Good experience if you want to stay for a night after your hike. Sunning views and atmosphere. Perfectly equipped for a simple overnight stop(you can take a shower and even rent a towel if you don’t have one)

Such a nice refugio. We walked (and parked) from the lake in fie and walked ~6 hours uphill. Schlernhaus is v modern, the food was amazing and service super friendly. It’s only accessible by foot so you feel really remote. The views are amazing too! Highly recommend the goulash & the kaiserschmarren.

After doing 4 other rifugios on a week-long trip this place felt like the one the unlucky students who pull the shortest straw end up working at in the summer. The girls working the restaurant were nice enough but the place as a whole had a bit of a The Shining hotel vibe. Miscommunication about the showers - we were sold tokens but then the staff locked up the showers in the morning at the time they'd said it should be open. Also some idiots just left the windows open all night on our floor and it got freezing for no good reason (the heating when it turned on was so loud I thought it was a power station). Look, it does the job and I understand back in the day all you had was cold showers, but in contrast to the upgraded places (basically almost everywhere else we've been in the area) this was a major step down. Also I don't know why but the patrons there were much less friendly than elsewhere as well. Amazing location though. Was happy to get out of that one.

This hime was one of the best and longest from the lake down we went 4 h up to this amazing Refugio and then up to the cross where we got 360 view of all the tops of Dolomites! On the way was 3 other Refugio’s where was also amazing, cozy, good food and drinks! Dont worry and just enjoy the hike, was long but did not felt like it! Views was changing from woods, waterfalls and fields with mountain and flowers with butterflies :) we jumped inside the river where was bridges and road was really fixed! You can sleep in Refugio but need to book really early in advance, like some months before, is around 40/70 euro with food included. We went up and down on the same day. Just dont forget go up to the cross! Next to the Refugio, the best views in all this area!

Nice views and kind service. One shower so there can be a queue. Great dinner and breakfast

I have rarely been to such a comfortable hut with such a nice dining room. Water from the tap is drinkable, you can charge your phone in the room, the food is very good and you can choose between a huge variety of dishes. And the view around the location is very great.
