Best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life (and I’ve had a lot and am very picky with ice cream). Everything tastes very strongly of what it’s meant to taste like, the pistachio and hazelnut flavours are absolutely unreal! The only thing I don’t love is that strawberry only comes combined with basil (I think?) and raspberry with coconut. Personally I’m not a fan of those combos so never get them. If this happens to have changed/ does sometimes change, I’d love to know! I bring absolutely everyone that visits me here and no one’s ever claimed to have had better ice cream elsewhere.

One of the best gelatos I had for a couple of years. Many home-made options + great customer service. There are two dine-in area: one where you sit and order and the other where you have tall bar chairs. Both areas are kept clean and neat. Located at the heart of the busy shopping area. Highly recommend!!

Delicious gelato, with a regularly changing selection of tasty flavours both common and uncommon. Fruity flavours are very fresh and no sign of artificial additives. Lines can get a bit long on hot summer days, and it’s not the cheapest ice cream option - but well worth it in my opinion.

Absolutely delicious. I am never ever sorry when i come here. :) I love all the flavours they have, you will feel the quality ingredients they used, the staff is always kind and give you a good vibe. My favourite combination is mango with pistachio, but again everything is mind blowing.

Try everything!!! Wow!! I got to sample a few before ordering without judgement. The pomegranate basil was refreshing and unique. The Sicilian pistachio was divine, I'll take a gallon home please. The almond miso cookie was scrumptious. All 3 flavors were high quality. If I lived in Vienna, I would be here at least twice a week, and that's watching my waistline.

Very good little gelato shop. They had about a dozen flavors available and normal cups/cones. Four medium cups, each with two scoops, totaled about 16 euros. Seating outside is on crude wooden benches, but at least it's somewhat covered and provided a cooler spot on a hot summer day. Service was fast and friendly.

One of the most interesting of the many fine ice cream parlors in Vienna is Schelato on the Lerchenfelderstraße. Schelato is interesting because it offers so many unusual flavors for its quality ice cream. Occasionally all these exotic flavors don't always totally work as I found out with a recent Himbeer Weißschoko (Raspberry white chocolate) Eistüte (ice cream cone). The white chocolate flavor was not nearly as noticeable as I expected although it still tasted good on a warm evening in Vienna.

I love ice cream parlors in Vienna. There are some amazing ice cream options in the city and Schelato is one of them. It's not the best, but it's up there. I like that it offers some more interesting flavors than the ones you find at your average parlor. Salted caramel is a must-try- it's phenomenal. I also always love pistachio and theirs is no exception. The ice cream was a little on the sweeter side for me. For this reason, I prefer Eis Greisler but that place often has lines, which you generally don't need to worry about for Schelato, since it's a little out of the way. It's also nice to switch things up once in a while, so I'll definitely be back to try their other flavors.

I don't make this statement lightly....."possibly the best gelato I've ever eaten!" As a fanatic, I have had gelato from New York to Rome to Amsterdam to London to Hong Kong and beyond. However, the depth of flavors at Schelato is simply amazing. In particular, the pistachio, vanilla, lemon and salted caramel are simply crazy delicious. The line out the door is a great indicator of the appeal. The staff is super friendly and outgoing. Don't hesitate to try this Vienna treasure.

Honestly this place ties with 2 other great ice cream shops in the area. 5/5 on the mango and 5/5 for the style and selection. Price is on par, so really it offers an alternative in case you hit one of the other two stellar joints (Veganista and Ice Dream Factory). This one is a bit more simple in that there aren't the crazy experimental flavours or the meals aside from ice cream. Try the mango, which has awesome flavour tasting like a real mango.
