a 3 minute walk from there.

Yelp
My first schnitzel with fries, salad, and beer seemed to hit the lunchtime need. Good service. Food freshly cooked and to you in short time. Indoor and outdoor quick style place, not a fancy restaurant.
google avatar

Kyle R.

Yelp
Would have been 5 stars but the chef ticked me off! Didn't realize it was cash only so placed order and said I would run to get cash. He looked at me like I had lost my mind! He said we would not make the food until I paid. I then asked if he allows people to call in an order. He says yes. Enough said. The regular ole pork schnitzel was really nice. I just loved the sauces too. I tried the homemade tartar and garlic aioli. Did you see the prices?! I got ALL this food for €5,50! Def worth the bad service!

Yelp
They don't take credit cards and I didn't have enough cash to buy the veal :( I came all the way from Pennsylvania and couldn't try the signature dish. Nevertheless, this is an OK meal. It comes with a side of Germany's ubiquitous generic fries. The are pretty plain steak-style fries. Nothing really exciting or crispy unfortunately. The Chicken Schnitzel was pretty good. The chicken was nicely marinated for a juicy texture. Although I'd prefer it to be a bit more fall-apart (like Chik-Fila.) The bite resistance was still fairly strong in this one. The breading is pretty generic and lack flavor complexity (hence they give you lemon, no meat should need lemon.) The most interesting part of this joint are the sauce options. I got the garlic mayo, which was pungent and unctuous; a very nice place for the fries to swim. The interior is trendy/grungy and the service is friendly. I'd come back, but only if BurgerMeister down the street had a long line.

Yelp
One would call the vibe in Scheers umm dive bar like with random posters on the walls and drawings about... and dimly lit.... now if you're able to get over the ambiance then go ahead and order yourself a schnitzel because it's pretty damn good and a nice generous portion too. And if you're extra hungry there is a size me up option which involves 2 pieces of schnitzel. I recommend the schnitzel with potato salad or with French fries whatever you're in the mood for at the time. There are a variety of sauces you can pair with your schnitzel. Yup I decided to try all of them, fav being the curry one and the garlic one. Utensils and paper towels are right by the area you order and at the end of the meal simply toss away the paper plates in the trash and throw the used utensils in that bucket of soap water by the trash. All in all I'll be back during my next visit to Berlin because hey.. it's some yummy schnitzel

Yelp
Great location, great value for what you are getting and if you are taking friends outside of Germany for a visit - this place represents the east Berlin vibe that young people or millennials will enjoy. The schnitzel taste is good, the vibe and location has its own Berlin style, you are right next to the Berlin Wall and close to the water. The price is nice. You have varieties of schnitzels to choose from. All good! Why not 5 stars - As someone born and raised in Berlin Germany, I just had better schnitzels but would recommend this place!
google avatar

Farhat K.

Yelp
The schnitzel was on point. It was fried very well and was juicy and crispy. The potato salad was also good. The cooks were also friendly.
google avatar

Lexi R.

Yelp
This awesome food joint is right where the East Side Gallery starts, so grab a meal here after admiring the murals on the Berlin Wall! It's delicious and affordable. I got the BBQ schnitzel sandwich with cheese for 4.80 euro. They have traditional Wiener schnitzel as well for less than 10 euro! They have plenty of sauces to choose from to compliment your food (curry, ketchup, aoili, chili, etc). Order and pay at the counter, they'll tell you what number to listen for. Once you hear your number, go back to the counter to pick up your food :)

Yelp
Price is very good. But it's cash only store.... Unfortunately, it took me more than half hour to get there and I don't cash. Store looks dirty and very small. But very popular. Didn't get chance to taste...

Yelp
This was likely my favorite Schnitzel on my excessively schnitzel-filled recent trip. I went with traditional, forgoing a intimidatingly long and delicious looking list of decadent items like mushrooms gravys and bacon, and got mine served plain along with fries and lemon wedge. In terms of thickness, this one fell squarely in the middle of the various ones sampled, which is to say still very thin by normal standards. On its own it was simple and delicious, and already exceedingly filling. Fired to a perfect golden brown and wonderfully moist vealness on the inside, it was a deliciously gut-busting welcome to what immediately became one of my favorite cities. The technically marvelous cutlet was actually bested however to the perfectly crisp, steakhouse-cut size fries. I was unexpectedly delighted by the exceedingly high quality of "french" fries in this country and these beauties were the best I've had in some time. Some how I still got change back from 10 Euros for all of this insanity. A myriad of flavored mayos are offered to dunk your deep fried goodness in and plenty of cheap and wonderful German beers are offered to wash it down with. The setting smack in the middle of the wonderfully seedy club district that has made this city so infamous provides a much needed place to offer a solid base, or substance to soak up all of whatever substances one might be imbibing on a night out here. The location, combined with its dank, graffiti scarred interior, and face-tattoo sporting clientele transported me back to the Alphabet City of my early youth, a place long and gone, and that was a wonderful yet profoundly bittersweet feeling,....

Yelp
Schnitzel is a battered, fried piece of pork. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was quite disappointed by the simplistic snack. A wedge of lemon sat on top of the Schnitzel and I consumed it rather quickly. The meat wasn't dry.
google avatar

Jennie B.

Yelp
When I'm near touristy destinations, I expect to find subpar food for a great deal, or subpar food for a subpar deal. This won't be the best schnitzel of your life. However, it is pretty good schnitzel, at a great price, with friendly service, very close to East Side Gallery. Tons of options, chicken, pork, vegetarian, veal, sauce on top, no sauce, sauce on the side, dipping sauces, whatever your heart desires, this place delivers. I wanted more butter, I got more butter. The schnitzel is a bit thinner, so if you're debating portions, I recommend going bigger.
google avatar

Emily Y.

Yelp
Incredible schnitzel place!! For 5-7 €, you can get a huge meal with schnitzel, fries and coleslaw - 1€ extra for chicken schnitzel. The double portion includes a second piece of schnitzel. Two of us split one normal order (schnitzel with fried mushrooms and butter) which was perfect for a small meal, but would be super filling for one person. Great food and the location at one end of the East Side Gallery makes it convenient to stop by if you're visiting as a tourist (but luckily it isn't overrun by tourists!)
google avatar

Pasquale S.

Yelp
Really good find! Schnitzels are very good and big portions. I tried the schni po sa which comes with tasty fries and a salad. All on their menu comes with a very fair price! Will definitely visit this place again.
google avatar

Kendra M.

Yelp
Pros: -Great price -Indoor and outdoor seating (with shade/covering) -Large menu with a lot of different schnitzel variations. I had no idea there were so many! -Several sauces to dip your fries or schnitzel in. -They have a very good, well translated English menu I can't say if this is the greatest schnitzel you'll ever have, but you can't beat the price, and it was tasty.
google avatar

Kammy F.

Yelp
Love their schnitzel topped with butter fried mushrooms & herbs. The order comes with the French fried & a side coleslaw. I saw people order the bun and it looks amazing.
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
Well, not a fine dining place, but definitely a fantastic place to eat, great service, and really great schnitzel!
google avatar

Rita M.

Yelp
The food is tasty but not too elaborate (crispy and flavorful schnitzel with fries) which is expected considering the price. Tourist friendly since you have an English menu and the people also speak English. Cosy environment if you wish to stay inside, but there is also the option to eat outside. Whenever your order is ready they will call for your order number. Simple, cheap, efficient and tasty. A great bang for your buck.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Great schnitzel and potato salad at a great price. Great for a quick lunch right near the east side gallery. They have English menus on the counter if needed.
google avatar

Anne M.

Yelp
Talk about a deal! This place serves amazing schnitzel at an incredible price - be sure to try the garlic aioli!
google avatar

Sushi X.

Yelp
Got the chili cheese schnitzel. Kind of tasted like slightly lower quality than some the nicer schnitzel places I visited. It was decent I guess for the price, and it has a cool hip atmosphere but I probably wouldn't come back. Also, this was the only place on my entire Germany trip that gave me travelers diarrhea, for whatever reason, either something was off with the food itself or someone didn't wash their hands before handling my food.
google avatar

Angela W.

Yelp
nothing special, but cheap and fast. the schnitzel was good, the fries were okay. They offer a variety of sauces including their homemade tartar sauce which is pretty good. everything here is under €10 which is nice.
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
Yum! Right next to the East Side Gallery under the bridge, this location is convenient and pretty easy to find. There are a lot of options for toppings, but I got the plain one with potato salad. They also have mustard, ketchup, tar tar sauce, and some other bottles of sauce. The cashier was also quite friendly when I asked what sauces Germans usually eat with the schnitzel. The meat is well-breaded, but you can still taste the meat, and combined with my potato salad, it was really good. This is the first and only schnitzel I got to try in Berlin, but it was a pretty good one!

Phoebe W.

Yelp
Cute, grungy, delicious food. A friend and I arrived in Berlin that morning and were looking to grab a quick lunch near our Airbnb. Like traditional Berlin culture, the decor was eclectic and fun - graffitied walls and colorful stickers everywhere. It's a simple restaurant with limited seating. I ordered the schnitzel with fries, and it was cooked perfectly. Lots of good sauce options. Everything is served on paper plates - super casual. The food did take almost 20 minutes to come out and the restaurant was nearly empty, so that's something to note. Overall a decent place for a snack or meal.
google avatar

Pitra A.

Yelp
We finally found a place with great schnitzel and the portions were huge comes with coleslaw and fries
google avatar

J L.

Yelp
Super delicious food. I didn't get to spend much time in Berlin, but I'm very glad I found this place. I feel like I received a great introduction to schnitzel. Some advice: try all of the sauces.
google avatar

Kinga K.

Yelp
Fresh, fast, cheap and delicous! I love this place! Schnitzel in Berlin? Only there! This dish is perfect. You can choose chicken or pork and so many combination. I always choose the thin piece of pork with french fries and so simple salad. All together it tastes perfect and cost only 5 euro. The location directly at the East Side Gallery. The appearance of this place is not exclusive, but is very clean. I'll always come back to Scheer Schnitzel!
google avatar

Suzy V.

Yelp
Great schnitzel! I got the veal w/ fried egg w/ potato salad and garlic sauce. I was very satisfied. Would recommend that meal and this place. Cash only!
google avatar

Yelp
Great place with great price! We wanted to have lunch somewhere near the metro station. This place was the closest with the highest rating. We decided to check it out. Basically it's very easy to find if you are on the right side of the Warschauer Platz. We circled a bit as we were on the uneven side... could be because of the heavy weekend we had. When we entered the bit alternative looking restaurant, the guy asked us what language we spoke: he gave us an English menu which was very clear and well explained. We went for the double portion. Order at the counter. There were enough tables to sit down and enjoy the posters on the counter and the variety of clients visiting this place. We didn't have to wait long before our number was called. The food was just great: two nice schnitzels, frites, salad and all sauces of the world. The frites were nicely seasoned. We left the place fully stuffed for only 22 EUR with drinks included. We defiantly are coming back here. Thank you for the great service. Ps: loved your music!!
google avatar

Nick D.

Yelp
This place is great if you are starving near the East Side Gallery. It really was mediocre schnitzel. Came with soggy fries. Can't beat if you want a quick cheap meal, but like elsewhere in Berlin, you don't go here for the food!
google avatar

Krista M.

Yelp
Ordered the mushroom and herb butter schnitzel and I could easily eat that every day for the rest of my life. What a blessing this place is. Praise the food gods
google avatar

Esther K.

Yelp
i got the hamburger schnitzel, it comes with fried onions and a fried egg (order this to satisy your yolk porn cravings) the white herbal sauce was so so so delicious with the schnitzel.. the fries weren't anything special but delicious with this orange colored sauce; coleslaw also really good and well seasoned!! would recommend this spot
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
The schnitzel is breaded a little too thinly, so it can get dry at times. The sauces they provide make it more edible. The fries are amazing though.
google avatar

Adam S.

Yelp
Best tartar sauce I've ever had in my life!!! Great atmosphere in the place, and schnitzel hit the spot. More on the crispy dry side than moist fluffy side. But good value for money. But please... the tartar s
google avatar

Rebecca J.

Yelp
Schnitzel is a pretty popular / recommended thing to eat in Germany, so when I saw the yelp page for this place I had to come (especially because I was also near by and it was raining haha). I ordered the schnitzel with mushrooms, and was pretty impressed. The breading to meat ratio was good (not too much breading and not too much meat). The fries were average, but the best part was that they had SO MANY SAUCES!!! (I love sauces). They have mayonnaise, barbecue, garlic, tartar, ketchup, and 2 mustards. My favorite is the garlic sauce. Overall I enjoyed my schnitzel. My only complaint is that they didn't clean all the tables while I was there.
google avatar

Tholen B.

Yelp
Scheers is a wonderful schnitzel experience! As a student studying abroad in Berlin it gave me a trusty spot I could grab a quick and tasty lunch without breaking the bank! The Jäger was my go-to, but if you're in a hurry you can grab their schnitzel sandwiches (most under 5 euros and they are really fast at making them!) Only 50 meters from the East Side Gallery, and only a couple minutes from the Warschaur bahnhof, makes it a convenient location as well!
google avatar

Bruno N.

Yelp
Very good Schnitzel in Friedrichshain. The place is small but cozy and comfortable, the right choice if you don't have much time available and just wanna have a snack.
google avatar

Ruby C.

Yelp
If you're on a quest to eat Schnitzel, this place is a good option. There are many varieties offered including mushroom, chili, and even a fried egg. The schnitzel comes with either fries, salad, or potato salad. If you're not quite sure what to order and have a hard time reading the menu, they do speak english and are very friendly. There's a variety of condiments, lots of seating both indoors and outside. After eating at Scheers Schnitzel, venture to the East Side Gallery nearby.
google avatar

Mert P.

Yelp
Schnitzel only place. Perfect after east side galley. One of the best shnitzel i ever ate after vienna. I recommend 100%

Bryan H.

Yelp
Oh man, is this place good! Not touristy, yet welcoming. The Schni Posa is the Schnitz!
google avatar

Alison L.

Yelp
Scholid schnitzel schituation. They don't have an English menu but the staff was happy to explain the options to me. I got schnitzel topped with fried egg and a side of their delicious potato salad. Grab yourself a big beer and enjoy the outdoor seating. Scheers!

Yelp
Doesn't accept cards. Pointed me to an ATM outside (in a rather rude way) which did not accept any of my non-German bank cards.
