Hotel Capricorno

I can't say enough nice things about this hotel. Even before we checked in they sent an email with a lot of information and some useful tips and recommendations. When we arrived and checked in, the staff were helpful and extremely friendly and gave us a map (we were first-time visitors to Vienna). The room was spotless and just as shown on the website. The location is great - right by a metro, and so only a short trip to many sights. For those going to the airport, the VAL 2 bus goes at the end of the road - about an 8-minute walk - every half hour and is just 20 minutes to the airport. Breakfast had a great range, and there was coffee and cake available in the afternoon! My daughter and I had a great stay. Once again, the staff were wonderful - everybody we spoke to was friendly and efficient. We loved Vienna and hope to come back, we will definitely book this hotel when we do!

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Capricorno. The location couldn’t be more convenient—perfectly situated for exploring Vienna, with easy access to public transportation and many attractions within walking distance. The room was spotless and well-appointed, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable—I had some of the best nights’ sleep of my trip. The hotel maintains very high standards of cleanliness throughout, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that made for a great start to each day. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vienna.

Small but lovely little hotel situated so you can explore Vienna on foot. Although it's in a busy area (lots of traffic) the rooms are well insulated. I'm a light sleeper and I had no trouble with the noise. The staff is very friendly. Lovely bonus: there's free coffee, tea and cake between 3 and 6pm 🤩. I can absolutely recommend it for a short stay in Vienna.

The room was very quiet and clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff is fantastic. Marco at the front desk was very accommodating and helpful as was all the staff. The breakfast was ample with a great variety and the afternoon cake and coffee or tea was a pleasant surprise! The hotel is well located to public transportation but also close to the central area.

Excellent location. Near metro, tram and boat stations. Only 2 floors so you dont have to wait elevators. Perfect breakfast and very kind service. Room was very clean and peaceful. First of all - Claudia you are the best.

Everything about our stay at the Hotel Capricorno was excellent. The accommodation was comfortable, the breakfast excellent and the staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. It’s ideally located being close (but not too close) to the main attractions, near to the river, with transport connections just a few yards away. I’d certainly return and highly recommend it.

Fantastic place to explore Vienna. Underground at 50m, all must sees around the corner. Vibrant place in the centre of Vienna without the disturbance. Lovely staff, manager, reception, breakfast team, house keeping, everyone is friendly and seems to enjoy the work.

Great location to all the great sites to see, easy to access the public transportation system and walk to just about anywhere. Safe and clean hotel. Enjoyed having a balcony but view was slightly blocked. Not a big deal, just mentioning it.

Great place and am confused why there are no reviews. Very convenient to St. Stephen's and the subway. On a busy street but really quiet. Room felt brand new to me and was very comfortable with a nice balcony. The bathroom was really nice and I loved the shower head. It was one of the big ones that gives the impression it's raining on you. Morning breakfast was actually a breakfast. They have selections to choose from like a continental but the staff will make you coffee and eggs in any style you choose. Staff were all nice and welcoming. I'd stay here again if I came back.

This is our 2nd separate stay here..on the same trip to Europe! A great hotel from every aspect. The staff is just excellent. I could not have expected more! The rooms are very comfortable, and so practical! The breakfast is so good! I have to admit, we only had coffee outside the hotel once, that's how good their coffee is! The latte macchiato they make is fantastic! As I write this review, I am sitting alone in their eating area, and the person manning the front desk this evening brought me a piece of coffeecake! He also gave me an entire carton of milk when I need some for my daughter. You can't get any better than that! My only hope is that the staff receives hefty compensation for their hard work and attention to detail! We will be coming back!
