Loved it. The building is beautiful, with lots of interesting stone details. Inside, all the rooms are furnished, with lots of original paintings, period furniture, giant tiled heaters and antler trophy mounts dating to 1600 and earlier. The tour was excellent and the thoughtful guide even tried to translate for me. Without the tour, you can’t go inside. (Tours currently run April to October.)
On the premises are three very small shops for an artist, a woodworker, and a soap maker. The cafe is good and has great views but only serves cake and coffee.
